Moving to Australia! & 4 Things I’ll Miss About New Zealand

On Saturday 21st November 2009, I’ll be moving to Brisbane, Australia for one year.

In the last eight months I’ve been in New Zealand. Here’s a peek into the place and world that has been my home for the past nine months and here are some things I’ll miss…

    #1: The Vines

I am in the Marlborough region of New Zealand, which is a famous wine-growing region so vines are literally everywhere and part of the landscape.  If you have bought wine from New Zealand, chances are it might be made here.  If you’re a wine drinker, next time you’re in the Supermarket, look out in the NZ section for Cloudy Bay or Stoneleigh. They make that literally next to us. It’s good stuff. I love how the vines change through the seasons. In Autumn the leaves go brown, in winter they are bare and in spring they are covered in tiny green shoots.

Evening (about 6.30pm) is my favourite time of day.

     #2: Ruben and Billy

Ruben and Billy are my parents’ cats. I love cats because they’re independent and they basically do what they want. Ruben is the gentlest creature I’ve ever known. I love the expression on his face in this photo. The second one is of me and Billy who is greedy and very affectionate.

    #3:Wineries and Good Food

I’m a bit of a foodie. I love eating out and I love cooking so I have been in my element. Because there are so many vineyards here, there are also wineries with restaurants.

My favourite is the famous Allan Scott winery:

    Marlborough winery

I don’t eat meat but I eat fish.  It’s actually quite hard eating out and not eating meat, as they do love their meat here in New Zealand. Here is me having two desserts which I do sometimes just because I can!

I am fairly skilled at moving to new places, so I have the drill down pat by now. But all the same, please send me some good moving vibes.

  • Setting Money Intentions Using the Law of Attraction – Does it Work?

Setting Money Intentions Using the Law of Attraction – Does it Work?

Yes, as long as certain conditions are present. And to be honest, as with anything financial, I’m not sure how much the Law of Attraction comes into this. It’s more about good planning and taking actions that are aligned with your intentions.

If you want to set financial intentions more effectively, I have a simple little process to give you.  You can use this process to set your monthly money intentions and call on Spirit to help you reach your target.  For this, you will need some level of intuition.  So if you’re working on your intuitive development, this is a good process to use to develop your intuition as well.

I have to say, this process works really well for self-employed people because they have more control over their time and the amount that they can earn.  So, if you’re intuitive AND self-employed, I think you’ll find it useful.

    Me and My Money Intentions

Before I give you this process, I want to tell you a bit about what I learned when I tried manifesting money a few years ago. When I first saw the film ‘the Secret’ a few years ago, I heard one of the teachers in that film talk about manifesting money and cheques coming to them in the mail.  I thought this seemed like a pretty unlikely thing to happen to me, but I tried it anyway.  I willed money to come to me in general. I told the Universe I wanted to earn £2,000 per month. I didn’t get any cheques in the mail and my income didn’t go up (of course it didn’t – when did wishing for cash to rain from the sky ever work?!).

There were two reasons for this:

Firstly, I was not a vibrational match for earning £2,000 per month.  That means that I had not yet developed the resources in myself – motivation or personal qualities – of someone who could earn that amount of money. I had no passive income streams, no sense of purpose and I had no idea how I would earn more money. I was also very worried about my financial situation as I was living beyond my means and so my general sense of panic relating to money didn’t help either.

Secondly, I was not taking any strategic action – that is, actions designed to increase my income.  At that time, I had a job and I was earning about 1000 euros per month. So I just passively willed more money to come to me and hoped it would.

So, even though I said to myself ‘I’m going to earn £2,000 this month’, I didn’t achieve my goal because I hadn’t laid the foundations for achieving it and I had no method for getting there.

These days, most months I do remember to set an intention of how much money I want to earn in my business and most months I do reach my goal.

The reason for this is that I don’t just set an intention and hope for money to arrive in the mail.  There is more to my process than that, now.

So, here is the process for setting a money intention:

    Step one:

Ask yourself, what do you want to earn next month? Find a dollar figure (or a figure in whatever currency you’re working in).  Then ask yourself, ‘am I very far from being a vibrational match for earning this figure?’ Go within and consult with your gut.

You are aiming for a figure that you’re nearly a vibrational match for – say, 75% or 60% a match for.  You don’t want a figure that you’re already earning and 100% a vibrational match for.  You don’t want something that feels completely out of your league either. You want something that’s still a challenge though.

If you’re nearly a vibrational match you might feel excited but it’ll feel within your financial frame of reference; within your ‘league’ right now. It may feel uncomfortable to a degree but not completely uncomfortable. On the other hand, if you’re totally not a vibrational match, you may feel totally uncomfortable and as if it’s just not within your financial frame of reference to earn that figure you chose.  You can’t imagine earning it and you probably wouldn’t know what to do with it if you did earn it.

(By the way, if you have a pendulum, you can dowse on how aligned you are (in a percentage) with earning your chosen amount in the next month.)

If you can see that the amount you chose is TOTALLY outside of your financial frame of reference (i.e. too high) then try again with another figure that’s lower than the one you chose before. So if your ideal amount to earn was $5,000 per month, try $3,500/month the second time – go through the same process and ask yourself the same questions.

    Step two:

Ask yourself (or your Higher self):

    • What do I need to do to become a vibrational match for earning this figure?
    • Do I need to make any changes?
    • Are there any changes in attitude that I need to make?
    • What holds me back?

See if any situations, thoughts or information pops into your mind. Sometimes the answer comes pretty quickly – or you at least get a clue or a sense of what the changes are you need to make.  You could use automatic writing to get your answers if you prefer that method. Just put some time aside and ask Spirit for guidance. You may be surprised at what pops into your mind from nowhere.

Depending on the figure you chose, the things that come to mind might be pretty big changes, like work part-time and start your business.  Or they could be smaller changes.  Ask for guidance about strategic actions you can take to earn that amount and opportunities to become a better vibrational match for the amount you chose. If I had done this three years ago, I might have noticed that my tendency to panic in an irrational way about money wasn’t helping. I might also have noticed that I had no budget and was not tracking what I was spending or earning. I would also have noticed that I hated my job and needed to shift to something different.

If you don’t get any information at all on this, just release your intention to earn your desired amount and ask your Higher self to show you what you need to do (during the course of this month) to become a vibrational match for earning the amount you chose. This will probably turn out to be a journey, depending on how big your goal is (no quick fixes here). You may induce some shifts in attitude or life path if you put out this intention.

If you want to set financial intentions and have them come true, you need to TAKE ACTION. If you can’t bring yourself to take action, you either need to reconsider the course of action or if you’re convinced the course of action is a good one, you need to heal what is stopping you.

So, you can see how this process is more thorough and effective than just taking an arbitrary dollar figure you might or might not be a match for earning and hoping that figure will come to you passively. This is a process that takes into account the fact that we need to take actions for our dreams to come true and also, we need to grow into a person who can have or do what we want. It also takes into account the fact that we don’t have all the answers straight away – sometimes we just need to put out the intention, have faith and then wait for guidance that can take us there over the course of a month or longer.

Try this process and tell me in the comments whether you got any next steps or guidance.  Or leave a comment if you have any questions.

  • How To Interpret Your Dreams

    How To Interpret Your Dreams

Not all dreams are created equal. Some dreams are meant to be unraveled and interpreted and some are not. In this article I’m going to talk about the different dreams you can have and which ones are worth interpreting.

    Why We Dream

When we dream, we visit the astral planes around this planet. There are said to be seven positive and seven negative astral planes. We are supposed to visit the positive astral planes when we’re asleep for a number of reasons, here are some of them:

Reason #1: To stay connected to Spirit

The astral plane is not in the ether (i.e. the ‘other side’) but it’s not in this plane either. In a way, it’s like a half-way house between the spiritual and the physical. When you leave your body at night and visit the astrals, you experience what it is like to be alive but not in a body (a bit like how it is after death!)

Because the astral plane is like a half-way house between heaven (the ether) and Earth, dreams are an important part of our spiritual life – something that keeps us connected to spirit.

Therefore dreaming is an easy way for spirit to get a message to you.

If it’s really important that you receive a message from spirit about something, you’ll get a really clear and obvious one in your dreams – it won’t be cryptic. The message could come through an experience or understanding that you integrate while you’re in the astrals or it could be a message that comes through words or even song lyrics.

Reason #2: To Expand your perspective, change your vibration and get a change of scenery, energetically

As I mentioned, there are seven positive astral planes. There are many astral ‘places’ that you can travel to and learn in.

I personally feel like I travel in my dreams because when I wake up, I can feel completely different, like I’ve come back from a long trip away.

You ARE travelling while asleep, but just in the non-physical. And those dreams can renew you and transform the landscape of your reality, making you feel different when you wake up.

    Reason #3: To Serve Others

I’ve mentioned the concept of ‘dream masters’ once before in an article I wrote a while back: Why People Dream.

Dream masters are souls who participate in the learning experiences of others in the astrals. If you have lots of dreams with souls in it whom you don’t recognize, they are probably dream masters who have shown up to play a role in your dream so that you can take or learn something from the dream experience. Maybe you’ve had one of those learning experiences in a dream where something ‘clicked’ for you when you wake up and you just ‘get it’.

If you are one of these dream master souls who participates in the learning experiences of others (about 20% of my Akashic Record reading clients are) then you will have many dreams that are not meant for you to learn from. In fact, you may not remember them for that reason. But when you do remember your dreams they may seem to make no sense to you or they may all seem irrelevant to you.

    How to Interpret Dreams

A dream is basically your subconscious (or spirit) painting a picture, made of many brush strokes. What will it paint and add in, and why? Everything in the dream landscape is there for a reason – including what happened, the backdrop, the people in it and the symbols. (But really, if nothing in it has any meaning for you, don’t bother assigning any – it was probably not a dream that was meant for you to interpret.)

When you have a dream that you want to interpret, in your journaling or exploring, you can examine:

    What Happened?

This is the most obvious part of the interpretation.

What actually happened? Look for another layer of symbolism in the dream. For example, there are many connotations and layers of meaning to the verb ‘fall’. If you fall in a dream, what are you falling for? Or whom? Is it a case of pride comes before a fall? Look at each verb that you write out as an action in the dream.

Also, watch out for your own ‘inner language’ of symbolism…

If you and I both look at a picture or a tarot card, without knowing what the meaning of the card is, we will both hone in on and draw different things from the imagery of the card or picture, depending on our past experiences. There is no universal language of symbolism that applies to everyone.

Different symbols mean different things to different people.

To me, whales are sacred, as are dolphins. Cockroaches to me symbolize fear and inspire disgust. Doing exams means not having enough time for something or feeling under pressure. The ocean means the vast unknown that I haven’t explored. I’ve come to notice that having my teeth fall out is usually an anxiety dream. Depending on your personal experiences, all of these symbols may mean something entirely different to you so there probably isn’t that much point looking them up in a dream dictionary, especially not the old-fashioned dream dictionaries that think everything comes down to death, ruin or sex.

    Settings and Backdrops

Certain settings can crop up in dreams over and over and each backdrop is significant. It adds a whole different overtone to the dream if it’s set in the road where you grew up or somewhere in the past, doesn’t it? Sometimes dreams will be set in a completely unknown setting which lends an air of possibility or something futuristic to them. Some dreams feel like they already took place in the past.

Look also at the feeling and mood of the dream, as this is significant. My dreams are rich in strong emotions. Sometimes the mood can be very subtle and sort of in the background.

    Sounds

The funniest thing about my dreams is that when I get a clear message, Spirit will hammer it home even further by adding the perfect song which further reinforces the message. It’s actually funny how creative Spirit is with the songs. When I listen to music, for some reason I pay a lot of attention to lyrics and always remember lyrics of songs (more than the tune) so this is probably why I get lyrics in my dream which apply perfectly to the message I am already getting in the dream.

An Interesting Exercise for Inducing Dreams

Several weeks ago, when I was training a student to develop her abilities, the Spirit Guides gave the following exercise to pass on to her. It’s so simple I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of it before.

    • Write a question on a post-it note and leave it next to your bed.
    • Ask your Spirit Guides to send you a dream that answers the question just before you wake up.
    • When you wake, make sure you explore the metaphors and messages within the dream by journaling about it soon after – this is one half of the process.

This is an interesting exercise to do because you often get a dream in response to it. So, you can interpret your dream in the light of what you asked, which makes it easier to interpret and narrows down the area of life that it can relate to.

I tried this out several weeks ago and asked ‘Where am I going in my career, long term?’ It was not a question I particularly needed the answer to at that time, but I was obviously feeling some sort of uncertainty that day to have asked it.

The dream I had just before waking was definitely relating to career, but not exactly answering my question.

    Here’s what happened:

In the dream, I was standing outside the Akashic Records with a girl I had never met before. The Akashic Records looked a bit like this in my dream. (Everything in it was made of marble.)

    iStock_000001627113Small

This girl was my student and I was supposed to show her around the Akashic Records. It looked like an old museum in the Akashic Records and we kept going up to ledges that were high up. Whenever I got close to a ledge, I got dizzy but instead of me falling, when I got dizzy, my student would teeter on the edge of it and nearly fall. In the end, she did fall a long way onto the marble below and I was certain she was dead but when I got down there, she was actually alive and fine. I then went to have dinner with her and her family but I couldn’t look them in the eye because I let their daughter fall in the Akashic Records and I felt guilty.

This dream was clearly not a relevant response to ‘Where am I going, long term, in my career?’ but it addressed the question of ‘What is holding me back in my career right now?’

I got this dream just as I started doing a new coaching program for developing intuition with a dozen new students. I discussed this dream with one of my blogger friends and I realized that I was thrilled AND freaked out at the same time at all this responsibility of teaching in this area for the first time.

I also know I have a tendency to take on responsibility for other people’s experiences which is a big life lesson for me and also probably the biggest thing that holds me back in the area of career. So, remember that in response to asking a question, you may get an answer to another, perhaps more pressing question in your life, instead.

  • How To Stop Asking Life for Permission to Have What You Want

How To Stop Asking Life for Permission to Have What You Want

In the last few weeks, I’ve noticed one difference between people who are creating what they want in their lives and those who haven’t and aren’t.

Those who haven’t yet created what they want, are asking questions like:

    Is it my destiny to….?

    Will I ever….?

    Can I…?

Those are the people who feel like they need permission from SOMEONE to have, be or do what they want – permission from their spouse, from their parents, from their doctor, from their teacher, from their Spirit Guides, from God, from anyone.

Their steps in life are tentative and they are constantly worried that they are NOT meant to be having what they want.

They are the ones who are constantly looking out for signs from the Universe that they SHOULD be doing that thing they’re toying with.

    That they CAN do it.

They might say things like ‘maybe I”m just not MEANT to be doing this?’

It’s actually easier to consult God, check in with destiny or see if your astrological chart might give its seal of approval because that way you don’t have to commit to what you want or take full responsibility for creating it.

The second group of people, on the other hand, decide what they want and don’t bother consulting God or the Universe with questions like ‘but is this my destiny, though?’ (or not for longer than two minutes, anyway.)

They decide what they want and then allow themselves (and the Universe) some time to figure out how it will happen.

Obviously, we’re talking about desires within reason. There are some things you’ll never do. For example, I’m not going to win X-Factor nor am I going to become an Olympic high-jumper (I am about 5ft tall and not that good at singing).  Nor do I particularly want to do those things.  But on the other hand, I know I can give workshops, write a book, make twice or three times (or ten times) as much money as I currently do.

And I don’t need your permission or anyone else’s. I just need to want it – a lot, enough.

    What about you?

Do you keep asking for permission to have what you want?  Life/ the Universe isn’t your mummy and you’re not 5 years old (unless you actually are 5 years old.)  You decide what you get to have and what you don’t, and your desires are showing you the way.

This mentality is hard to master when you’ve been through an educational system that teaches you that you may not do that thing you want, not without asking. And hard to master when you’ve been taught that if you don’t play according to someone else’s rules at work, you won’t get promoted and you won’t get what you want.  You have to play the game, right?  Not in the grand scheme of things.

In life, YOU set the course, even though you may be immersed in systems which tell you otherwise. You work out the ‘what’ to create. And then the Universe responds by helping you come up with the ‘how’. No-one else sets the course but you and if you expect otherwise, you’ll spend your life asking for permission that you’ll never get.

What about you? Is there something in your life that you will give YOURSELF permission to want – and create?

  • The Top 4 Reasons You’re Not Receiving Intuitive Guidance

The Top 4 Reasons You’re Not Receiving Intuitive Guidance

    1. You’re not Asking Questions

One of the most common reasons for not receiving any answers is that you are not asking questions. Questions focus your energy and get answers. Don’t meditate and then expect the intuitive guidance you need to be offered to you on a plate once your mind is clear. It might come to you but more likely, it won’t. Instead, meditate, open your chakras and ask a question – you’re much more likely to get a focused, relevant response.

    2. You Are getting messages – but not seeing them for what they are

What if you ask a question and you get nothing in response?

It could be that you are getting an answer but it hasn’t come in the format that you’re expecting. For example, you could tune into your Spirit Guides, ask a question using your inner voice and then hear nothing.

But there are other ways to receive your answers – when you ask your question, make sure you try all of them because different messages come through different channels.

When you tune into your guides and ask a question, ask yourself – what do I see? (clairvoyance), what do I hear (clairaudience), what do I feel (clairsentience) and what do I know/what pops into my head? (claircognizance).

Often, intuitive guidance is staring you in the face but you can’t see it because it’s come in an unconventional format or one you’re not used to consulting, like your desires and feelings. They are perfectly valid feedback about your life too (even though they may not seem ‘spiritual’ or intuitive), so make sure you take those into account too.

In addition, divination tools like the Tarot, pendulums and Oracle cards can be useful to support or trigger your intuitive guidance.

If you really don’t pick up on any answers or guidance when you ask, release your question and wait for the answer to come when it is ready. I have had my intuitive answers come through events, situations, people and resources that appear out of nowhere at the right time. It isn’t always the right time to have your answer yet.

    3. You’re not yet ready for the answer to the particular question you’re asking

If you ask a tough question, then you may not be able to hear the answer or be ready for the answer. I’ve seen this in readings occasionally. The sitter asks a big life question and the guides say they’re not ready for the answer yet, or that they’ll figure it out soon in a natural way. That situation is kind of frustrating for me as a reader.

That can happen when you’re reading for yourself and getting your own answers – sometimes Spirit knows you aren’t ready just yet for the answer to the question you asked.

Here’s why you might not be ready…

Getting information from your Spirit Guides or higher self can sometimes be unsettling because it may challenge you to create the life you’ve dreamed of, and some people aren’t ready for that yet. For example, what if you work as a medical doctor and your training took several years and cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars. What if your higher self communicates to you that you’re unsatisfied with that line of work and want to find a more fulfilling career in a different field, when you’ve been quite invested in repressing that message for some time?

That message takes courage to hear and accept.

That message is broadcasting on the ‘courage channel’. Tune into those frequencies and you’ll hear it. But what if you’re not used to tuning into the courage channel? You’ll find it more difficult to receive and accept such a message. Your soul and Spirit Guides will know and they are not going to pass on messages that you aren’t ready to hear yet.

In addition, it could be an overwhelming message and it may need to be communicated over time, bit by bit. It may be a message that needs to come from someone else’s mouth or in another unconventional way in order for you to hear it.

Remember that intuitive development (hearing, valuing and voicing your truth) is part of the personal development path and all part of stepping into your own power and self-authority. If you’re not embracing your personal power, your intuitive development will suffer too. The more empowered you become in your life, the more you can hear those messages that empower you further in your life.

Intuitive development and personal development go hand in hand. The paths run parallel. You can’t do real intuitive development work and not develop spiritually or personally. Things change for you once you hear your inner self more fluently. Listening to your intuition takes courage and sometimes people have to catch up with other life areas in order to be ready for these messages from their Spirit Guides.

You’ve probably heard of the saying ‘when the student is ready, the teacher appears.’

It’s the same principle.  When you’re ready for your answer (AND ready and able to take action on it, it will come…)

In the mean time, ask, let go and be open to the message when it comes. Keep developing your intuition. Develop the other areas of your life too. And the answer will come at the perfect time, maybe in the most unexpected of ways.

    4. Your vibration is not high enough and you are feeling negative emotion

The only times when it’s been really hard to read for myself is when I’m in distress.

When we feel a lot of negative emotion, that will impede our capacity to perceive intuitive guidance.

Sometimes, those negative emotions ARE intuitive feedback about something in your life. They could be there because you aren’t meeting your needs, aren’t honouring yourself fully or have created life circumstances that you don’t like.

So, negative emotions are wonderful feedback about what you’ve created, what you’re in the process of creating and how you are viewing your life. Take these negative emotions into account, journal about them, and if you can, get to the bottom of why you are feeling them. Then, once you’ve honoured your feelings, get the spiritual perspective on it all.

Ask the angels to raise your vibration, meditate or listen to Binaural Beats (my favourite for releasing stress and anxiety). All of those can raise your vibration enough to be able to tune in and hear intuitive guidance. I’ve been told that before you raise your vibration, it’s like flying your plane through turbulence. Breath work (deep breathing) and calling on the angels or Ascended Masters can help you to raise your plane above the clouds, where it’s clear and there is no turbulence (i.e. emotional interference).

  • 5 Tips & Insights to Help You Work With Your Spirit Guides

5 Tips & Insights to Help You Work With Your Spirit Guides

One month ago, I launched a new coaching program, where I coach people to connect to their Spirit Guides and hear their intuition.

A dozen people enrolled on this course and I am having such a blast teaching them. Well, actually I am not teaching them.  For this course, I am channeling the lessons and homework from their Spirit Guides and passing it on to the students.

First of all, it is so interesting to see how everyone’s Spirit Guides teach differently. They just know where everyone’s strengths and blockages lie, so the lessons seem to get to the heart of the matter quite quickly.

And often, it has required a lot of trust and non-attachment on my part channeling lessons and homework from other people’s Spirit Guides – because sometimes I don’t see how the homework is going to help the student until AFTER they’ve done it.

So this program has been a big growth process so far for both me and the students, and I must say how fun it is to work with people one-on-one continuously – I love it!

    What I’ve Learned so Far…

I thought I knew quite a bit about psychic development before I started this program. (I’ve been reading about psychic development and experimenting with it for more than ten years.) But this program has really expanded my understanding of how our Spirit Guides and Higher selves communicate with us.

So, in this blog post, I will share several insights that I’ve heard repeatedly from everyone’s Spirit Guides over the last few weeks. I figured that if different Spirit Guides keep banging on about the same things to different people it’s worth repeating on my blog.

I hope this article gives you some useful ideas to enlist the help of your guides if you haven’t already. If you’re new to working with your Spirit Guides, you might also want to read this article which is an introduction: ‘What Are Spirit Guides & How to Work With Them.’

Insight #1: Your Spirit Guides are as good as unemployed if you don’t know what you want help with.

Your Spirit Guides can help you get from A to B, in alignment with your soul’s highest path and purpose — that’s their job.  On the other hand, it’s YOUR job to decide what you want from your life, set the intentions, and ask for help, guidance and impulses.

Spirit Guides keep saying to me that their help regularly goes unused because people often don’t know what they want in their life, or they’re not admitting it to themselves.

So they go around with hazy, wishy-washy, half-formed intentions and expect their guides to sort of help and intervene in some way. But how can your Spirit Guides intervene when you aren’t even clear on what you want help with?

No Spirit Guide on this program so far has told anyone what they want (or done anything they weren’t asked to do) even though I’m sure it would be easier for us if we were just told what we want out of life. The thing is, the Spirit Guides need you to work out that bit for yourself by trying things on for size, energetically. They may also help you with hints and shoves in the right direction, but ultimately you have to figure out experientially what you want.

So, it definitely seems that most Spirit Guides like clear intentions and even goals to work with. Tell them what you want. Write it down, write them a letter; ask for help.

You don’t need to know how you are going to have what you want. That’s not even your job. Your job, according to them, is to allow yourself to want what you really want in your heart and focus on the WHAT, not on the HOW.

They will help with the how if you put out the clear intention for the what. But if you don’t get clear on the what, the how won’t ever come about.

How you can get clear on what you want

One of my students was told to design his ideal life — including his career, relationships, and the details of his daily life. His guides told him to make a chart with three columns — things he’d like to discard and get rid of altogether about his current life, things he’d like to introduce and things he’d like to keep. I don’t know if this person is necessarily going to transform his life overnight (or maybe he will, who knows!), but I’m sure this exercise has given him some clarity on what he wants his Spirit Guides to help him transform, including what he’s moving away from and what he wants to move towards.

This exercise is a good one to use for getting clear on what you want, if you can come to it with an element of playfulness and fun. After all, if you change your mind, it’s no big deal.

Insight #2: You will be getting guidance – it’s just that some of your intuitive insights might be going unnoticed because they come as thoughts.

    Kind of unhelpful, huh?

One thing that Spirit Guides keep saying is that intuitive guidance, insights and impulses get missed often and so it helps to become more observant and perceptive when it comes to your own thoughts. Intuitive guidance can be really subtle. That’s fair enough. I mean, if it knocked us over the head really hard once every two minutes then that’d be no fun and we’d feel obliged to follow it. You’d be like a slave to your Spirit Guides.

    RIP, Greenie…

I had a moment this weekend when I had intuitive guidance that I didn’t realize was intuitive guidance. My mother accidentally killed her budgie and I could have prevented it but I didn’t recognize my intuition for what it was.

On Saturday afternoon, she still had two live budgies (Whitey and Greenie) and my mum was in the habit of feeding them dandelion leaves and eucalyptus leaves because apparently it makes them want to have baby budgies. (She likes breeding things for some reason…maybe because she grew up on a farm!) But on Saturday, she also threw in some other weed in for good measure and the male budgie ate some and within a few hours was staggering around on the floor of the cage, and then died.

Actually, she killed the last one that way too without realizing what it was that killed it.

Anyway, just as I saw her pull up the weed, the words formed in my head ‘you’re going to poison them!’ but I didn’t say it and it felt more like a joke than a warning. I failed to save the budgie, because I didn’t pay attention to my thought, which I thought was just a throwaway joke!

Insight #3: Intuitive feedback doesn’t just come from Spirit Guides, it’s in everything…

Peoples’ Spirit Guides are frequently pointing out to them that the whole world is just a big mirror that reflects your inner being back to you. We can see a whole lot just by reading what is occurring around us — the people we’re attracting, the way our body feels, the physical clutter or space around us and how we feel emotionally are all intuitive feedback.  Our desires are perhaps the most important intuitive feedback of all.

Look at the symbols which crop up in your life.

Basically, what is everything showing you? If you can approach life with an attitude of ‘everything happens for a reason and in perfect timing’, then you can live an intuitive life that flows and you can see intuitive feedback in everything.

Insight #4: Feel free to get it wrong once in a while

Many of the people on this program worry about ‘getting it wrong’ and imagining things.

How do we tell intuition from imagination?

In my experience, the most powerful indicator of real intuition is a ‘feeling’ — an energetic signature — that accompanies real intuition. It’s like a feeling of certainty and excitement that tells you that your insight or impulse is ‘spot on’. What if you don’t get that? The Spirit Guides tell me that in the beginning, while you’re learning, that energetic signature is not very strong. You develop it by getting things right and getting things wrong.

That’s right, you might need to get it wrong once in a while.

Some people’s Spirit Guides have even given them exercises to read people and asked the student to come up with wrong answers. They want the student to see what it feels like to be totally, utterly “off” and wrong. And then sometimes the student gets insightful stuff that accompanies the ‘wrong’ information and she can feel the difference clearly between information is totally, way “off” and information that’s actually true.

The guides told me that if you never get wrong information as a psychic, you’d never improve your level of accuracy.

Insight #5: Invite your Spirit Guides into your dream and ask specific questions

Contacting your Spirit Guides is easy in a dream because you are in a non-physical state while you’re in the astrals. And if you want to try receiving intuitive guidance through dreams, the Spirit Guides have given this tip to one student:

    • Write a question on a post it note and leave it next to your bed.
    • Ask your Spirit Guides to send you a dream that answers the question just before you wake up.
    • When you wake, make sure you explore the metaphors and messages within the dream by journaling about it soon after — this is one half of the process. The guides say that many messages can only be revealed upon reflection and journaling, or by discussing it with a friend and getting their interpretation on the dream.

The interesting thing with this exercise is that instead of answering your question, the Spirit Guides may instead give you information they think is more important than your question!

If you’re working on communicating with your Spirit Guides, I hope you found some of these tips useful.

  • Binaural Beats MP3 for Improving Extra-Sensory Perception – Review

Binaural Beats MP3 for Improving Extra-Sensory Perception – Review

Are you looking for an inexpensive product that will help you with your intuitive development? (& one that doesn’t involve much of a time commitment!?)

In this article I review one that I have found.

This product I am reviewing here is an audio product that I’ve used almost every day since I discovered it several years ago – a Binaural Beats mp3 for Extra-Sensory Perception.

Unlike most products and courses, this is a product that you only need listen to, in order to feel the effects on your intuitive abilities, as “too good to be true” as that may sound!

In this article, I’m, going to talk about how exactly binaural beats have amplified and improved my intuitive abilities in the last few months, so that you can decide whether they could help you too in your intuitive development.

    What are Binaural Beats?

Binaural Beats are rhythmic humming sounds that are created by playing two simple tones in the right and left ears. They are sold online as mp3’s.  They don’t just include humming.  In order to make them nicer to listen to, they also have water and nature sounds on them, plus some music.  And you have to listen to them using headphones.  These beats have been proven to alter brainwave frequencies, resulting in an altered state of consciousness.

This state of consciousness is called the alpha state.

    What is the Alpha State?

For certain states of consciousness and activities, certain brain waves occur.

Alpha is the brain wave that occurs during light sleep, dreams, meditation, daydreams and creative visualization.

It’s the state you need to be in, in order to receive intuitive information.

Being in the Alpha State is like being in a light trance – you notice what is going on around you, but your usually busy mind is extremely quiet. You become a clear conduit for intuitive information.  If you’ve had a reading with an intuitive on the phone or in person, they will have been in this alpha state while talking to you.

The thing is, we all have intuitive guidance available to us, when we can quiet our minds and put ourselves in the alpha state.  But most people don’t know they need to be in the alpha state to receive it.  And most people certainly don’t know how to put themselves in the alpha state at will. And so we may only get glimpses of intuition here and there, and our intuitive skills seem to work sometimes, but not at other times.

That is because we spend most of our waking time in a state that is not conducive to receiving intuitive information – the beta state.

Beta is the brain wave that occurs when you are fully conscious and awake.  You are concentrating and your brain is engaged and busy, busy, busy in this state.  You cannot receive intuitive information in this state, although you may have already tried and failed.

So, quite simply, unless you can quieten your mind and put yourself into the Alpha state, you don’t receive intuitive information when you want it.

I used to think that intuitives were born gifted, or special. But now I know that they are just people who have learned to put themselves into this altered state of consciousness at will and have done some experimenting with processes while in the alpha state.  I know that, because I am one of them.

    How They Work

This Extra-Sensory Perception mp3 guarantees to put you in a peaceful meditative state, sometimes within just 5 minutes of listening to it. And you can even let your mind wander while listening – you don’t need to try to quieten your mind, because the mp3 does it for you automatically.   And if you listen to it regularly, it trains your brainwaves to be able to enter that state quickly and easily in future.  It effectively fast-tracks your intuitive development.

Another way to fast-track your intuitive development is to learn to meditate.  If you can do it regularly and consistently, it will put you in the alpha state too.  That is why meditation is frequently recommended for intuitive development – and rightly so.

But the thing is, I never really got that far with meditation.  Meditation is one of my least favourite things to do. And I know a lot of people who feel the same about it.

I had real trouble quietening my thoughts for ten seconds, let alone a whole minute.  My mind would bang on about anything – how I was hungry, thirsty, too hot, too cold, wondered about what I would have for dinner, remarked on how loud the road works are. I am someone who needs to be moving.  I have a lot of nervous energy.  Meditation was like torture to me.  I did the absolute minimum meditation before readings – just enough to enter the alpha state.

I didn’t know how much my undisciplined mind was holding me back in my intuitive development until I started using this mp3, which I discovered by accident.

How I Stumbled Upon Binaural Beats

I first discovered them, via my friend and hypnotherapist Angela who sent me a hypnosis mp3 to help me sleep.  Firstly, she sent a hypnosis mp3 with her simply talking.  I listened to it a few times but it was just like my meditations – it was hard to get my mind to shut up and pay attention.  So, I wasn’t sure I was being hypnotized.

Then a few days later, she sent me an updated version of the hypnosis – an mp3 to help me to sleep with some binaural beats on it.  When I listened to this mp3, I noticed the difference straight away.  It was like it was speaking to a whole different part of me – that was present, and listening.  I was hypnotized. While listening, I realized that I was in the same state that I’m in when I do readings, and it had happened within a matter of minutes. And I didn’t have to meditate to get there – hurray!

So, I was not surprised when I found out that binaural beats don’t just help you to sleep, they are also used to awaken and improve extra-sensory perception and intuition.  I ordered one of these specialized ESP MP3’s from the Unexplainable Store to check it out.

I used it for two weeks, once a day for about thirty minutes and here are some of my experiences while listening to it:

    • My mind’s eye (the centre of clairvoyance) began to run riot while I was listening
    • I spontaneously had vivid meetings with my Spirit Guides – without even trying.
    • My chakras opened up spontaneously and I felt tingling in various places on my body.
    • Any stressful thoughts and anxiety drifted away and my thoughts, in general, were silenced.
    • While listening, I spontaneously received a variety of intuitive insights and epiphanies about my life.

Those are just a few of the general experiences I have had. This sort of thing happens every time I listen.  It’s not hit and miss. My students report similar results and I have read that these experiences are par for the course while listening to the mp3. I like inducing experiences like these on a daily basis – It makes me feel more connected to my guides and spirit.

I also believe that my readings have improved as a result of listening to binaural beats.  Whereas before it would take me a long time to calm my mind before a reading, now I can do it quickly and it’s not difficult for me anymore.

Why listening to Binaural Beats is more fun than meditation

The thing I love about listening to this mp3 is that it is extremely pleasurable – the first time I used them, I put an update on my Facebook account saying that it was ‘better than sex!’

That might sound strange but it is very enjoyable.  It’s so far from the chore that meditation was.

    Other Uses for Binaural Beats

I mentioned binaural beats on my blog a few weeks ago, and since then, several readers and clients have told me that they also use binaural beats for anxiety and stress relief (I can vouch for that as I always emerge from a binaural beats session feeling lighter and in a better mood).  I also know people who use them to help them have lucid dreams.

Are Binaural Beats Right for You?

So, in summary, the mp3 may be right for you if:

    • You are interested in awakening your intuitive abilities.
    • You want to strengthen your already existing intuitive abilities.
    • You want to learn to meditate but find it hard to relax or quieten your mind.
    • You do intuitive readings but find that your mind can sometimes get in the way of connecting with people’s Spirit Guides.

Please note that this ESP binaural beats MP3 is not right for you if you are looking for a quick magic bullet for awakening intuitive abilities, permanently. Nothing will do that for you.  You will have to do other work too.

The ESP binaural beats mp3 will definitely train you to be in the alpha state, which is an essential component of receiving intuitive information.  But remember that that is one essential part of awakening intuitive ability – it’s not the whole process.

Effective intuitive development = the alpha state + finding the right process for you, and practising it too.

The mp3 that I have used and recommend was from the Unexplainable Store. It cost $14 (US dollars) and they have a 60-day money-back guarantee in case you don’t like it. These recordings are also better sound quality than many of the other binaural beats that I know of which are sold online.

You can order the MP3 that I tried here – Extra-Sensory Perception Binaural Beats MP3.

If you buy the mp3, I hope you enjoy listening to them like I have.

PS. The name of the mp3 I bought (& recommend) from the Unexplainable Store is the “ESP/ Psychic Binaural Beat” mp3.

  • How to Do Automatic Writing

    How to Do Automatic Writing

Maybe you’ve heard of automatic writing and you want to know how to do it. In this article, I will show you how. Automatic writing is a great, non-scary way of channeling your Higher Self or Spirit Guides through writing.  It allows you to ‘download’ their perspective subconsciously using claircognizance and transcribe it as it comes in.

    How To Do Automatic Writing

The basic recipe for automatic writing is that you open a word document (or get a pen and paper if you wish) and you type/write a question. But remember that you are not consulting your thinking mind. In order to do it successfully, you have to put your mind to one side.

In many ways, doing automatic writing is like being ‘in the flow’ while writing. If you’re a writer then you will know what I’m talking about when I say ‘in the flow’.  It’s the state when you have many creative ideas and they all seem to fit together quite nicely, and you can transcribe them coherently and quickly – and often it feels quite exciting. Yet at the same time, your conscious mind is not labouring away – it feels effortless and light. You can also be in that state when you do automatic writing – not so much in a creative writing sense, but in an intuitive sense.

    An Example of Automatic Writing

Perhaps you know the book Conversations with God (which is incidentally one of my favourite books).  It is supposedly a channelled work, although I think the author Neale Donald Walsh actually channeled his Higher Self.  If you’ve read that book and you were surprised at how insightful and progressive some of it was, know that your Higher Self has got some equally interesting things to say, if not about our world, then definitely about your life and where you’re going.  There are loads more channelled books available too.  Perhaps you can recommend some of your favourites in the comments.

    Why do Automatic Writing?

Here are some examples of when you could do it…

    • When you have a fear of spirits and are too scared to contact your guides in any other way
    • When you are not yet very clairvoyant or clairaudient (i.e. you can’t hear or see your Spirit Guides), so you want to try another way.  Automatic writing is actually very easy if you manage to put your mind to one side, and I know lots of people who have trouble hearing their inner voice who have had success with automatic writing.
    • When you want to get your Higher Self’s perspective on something that is bothering you – (I used to do automatic writing when I was upset about something and needed to raise my vibration. I’d tune into my higher self and start writing.  She always had some very comforting and insightful things to say about any situation.)
    • Or just when you have some questions that you want a spiritual perspective on.

Some tips for putting the mind aside and doing automatic writing successfully

    1. Start each automatic writing session with ‘My Spirit Guides or My Higher Self’ or ‘My Angels’ as the first line

You can call on all of them if you want.  Be clear about whose input you want, as it sets an intention to hear from that being.

If you want, you can also see your guides as parts or extensions of you that you can access whenever you want, like your subconscious.  (The more you see these entities as beings outside of you, the more channeling them may seem quite elusive.)

If you want, you can also raise your vibration and connect with your guides/Higher Self before you begin typing.  For example, you can do some deep breathing, or visualize going up to a room to meet with your guides, so that you can get their input for the duration of the session.

    2. Just start writing and don’t worry about what you’re writing at first

For example, type your question and just see what comes out when you put your fingers on the keys.  Just start writing about anything that comes into your head, just as you would if you were journaling about your day.  The trick with this is to get used to writing (if you are not already).  The more you’re used to writing, the easier it is to get into that ‘flow’ state when writing, where you can channel your inner sage.

    3. Setting a timer while you do it can be helpful

This is so that you don’t have time to think about what you’re writing.  That works particularly well when you have a set of questions you want to ask your guides.  I do sometimes set a timer when I’m writing a blog article, especially when I’m being too much of a perfectionist or my mind is being very chatty and not saying very helpful things.  Setting myself a time limit focuses my mind on the task at hand, and for automatic writing it can help to focus your energy.

    4. Create the right conditions so that you can lose your inhibitions about what you’re writing

Sometimes while I’ve been doing automatic writing, my mind was judging the information I’m getting and wondering what people around me would think if they were reading it.  If you do automatic writing on a shared or borrowed computer, you might feel inhibited.  So, make sure you do it while alone and make sure you have privacy with your computer – one reason why I prefer a word document over pen and paper.

    5. Don’t allow your mind to interpret the information while you’re getting it

You can interpret it afterwards.  But know that it is totally normal for the mind to butt in and judge information in the process.  When I started doing readings, occasionally I would be getting information and my mind butts in and freaks out: “what if this is all wrong” – especially if it’s highly specific information.  However, experience has taught me that the mind’s fears are unwarranted in those situations.  The mind can only react according to its previous experiences and its task of keeping you safe and secure.  Intuition sees a lot further than that.  So, know the role of the mind, acknowledge it for doing its job but don’t give it too much attention while you’re doing this exercise.

How do you know if you’re really channeling spiritual guidance?

In my experience, channeled information tends to be high vibrational in nature.  It will often comfort you, provide clarity or will raise your mood in some way.  If it feels negative or feels heavy, you’re probably not channeling a source that you want to tap into or you may just be channeling your own emotional body, if you are not feeling very good.

What you channel via writing will usually not sound like your voice. Mine speaks with authority and sounds completely different from the voice that I ‘think’ in.

Another feature of intuitive guidance is that it tends to be very clear, usually feels light and is often simply expressed.  Having said that, I have read automatic writing that is poetic and metaphorical in nature.  But don’t be hung up on how yours should sound or be.  If you do it often enough, you will soon get a sense for what your automatic writing ‘feels’ like.

Please leave a comment if you want to recommend any more channeled works or if you have something to say about your experiences with automatic writing.

  • What Is The Energy Field? & How to Read It

What Is The Energy Field? & How to Read It

The human energy field (also called the aura) is an invisible field that surrounds us. It encompasses the meridians, major and minor chakras and the energy bodies, including the mental, emotional, etheric and physical bodies.

If you have studied in the field of Energy Medicine or hands-on healing, you are probably already familiar with the meridians or the energy bodies. However, it is the chakras within the the human energy field that concern us in this article.

In his book Subtle Energy: Awakening the Unseen Forces in Our Lives, William Collinge writes:

“Major centres of both electromagnetic activity and vital energy are recognised in indigenous cultures the world over. In the Huna tradition of Hawaii, they are called auw centres; and in the Kabbalah, they are the ‘tree of life’ centres. In the Taoist Chinese tradition, the term is dantien; and in yogic theory they are called ‘chakras’.”

The Chakras are ‘stations’ or centres within the human energy field which connect us to certain types of Divine energy. The word chakra means ‘spinning wheel’ in Sanskrit.

A psychic can read what’s encoded in your chakras and tell you information about your characteristics, past, soul urges, soul gifts, challenges, struggles and soul lessons.

The 7 Major Chakras of the energy body

    sacred chakra

Root chakra (red) – survival, safety, home, money, family, connection to reality. (Located at the perineum.)

Sacral chakra (orange) – Sexuality, emotions, sensuality, vitality, creativity. (Located just below the belly button.)

Solar plexus chakra (yellow) –  Personal power, self-control, getting things done. (Located just above the belly button.)

    Heart chakra (green)  – Self-love, self-care, self-acceptance, self-worth. (Located over the breastbone.)

Throat chakra (blue) – Self-expression and communication; speaking and listening. (Located at the throat.)

Third eye chakra (lilac) – Intuition and truth. (Located between the eyebrows.)

Crown chakra (white) – Connection to Spirit and your Higher Self. (Located just above the head.)

To read someone’s energy body, you can look at:

    The Size of the Chakras

For example, if the throat chakra is tiny and shut down, that’s a good sign that you’re not expressing yourself fully for some reason, as the throat chakra is the energy centre of communication and self-expression.  If your root chakra was overactive, you would have too much of a preoccupation with the material world, because that’s the chakra that is associated with the material world – survival and security.  You can tell a great deal about how balanced someone is in their life from the size of their chakras.

    The Health of the Chakras

Some people’s chakras are leaking energy, which means that they have a major weakness in a certain area of life, such as self-expression (the throat chakra) or self-love (the heart chakra).  For example, if I see that someone is leaking energy at the heart chakra, I know that that person is in the habit of criticizing themselves and questioning their self-worth because the heart chakra is the chakra of your loving relationships – including your relationship with yourself.  Sometimes the overall health of the energy body and chakras can be weak, which is usually indicative of a physical or mental disease because remember that the energetic reflects the physical.  Sometimes there can be a weakness or damage at one particular chakra and that can manifest into the physical as disease.

The Info banks within the Chakras

Within each chakra, there are many info banks (almost like minor chakras within the major chakras) that one can research.  So for example, among the info banks of the root chakra there are: connection to reality, sense of safety, routine, nutrition, to name a few. Within the throat chakra, you may find willingness to speak one’s mind, presence while speaking or capacity to hear what others are saying. All the different info banks within the major theme of self-expression are encoded there as aspects within the throat chakra.

How to Tune into the Energy Body

Most psychics can tune into someone’s energy body remotely (i.e. you do not have to be with someone in person to tune into their energy body.) As long as you have a picture of someone, or a voice on the phone, it works fine.

How you will tune into the energy body will depend on your skill set. If you’re clairvoyant, you can look at a photo of someone and see their chakras, with any damage and sizes.  I’m not especially clairvoyant so I don’t always see chakras. If you’re claircognizant, you can know which chakras are out of balance just by listening to someone.  But usually, you need to study the chakras first so that you have a frame of reference for the information to come through.

If you’re empathic, you can put yourself in the person’s shoes and energy body to find out where the imbalances are.

How I tune into the energy body empathically

I usually need a picture of someone to tune into their energy body (or a voice on the phone). I do my usual tuning in process (which you can learn through my Intuitive Awakening Course). Then for this particular exercise, I close my eyes, and visualize that person in front of me.  I imagine holding their hands.  I visualize my crown chakra becoming like a dome of light and covering us both in white light.  This allows me to empathically merge with the person’s energy.  Then I imagine a purple cloth, like a tent covering us.

Then I get all sorts of feelings and sensations in my body as to what is going on with that person.  I might get how they’re feeling at the moment and their established thought patterns and patterns of emotion – negative and positive.  I can feel any imbalances.  Sometimes I get a pain in my body and then I find that the person has something physically wrong in that area.

While I’m doing this, I might get some images too which show me a metaphor for what is going on in the person’s life.

This is a really interesting and useful exercise to do.  You can do it to check out someone you don’t even know if you really needed to know what that person was like. I have even done this with photos of criminals, which was certainly interesting. It was like taking a bath in low-vibrational energy. For one of the people I tuned into, it was like there was a wall or facade with nothing there behind it – no emotion or data to read, and it felt quite scary. If everyone managed to remember their capacity for extra-sensory perception, everyone would know who everyone else is just by checking out their energy. How helpful would that be? That is certainly one reason in favour of developing intuitive abilities!

    Listen to your Chakras Exercise

You can also tune into your own chakras using a combination of clairsentience and clairaudience. Here’s how to do it:

Lie down or sit comfortably. Open each chakra, beginning with the root chakra. Visualize each chakra as a coloured wheel spinning horizontally and using your intention and will, bring the energy outwards, about one metre outside of your body.

Then ask, how do I feel in this energy centre? Ask each chakra one by one. See if you get any sensations in your body, messages or emotions that are connected to the chakras.  Above all, observe your emotions while you focus on each chakra and see if the emotions are connected to any situations in particular.

    The Chakra Meditation Kit

For those who are interested in rebalancing their energy system, I offer a Chakra Meditation kit which teaches you to read, heal, open, clear out and rebalance your entire chakra system. It’s a do–it–yourself guide that includes an audio meditation, eBook and a discount for the Intuitive Awakening Course.

  • When Am I Going to Die?

When Am I Going to Die?

(I apologize in advance for the morbidness of this post!)

Last night I took a silly quiz online. It was ‘when are you going to die?’

The quiz asked questions such as ‘Do you smoke?’, ‘Do you exercise?’ and I answered all the right answers as my lifestyle is fairly healthy. But then when I wanted to see the verdict, I had to put in my mobile phone number and I didn’t want to do that, so sadly I didn’t get to find out when I was going to die 🙂

Anyway, as I was getting ready for bed, I felt happy because I could sense a rich night of dreaming ahead of me. I love dreaming. It’s one of the ways I commune with Spirit. I see my Spirit Guides in dreams and they send me messages for my life, through intense, vivid experiences. In terms of lessons and messages, they’re the best because they’re experiential, like life. (As an aside, I highly recommend that if you like dreaming and want more connection with Spirit in a non-scary way, ask your Spirit Guides to send you messages in your dreams…)

I woke up this morning after five hours of sleep, shocked to the core at the lesson I had been taught in this dream. It felt like the most powerful lesson they’ve sent me yet.

In the dream, I was in some sort of centre, in a grand, large building made of marble, that reminded me of Dubai airport (if you’ve ever passed through there). It was almost like a concentration camp but felt more compassionate than that. The place was fenced (like a high-security prison.) I couldn’t remember how I got there. I was being herded around with a load of other prisoners. As we were approaching some turnstiles, I realized what was happening a little bit further along the queue. People were being shot. You went through a door and there was a firing squad there.

I left the queue and went further back to try to negotiate with the guards, to see if there was some way I could escape this. I was shocked at how some people seemed to be ready for death and approaching their fate without any emotion on their faces.

Then in the next part of the dream, I had escaped the firing squad temporarily. I had been granted a little time to process what was happening and then when I was ready, it was time. But I kept finding closets to hide in and there was a man who kept finding me no matter where I hid (he looked like the older guy out of Buffy the Vampire Slayer). He explained that I couldn’t escape. He was like the grim reaper.

Then I was hanging out with some of the other prisoners. I talked to one lady and I said to her that it didn’t matter that I was going to die. In my opinion, I said “Life is a dream and you wake up when you want to. They can’t make me wake up.” Abraham-Hicks, I told her, says that life continues just the same, except you don’t have a body.” “I’ll be fine”, I said.

Then she gently explained to me that actually, this was it. “They can make you wake up.” Then it hit me. I remember looking at myself, my body and thinking ‘I don’t want to leave.’

I’m really used to my body and the Earth avatar that is Anna.

I remember thinking, “Wow. So this is really going to be over.” I thought of my mum and how upset she’d be when she finds out.

I thought of the work I do and how it was unfinished. I heard myself say the words, “but I’m only 28, I can’t die now.” (I’m currently 25).

When I woke up, I was shocked. I tend to take life for granted in lots of ways and plan for the long-term.

This dream has lit a fire under my ass. Yes, it was only a dream, but I felt experientially what it feels like to be on death row. My affairs weren’t in order. I hadn’t finished my work.

Yesterday I was feeling lazy and unmotivated. Sometimes I can get into an apathetic state where I feel like there’s no point to what I do or to life in general. It tends not to hang around but it’s annoying nonetheless because I just feel unmotivated and that’s not my natural state.

But all of a sudden, the inhibitions and ‘yes-but-what-ifs’ I had been having around my work, sharing what I do on my blog, and in relationships seemed so stupid and a waste of time – literally.

This was a lesson for me, so you might not be able to feel this like I did and I may not be able to communicate the essence of the message vividly enough for you, unless it’s a message for you too.

What if your life was ending in three years time? What would you approach differently than you do now?

If I died in three years, I can feel intuitively I’d still have work to do, one more important relationship to have (at least), I also have a few people to thank properly for their help in the past.

Your life has a deadline. Only you don’t know when it is. So you have to live with that in mind to some extent. Anything other than that would be burying your head in the sand.

People always say, live like each day is your last. But I’ve always thought, how practical is that? No-one does that.

But what if you only had three years left?

    What would you do?

What are you taking for granted right now?

Do you realize that it could all end in a few years, days, hours, time?

You won’t have the chance again to find your purpose for being here and express that which you KNOW you came here to do.

You won’t have the chance to pursue that relationship opportunity that you might be thinking of passing up because you’re too scared to tell him/her how you feel.

You won’t feel the rain on your face after you’re dead. You won’t be able to eat all the foods you enjoy, and enjoy all the aspects of physical experience that you get to have here or express love towards your loved ones (at least not in the same way).

    • Where are you wasting time?
    • Where are you not living fully?
    • What are you refusing to create?
    • Can you commit to creating that? Can you write down an intention to do it?

If this isn’t saying anything to you, try this visualization:

Imagine yourself just recently crossed over. You are having your life review. As an example (not an intention!) it’s three years into the future, and you’ve passed through the pearly gates. You’ve had the tea party with your deceased loved ones, childhood pets, and Spirit Guides. You wish there were more people you knew in life to greet you here but you watch your loved ones on Earth mourning your loss and you feel the love they had for you.

Now you’re sitting around the round table in the afterlife. Your Guides show you the film of your life. You feel the high points with pride. You see the low points with compassion for yourself. You suddenly see, with wonder, the divine thread that ran through all your experiences, even though you couldn’t see it at the time.

The loving Guides say to you:

‘Beautiful soul. You didn’t realize you were going to die so soon.”

Once again, you feel the sense of shock you felt just before your death, and the disappointment that life was over.

“We sent messages that life was coming to a close but you didn’t see them.”

“Is there something you wish you had done?” What would you tell those left behind?

Fill the gap. What are you saying? What are you not finishing/starting/doing?
