  • Intuitive Experiment #36 – Have a Go at Reading this Person

Intuitive Experiment #36 – Have a Go at Reading this Person

Just for this week, I am bringing back an exercise that I used to do between 2010 and 2019 – the Intuitive Experiments!

The purpose of this experiment is threefold:

    • Get some awareness of how your intuitive insights may come to you (if you’re a beginner)
    • Practise using your intuitive skills, if you’re not a beginner
    • & have some fun doing it!

If you’ve never done anything like this before – why not have a go? You might surprise yourself.

Here is the person I chose for this experiment.

Here is how to read her:

In order to tune in, I recommend getting into the alpha state first of all through meditating for several minutes. Sit or lie down and focus on your breath as it goes in and out of your nose.

Once you are in a relaxed state, say the name of an Archangel (e.g. Archangel Michael) out loud, take a few deep breaths, and look at the photo, allowing your eyes to lose their focus. What impressions do you get? What do you feel?

(The claircognizants among you may have received an impression in the moment you looked at the photo, before you had time to think – so pay attention to that, too.)

Character and personality is usually the easiest thing to read in an aura, so the easiest thing to do is to get an impression about what type of woman she is.

Look into her eyes briefly and fill in the gap:

‘She looks like a ______________ woman.’

Which adjective comes to mind straight away? Let one come through without thinking about it. If nothing comes through, take three deep breaths and look into her eyes and try again. If she reminds you of someone, try to work out why. It is usually rather revealing when your mind draws a parallel between two people.

This is an exercise you will find useful if you are claircognizant.

If you are clairsentient you may get a feeling about her instead.

Here are some other questions to ask yourself upon tuning in:

(Take three deep breaths before you ask each question.)

    1. Do you trust her?

    2. Does she remind you of anyone you know or anyone you’ve met in the past? – if so, which characteristics do the two people share?

Remember that everyone is multi-faceted, so don’t be surprised if you receive seemingly contradictory information.

If you get an impression that you don’t understand, you will want to do further questioning around it by asking ‘What does this mean?’ Often, people will get an impression, not know what it means and leave it at that. But sometimes you have to ask follow up questions about your initial impressions in order to clarify them.

Some tips for getting intuitive insights about other people:

    • Get into the alpha state and clear your mind as much as possible before you tune into another person – again, the best way to do this is to meditate.
    • When you look at a photo, you often instantly form a judgment about someone’s character.  Often this is unconscious and subtle.  They happen very fast too – so fast that they happen before you have thoughts.  They are basically the unconscious judgments and assumptions that we habitually put to one side. Make them conscious if you can.
    • Don’t worry if you do not get concrete facts – some people are good at getting information about character and some people are good at picking up information about events.
    • This is an old photo, but to eliminate this sense of distance you could imagine yourself in a room with this person – talking to them.  How do you feel about them?
    • Remember to ask specific questions and wait for an impression or answer to come to you.

I will reveal who the woman in the photo is in five days time.

Please leave a comment letting me know your impressions. In the article that is coming up I will post some feedback based on your collective findings. I am looking forward to reading what you get!

  • God, What Is It Like to Die?

God, What Is It Like to Die?

Around 12 years ago, I had probably the most impactful spiritual experience of my life.

On a summer’s afternoon, I lay down on my bed at home to have a nap. My cat napped with me.

I went to sleep and dreamt that I asked God what it was like to die. It initially seemed like a dream, however I quickly became aware that something was happening to me that was beyond a dream because my consciousness or soul immediately came out of my body through the heart chakra, and I felt incredible joy, peace and bliss.

There was an invisible pathway above me that I knew I had to follow. I travelled straight upwards with an immense sense of joy and freedom.

I could see my body lying on my bed below and I could see my cat asleep on the bed, too. Leaving my body behind on the bed was like realising that I had been wearing a heavy fur coat in the summer heat and I was glad to be out of it, and felt so free. I suddenly no longer cared about my earthly life or my body at all.

I knew exactly where to go. I was going higher and higher on this invisible pathway until I was told I couldn’t go any further and to go back. I realised that if I went further I would die, and that wasn’t the plan. I thought about what I was here to achieve in this life and knew I needed to go back.

    Then I woke up.

I can’t say this was a Near Death Experience (NDE) in the conventional sense, because I was not close to death in any material way, but it impacted me deeply and I knew it was not just a dream.

Through this experience, I got a taste of what it was like to be in spirit, and without a body.

I was left with the sense that death was not something to be feared and even felt pretty amazing.

It also gave me a reference point that I came back to many times over the years to remind me (whenever I felt bogged down by life) that life is bigger than the minutiae and hassles that we all deal with, and that almost all of the details of life will seem totally irrelevant once you have left the body. The details that will seem most relevant once you’ve left the body include how you treated others in your life.

I wanted to share a YouTube channel that I recently discovered with excellent Near Death Experience stories on it. The videos are very high quality and the stories well told.

Below I have linked some of my favourite ones.

The thing I love about watching or listening to accounts of Near Death Experiences such as these is that I can return to that wider perspective I got a taste of when I had my own experience (maybe it was astral projection?) And I can remember what matters when I lose sight of it.

  • How to Build (and Turbo-Charge) A Business Using the Law of Assumption

How to Build (and Turbo-Charge) A Business Using the Law of Assumption

The Law of Assumption is a philosophy popularised by the New Thought author Neville Goddard. According to the Law of Assumption (LOA), whatever you assume to be true is what will manifest in your life. The LOA also teaches that your imagination is a Divine, creative power which you can use to mould your world.

I only discovered the Law of Assumption 2 years ago and by then I’d already been running a successful business for 14 years. Because my business existed prior to me discovering the Law, I have mainly used the Law of Assumption to focus on manifesting other desires besides business success.

But if I were in a different position, and starting a new business or in the early stages of owning one, I would 100% use the Law of Assumption to start a business and turbo-charge my business results.

And below I provide an outline of how I recommend you use the Law of Assumption in this way.

    1. First of all, get clear on the energy and desire behind starting or running your business

People start businesses for all kinds of reasons. Most of them have something to do with the owner’s income and lifestyle goals, but some of them are also about giving back and fulfilling one’s purpose.

Which of these energies do you want more of in your life through your business?

    • Freedom
    • Abundance
    • Security
    • Contribution/ enjoyment of helping others
    • Joy
    • Expansion
    • Wholeness (wanting to express your whole self in the world)
    • Stability
    • Power/empowerment

For example, maybe you want the freedom to take a long lunch break and go out for lunch during the day. Maybe you have been laid off and you want to build a secure income stream that can’t be taken away from you so easily, so you perceive business to be about your security and stability. Maybe your dream is to help others in a particular way related to your expertise, and doing so brings you a lot of joy and a sense of contribution.

Get really clear on what the energies or desires are behind your intention (and there may be multiple energies that you want to bring into your life through your business.)

    2. Next, come up with a visual or multiple visuals which encapsulate your desire

If your desire is freedom and you want to be free of the rat race, visualise yourself in a scene that suggests you are working remotely in your own business and you are making so much money that you can work part time or travel. See yourself working remotely while travelling the world, if that is your desire.

If your desire is to have more power over your life because you feel trapped in an unhappy work situation, see yourself giving your boss notice that you are leaving your job and hear yourself telling a co-worker that you are so happy that your business has really taken off.

Make the visual short and sweet — no more than 10 seconds.

A couple of times per day, get into a meditative state by observing your breath for several minutes, then loop your scene over and over several times.

This usually takes a minute or so to do. You can extend the process by tuning into the desire behind the scene (e.g. freedom) and feeling that energy. Feel how good it feels to be free! Give freedom a colour and see it as an energy that is above your head. See that colour come into your body and narrate it: for example, “freedom is coming into my head, into my face, into my neck, into my shoulders…etc.” And feel that energy talking to all your cells and communicating the message of freedom. Breathe it in and get high on it.

Do this daily, ideally more than once per day.

Let’s have a look at another important step in manifesting a successful business.

    3. Limiting Beliefs: Why do you think you can’t have what you want?

Many of us have limiting beliefs around our desires, so it can be helpful to sit down with pen and paper and ask yourself: are there any reasons why you don’t think you can have what you want in business?

    Write down whatever comes up.

When you have done this, craft affirmations which counter your beliefs.

For example, if you are starting a spiritual business and you’ve uncovered that you’re worried about being judged by family members and friends who don’t know about your spiritual beliefs, you could affirm: “everyone respects my beliefs and admires my business” or “I don’t need the approval of anyone in my life.”

If you’re worried that getting what you want means working insane hours, affirm: “I work part time and make really great money” or “I am so lucky I can work part time and be successful.”

If you want to market your business through writing or videos, but you feel you aren’t good at these things, use affirmations to counter those beliefs. For example “I’m a great writer” or “I’m so good on camera”.

Here are some common business limiting beliefs — which ones do you believe in? Write an affirmation that is the opposite of any you resonate with.

    • Having a successful business means sacrifice
    • I have to work really hard to make this business work
    • The economy impacts on my business and it’s out of my control
    • I’m too old to start a business
    • It’s impossible to earn money doing what I enjoy
    • There’s too much competition
    • My kids take up too much of my time and that will stop me from succeeding
    • Starting a business is too risky
    • So-and-so is already doing it so well — there’s no room for me in this field
    • I haven’t got the money to start a business
    • It has to be perfect
    • Most businesses fail
    • I have to be liked by everyone and appeal to everyone
    • I haven’t got enough experience

    4. Next, tune into the ‘future you’ who has already achieved this business goal, and get familiar with them

This is a process I described in this blog post: How to Manifest Anything (I recommend that you go read that.)

Ask your alternate self who is experiencing business success certain questions to become acquainted with their energy and how they are going about their life (the questions can be found in the article linked to above.)

Your alternate self who has a successful business already exists in another reality according to Neville Goddard’s teachings. Creating your desire isn’t actually about creating it out of thin air, but about selecting it out of all the potential realities and tuning in to it and into that alternate self on a daily basis, through the visualisation exercise I detailed above.

Once you get acquainted with that alternate self, I also recommend asking him/her to come into your body periodically throughout the day and see their energy field as superimposed on yours.

    5. Check your self-concept

Your self-concept means your beliefs and ideas about who you are.

Self-concept is something that is very important when you are using the Law of Assumption. The Law of Assumption teacher Neville Goddard said that the whole world reflects your self concept back to you and that if you want to change your external world and the results you’re getting in your life, you have to change yourself.

Manifesting stuff is easy, but keeping your manifestation is harder. And this is connected to your self-concept.

I’ll give you an example. Some studies say that between 30 and 70% of lottery winners lose all their money after they win.

The reason for this is their self-concept.

You don’t need a high self-concept to manifest what you want, but you do need a high self-concept in order to keep what you manifest. A high self-concept means that you feel like you are the kind of person for whom that good outcome is natural. A high self-concept also means you feel worthy and good about yourself.

So, basically what I am saying is that in order to manifest a successful business and sustain that success, you need to feel you deserve it.

You need to feel you naturally are someone who is a successful business person.

If you want to be wealthy through your business, you need to identify as someone for whom wealth is natural and easy to come by.

You can read my article on self-concept and how to improve it here.

“All the people in the world are only yourself pushed out. No one has the power to hold you back or promote you, for you are self-promoted or self-restricted.” – Neville Goddard

    6. Revision

If you have had any events happen in your past that you feel are holding you back in being successful in business or underpinning the limited beliefs you identified in point 3 above, I recommend revising those.

I’m referring to events such as:

    • Business failures
    • Being fired
    • Being laid off
    • Bankruptcies
    • Losing a lot of money
    • Making a mistake in the course of business or work that had dreadful consequences

You can find an article I wrote on the benefits of revision here. Neville Goddard said that revision is the most powerful manifesting technique of all and that if you take one thing from his work, it should be revision. So I highly recommend using revision if something from your past gave you a limiting belief about money, work or business. (You will know you need to revise a past event if the memory of it pops into your mind regularly out of nowhere.)

    7. Use business affirmations

Finally, here are some business building affirmations which you may find helpful to use.

(I wrote about how to use affirmations here and I recommend reading this article if you haven’t used affirmations before.)

I make $___ every month working ___ amount of hours

I get so much positive feedback about my services/products

    I believe in myself

I believe in my amazing talents

    I believe in my business

    My business is booming

I am so smart and talented in business and work

I’m everyone’s favourite ________ (insert your role here)

I keep and find the best employees

    I’m great at marketing

    I love what I do

    I’m overflowing with ideas

I am a goal achieving machine

I provide courses and services that people truly need

My business is getting larger each and every day

My business is thriving in every way possible

My business allows me to create an extraordinary life

    I am building wealth

My services or products always exceed expectations

  • My Past Life As a Civil War Soldier – By Robert Serocki Jr.

My Past Life As a Civil War Soldier – By Robert Serocki Jr.

In this guest article, we hear from Robert Serocki Jr, an author, veteran and PTSD survivor. Robert is a student and previous client who has had some interesting experiences researching his past lives. I know many of my readers love to read about past lives and so asked him to put together an article with details of what it was like to find out that he was an American civil war soldier in a past life.

    Over to Robert…

My Past Life As a Civil War Soldier

A few years ago, I began writing my fourth book (in a series I have written about healing PTSD and becoming spiritually ‘whole’ and integrated.)

A big portion of the book was about three dreams that I had over and over again, as a child. In one of the dreams, I was in the American Revolutionary War, in the second I was in the American Civil War, and in the third I was in Vietnam. In all three dreams, I was mortally wounded in the chest, and I saw myself die each time.

Since I was a little boy, I had always thought that these were past life dreams, and when I was young, I would always pretend I was in big battles and that I got shot in the chest.

These dreams stopped when I turned 18 in this lifetime and joined the United States Marine Corps. This time, I lived (obviously). I also got out of the Marines after my first enlistment. (This was significant because in all three of my past life dreams, I had re-enlisted in the military and each time it ended in me dying.)

I believe that the purpose of being in the Marines and going to war again in this life was that I needed a different experience this time around. I needed to move past staying in the military and dying in combat. (I have always felt that I had baggage to clean up from past lives.)

OK, so back to my story as a soldier in this life…

Altogether, I spent four years in the United States Marine Corps, and I fought in combat on the front lines of the first Gulf War in 1990/91.

Because of my experiences, I developed PTSD. And because of PTSD I lost everything. I lost a job of 20 years. I lost my ability to walk and was in a wheelchair. I also lost my home and ended up on the street. I ended up in the hospital twice and they pumped me up on so much medication that during this time, I existed as a drugged-up zombie. I spent nearly 20 years doing that. I have since overcome it all (and my books go into how I overcame those experience in more detail.)

    The Civil War Soldier

One day before I began writing my fourth book, a friend of mine sent me a text message with a picture in it. He told me to look at it and let him know what I thought — it was a picture of a Civil War soldier and it showed his head and shoulders.

Upon looking at it, I realized that it looked exactly like me. I texted my friend back and told him what I thought. He said, “Yes, that is exactly what I thought too. That is why I had to send it to you.”

At that point, I decided that I had to find out who this man was. Maybe he was a past relative? Or maybe it was me in a past life?

    Finding out who he was

To find out the identity of the soldier, I contacted the National Archives, the Library of Congress, and a bunch of different museums back east and in the south. One of them was in Georgia. I had left a message on an answering machine there.

The next day a woman called me back. I told her I was writing a book. However, I did not want to tell her I was writing a book about my dreams and past lives because I did not want her to think I was crazy. I kept being vague about it and she kept saying, “I get it.” So, I finally decided to spill my guts and tell her. But before I could say anything, she said, “God told me to tell you to keep interpreting your dreams, keep doing what you are doing and everything will work out fine.” I just about dropped the phone! She then proceeded to tell me that I left a message on a general message machine that numerous people check throughout the day. She said she just happened to walk by and see it blinking. She told me that God gives her messages to give to people who need it and then somehow God gets her in contact with those people. She said that was her purpose. I thanked her profusely and hung up.

A day later, the Library of Congress contacted me and told me that the picture was supposedly taken at Harpers Ferry in 1862.

The picture on the left is me and on the right is the Civil War soldier in 1862.

This led to a large amount of laborious research that caused many headaches for me. (As a retired archaeologist, I knew that a lot of Civil War records, and historical records in general, were incorrectly filed, labeled, etc.)

It took a couple years of research before I came up with anything meaningful and during that period, I had given up on finding out who he was many times.

One day, after I became re-inspired to find out his identity, I found a free online book from 1896 that had been digitized about a unit in the Civil War. The book mentioned that one of the battles they fought in was in fact at Harpers Ferry and it contained lists of all the units and the men who were in those units.

At this point, I became frustrated again because I couldn’t get anywhere with my research. I was running into one roadblock after another. I got so frustrated that at night when I was saying my prayers, I asked God for help in finding out who this person was.

    The Apparition

Upon awakening in the morning, I very distinctly heard this voice say to me, “Company I.” Once I got out of bed, I pulled out that book from 1896. I began looking through the pages and I found a Company I listed in the battalion roster. However, there were at least 100 names listed in that company for the years 1862 and 1863. So, here I was again, hitting another roadblock.

That night when I went to bed, I said, “OK — I can’t do anything with Company I — I need more information, a name. Please!”

As I was opening my eyes in the morning, I was stunned to see an older man dressed in a grey top hat, long grey coat, grey pants, black boots, white shirt, and a black bowtie. It was indicative of Civil War period dress. The man had grey hair and a beard. He was hovering above me and he said to me, “John Hart!” I just about flipped my lid.

I jumped out of bed and ran right to my desk where the 1896 book was. I frantically flipped through the pages and found the roster for Company I. Bam! There it was on the list, “John Hart.” Now I had to find out what happened to him.

This person’s records were completely screwed up. I spent months and months tracking everything down, talking to historians, volunteer historians and historical societies in New York. (This is where the unit was from that John Hart was in.)

    John Hart

Eventually, after months of painstaking work, I got his records correct. He had had a very rough life. He died in a Veterans home all alone. He fought in many battles and was sick several times during his enlistment. He got sick the first time when he was in a military hospital because he got wounded slightly in the chest! (This is where I was wounded in my dream.)

He was also in the battle of Harpers Ferry and was a Union Soldier. He was part of a unit that fought the bulk of the battle. They eventually had to surrender because of inept leadership. His unit got labelled the “Harpers Ferry Cowards”. He was able to redeem himself at the battle of Gettysburg where his unit won great honors fighting heroically in the battle.

I looked up the battle of Harpers Ferry and found a photo of it. It looked exactly like the area of the Civil War battle I was in, in my dream, where I got wounded in the chest. Everything was exactly the same. My dreams are very vivid, and I can still recall every detail of them.

For many years after the war John Hart suffered from alcoholism. He did get married and have children. He and his family were very poor. He couldn’t get any help from the government he fought for.

Interestingly, these were very similar struggles to what I have gone through in this life due to my military and combat experiences. However, because of alcoholism, and the diseases he contracted during the war, he developed a spinal disease similar to syphilis. He eventually ended up in a Civil War era military hospital in a wheelchair where the disease led to pneumonia, and he died in 1906. After I told his story in my fourth book, I never saw John Hart again.

    Something that didn’t make sense…

I was convinced that John Hart was me in a past life, however he did not die of his wound in the chest, as I did in my dream. So that didn’t make sense.

However, a German psychiatrist (with a background in Jungian psychology) I was seeing when I had PTSD suggested that the wounds from those 3 past lives were symbolic wounds to the heart, rather than literal ones.

She suggested that in my past lives, because of my experiences in combat, my heart was wounded, emotionally. So, I reenlisted each time in order to avoid having to deal with that (this actually is typical response for people with trauma because it is something they are familiar with). And because I did not deal with those wounds, it eventually killed me just like it did to John Hart. In this life, I broke the cycle. I did not re-enlist, and I did deal with the wounds the war caused for me.

This was all for a reason. First, it was about self-love, loving and valuing myself enough to heal myself. Then, I was to use what I learned from these experiences and inspire others to do the same through light work.

Subsequently, I had Anna do an Akashic Record reading for me. These life lessons (self-worth and love) showed up in her reading along with the percentages of how much work I have done on them throughout all of my lives which demonstrated to me that I have been working on them for a purpose all along.

It also came up in the reading that on the ‘other side’, in between my earthly lives, I helped others heal after a traumatic or early death. (I primarily helped small children and babies.) After reading this, I felt that these past lives I mentioned and everything I’ve been through in this life were for the purpose of gaining knowledge about the difficulties these experiences cause so that I can advance to helping others on the other side.

Spirituality has always been a big part of my life. My intuition guides me daily and I have learned to trust it. I can sense things and feel things in people. I have had out of body experiences, I have had dreams that predicted the future, God spoke to me once in my family room right before I published my first book, A Line in the Sand, and everything he told me would happen, did. So, for these reasons I have always “believed”.

  • Why You Should Avoid Being a ‘Seeker’ When Using the Law of Assumption

Why You Should Avoid Being a ‘Seeker’ When Using the Law of Assumption

In 1933, Neville Goddard was being mentored in the Law of Assumption by his teacher, the legendary Abdullah (who was an Ethiopian Rabbi and Jewish mystic.)

A native of Barbados, by that point, Neville had been in the US for 12 years and he had been a dancer working on Broadway. The Great Depression was underway and Neville had been laid off, since some people in NYC were homeless and hungry, and most had no money to pay to see a show.

He had been living in a basement on 75th street. He had a burning desire to escape the misery and cold of NYC, and to return to Barbados and be among his family for Christmas but he had no money to do so.

He told his mentor of his wish to return and lamented that he had no money. Abdullah’s reply was “You are in Barbados”. He instructed Neville to imagine he was walking the streets of Barbados as he walked the New York City streets, and to hear the sounds of Barbados and feel the warm temperatures as he fell asleep. Essentially, he told him to ‘live in the end’ of being in Barbados.

Neville did this for some time and nothing happened in the external world.

Several days before the last ship for the year was set to sail to Barbados from New York, and with his goal of being in Barbados seemingly still far away, Neville went to visit Abdullah and told him that nothing had happened. He said that Abdullah got up and left the room, and slammed his study door on Neville, saying something along the lines of “I can’t talk to you about this, because you are in Barbados.”

Within a few days, Neville was on his way home to Barbados because his brother Victor had sent him a ticket to return home for Christmas, out of the blue after 12 years of being overseas.

Through this experience, Neville learned an important lesson about manifesting, which was that one should not ask where one’s manifestation is.

Doing this is living in the assumption that one does not have what one desires. It’s an admission of a lack of faith and a statement on the part of the person who is making it, that they are not in fact ‘living in the end’. It constitutes being a seeker because you are not having what you want, instead you are seeking it.

    Seekers don’t find

Only those who have already found (on the inside) what they seek, will find what they desire in the external world.

So, in this article I’m going to talk about how you can avoid being a seeker and why I think this is a very important part of conscious manifesting that hardly anyone talks about.

How to avoid being a seeker

If you are learning about conscious manifesting, there are going to be two phases to your journey. The first phase is where you gather information and learn about how to use the Law in your favour. Neville Goddard called this ‘being a hearer of the word’.

As part of this phase, maybe you read Neville Goddard’s books or listen to his lectures.

Maybe you’ve read some of my articles on the topic.

Maybe you’ve watched YouTube videos on the Law of Assumption.

Maybe you have browsed Law of Assumption/Neville Goddard subs on Reddit.

Once you’ve studied the Law to some degree, to avoid being a seeker you need to take your search offline and just start applying what you know. You need to build your faith by putting it into practice. This is the second phase and it is what Neville called being a ‘doer of the word’.

He also said, don’t just be a hearer of the word — be a doer. In other words, stop talking about it and researching it, and just put the Law into practice.

The online Law of Assumption communities I’ve come across are packed with ‘hearers’ of the word. This is OK, especially if those people are in their learning phase, but it seems some of those people are not. Some people are leaving comments on YouTube videos complaining that they’ve been using the Law for a long time and nothing is happening. Or they are talking about situations they want to change and focusing on what they do not want to see in their reality.

This is not how you use the Law in your favour.

How you use the Law in your favour is that you spend a certain amount of time learning about the Law and then you come up with a daily practice (comprised of techniques) that you do until you find you’re living in the end naturally and you no longer need the techniques. If during this time you go online to moan about why your manifestation isn’t here yet, you’re shooting yourself in the foot.

For this reason, I’m not a fan of getting Law of Assumption teachings off YouTube in a long term way…

…And once you’ve learned enough about the Law, I think you should stay away from them and any other content that may put you into the role and identity of “person who is learning to consciously manifest.”

YouTube channels don’t foster the independence that is necessary for being a successful conscious manifester, and this is built into their business model.

Most LOA channels are set up to make money and sustain a business. There isn’t anything wrong with that, but you should think carefully about what stage of your process you are in (hearing or doing?) and whether the channel owner’s goals align with the stage you’re in. Most of these channel owners encourage comments (and these comments are probably going to be about where you are in your manifestation process) because it means more traffic to their videos. They offer ongoing support in the form of coaching. What do you think would have happened if Abdullah had not slammed the door on Neville and instead offered him coaching to talk about what isn’t happening? Or if YouTube had existed then and Neville had been holed up in his basement feverishly consuming content and writing comments complaining about how he tried so hard to be in Barbados but it just didn’t work out. Would Neville have made it to Barbados that Christmas? Perhaps not. Neville was almost there with his manifestation and Abdullah knew it, so he refused to talk about it.

But this is not how most LOA coaches and content creators approach it. They will support you in talking about how you don’t have what you want for as long as they earn money that way. (I don’t believe this is done on purpose, but if you are in the ‘doing’ stage of your journey, it is a mismatch between the creator’s goals and the consumer’s that is naturally baked in to the business model.)

Whenever I have watched YouTube videos on the Law of Assumption, I find the energy of them is very different to listening to a Neville Goddard lecture. There is the energy of neediness or lack that is built into much of the YouTube content.

I believe that this energy is there because the coach is in daily contact with many clients who are living in neediness and lack. They are trying to coach those clients out of a place of lack. They are making videos to help people come out of lack and into living in the end.

And if you scroll down and read the comments, you can often find the same lack energy in those.

Most LOA YouTube videos take me out of an abundance mindset and into a lack one. I start thinking “what could I be missing?”.

But I don’t get the same sense of lack when I listen to Neville or read his work. Instead, I feel a sense of conviction from him. He transmits the energy of confidence in his lectures and books, to the point that it’s almost an activation for those who read or listen to his work.

In my opinion, this same energy isn’t present in most other modern New Thought teachings.

And so my sense about it is that once you are using the Law, you need to limit talking about being in the process of manifesting and you need to exercise caution around the manifesting communities that you are a part of, otherwise you may find that you are perpetually being someone who is in the process of manifesting, which creates more of being that person.

Hardly anyone talks about this because doing what Abdullah did and slamming the door on people when they are getting close to their manifestation is not a viable business model for a Law of Assumption coach, and it can feel kind of unsupportive and mean, too.

However, at some point in their journey I do think conscious creators should be encouraged to go their own way on a path of independent conscious creation. Using the Law of Assumption is a solitary path. It requires putting the Law into practice and the building of faith on this path through persistence, which leads to success. No-one can build that faith for you.

    There is no try

You can be a hearer of the word or you can be a doer.

Note that there is no being a ‘tryer’. You’re either doing it or you’re not.

Many people in manifesting communities are being tryers. They’re trying to manifest but they are doubting and that’s why they need videos, support and a place to talk about why their manifestation isn’t here. Instead they need to go off and test the law repeatedly, on their own solitary journey.

Know where you are in your process. If you only found out about the Law in the last year or two, you may still be a hearer of the word. But if you know it’s time to be a doer of the word, switch to doing and stop being a hearer.

At this point, once you’ve got your plan and your daily practice, all there is to do is to follow it until your subconscious mind is impressed.

At this point, there is no need to be a part of a community of other (maybe unsuccessful) conscious creators. Nor is there any need to chronically consume information to make sure you’re ‘doing it right’. If you’d like to consume information though, I think it should be Neville’s books and lectures because in them he transmits the energy of something rather special.

What would you be doing if you had your manifestation?

Another way to avoid being a seeker is to ask yourself what would you be doing if you had your manifestation? And what you would stop doing if you had your manifestation? Do those things, or stop doing those things.

Cynthia Stafford (who manifested $12.8m on the lottery in 2007) said that she interviewed financial advisors to help her to look after the money before she won. She was that convinced that she was going to win.

Obviously there may be limits to this and only you can judge for yourself what those are — for example, if you take medication for an illness, you probably aren’t going to come off that suddenly. Instead you keep living in the end and wait for evidence in the 3D that it’s time to come off.

But the things you can do, you should do. And the things you can stop doing, you should stop doing.

At some point, that may include no longer consuming LOA content chronically and chatting on LOA forums. To do that long term is to be a seeker, and seekers, by definition, do not find.

My Spiritual Awakening Story: How I Learned the Spirit World & Conscious Creation Were Real

The video transcript is posted below!

In this video I wanted to talk about my own process of spiritual awakening. So I’ve had two spiritual awakenings in my life. The first one happened maybe 20 years ago (or rather, between 15 and 20 years ago because it was a process that happened over time). And the second one happened in the last couple of years. So, I’m going to tell the story in this video of those two awakenings. And if you have been through a spiritual awakening or you’re currently going through one, please write a comment for the YouTube video and let me know, tell the story of what that awakening was like because I think that spiritual awakenings are really fascinating.

Okay, so let’s have a look at my first spiritual awakening. So I just want to give you a little bit of context to this story. So I was born in the 1980s in the UK, and I was born into a family that was not very religious or spiritual. My mother was a scientist initially in her career, she did a microbiology degree. So she was very scientifically oriented, and that was her way of seeing the world, through a scientific lens. My father wasn’t particularly religious either. My grandmother was, however, a Christian, and around the age of 10 or 11, I felt this pull towards going to church. And in retrospect, I don’t think that I was really looking for Christianity as such. It was more that I was looking for an experience of connecting with the Divine or connecting with the mystical aspect of life. So, I was a Christian from about the age of 11, and I continued to be a Christian until maybe the age of 19, even though I didn’t really relate to the dogma aspect of Christianity. But I was looking for that experience of something mystical.

So, I stopped being a Christian, maybe around the age of 19, and this is when my first awakening began. And it began because, well, there were two things. One of them was that I was attending a Bible study group, and I went to a different church, and it turned out to be an evangelical Christian church. I actually found it quite disturbing. There were people there talking in tongues, and screaming, and falling down, and there was a lot of talk of hell and the devil and how people that I knew were definitely going to go to hell because they weren’t Christians. So it was really off-putting, and I found it really scary and quite cultish. So that happened that made me really doubt whether this was a path that I wanted to continue going down because it just didn’t resonate with me (all of that hell, and devil, and dramatic stuff that I saw in the church and at the Bible study group!)

So there was that, and then also at the time I went into a bookshop when I was at university, and I went to the Christian section, maybe because I was trying to get some answers or some insights as to how all of this corresponded with what I felt was true, these experiences that I’d had in this evangelical church. And I found a book that was in the Christian section called Conversations with God. And I bought it and I took it home and I started to read it, and it was not in fact a Christian book at all. They’d put it in the wrong section. It was a new age book. It was a spirituality book. And as I was reading it, I just couldn’t believe what I was reading because it resonated with me so much more than anything that I’d learned in the Christian church. And the idea in it was that we are all a piece of the Divine, and that everything in this world is a piece of the Divine.

So, the Divine is in everything. And this was a new idea for me because when you compare it to what Christianity teaches, which is that we are the fallen children of God and that we need saving, and we’re these lowly worms who are not really worth anything until we’re saved by Jesus. (I haven’t studied Christianity for a long time, so that summary of it might not be correct, but that was how I felt about it at the time.) That was how I felt about myself, and then I picked up this book, and I read it, and it told me that I had a higher self that was divine, and that everybody else did too. And as I say, this resonated with me so much more than Christianity did. And after that, I left Christianity, much to the consternation of my friends who were in the Bible study group, and they applied a lot of pressure trying to get me to come back, but I didn’t. I just decided it wasn’t for me and that I’d found these other ideas that made so much more sense.

It was like it really struck a chord within me. It was like there was this part within me that knew what the truth was, and when I read these words, it was like it hit me hard in that place, and I knew that this was something that I believed in. And so it was just the death knell for my Christian beliefs. So that was when I was in my second year at university, and over the next few years, I read psychic books. I read books by Sonia Choquette, by Doreen Virtue. I also read blogs, and at the time, I think it was like 2005, 2006. So it was not really right at the beginning of the internet, but it was the early days of the internet. And so it was amazing to come across certain blogs written by psychics and spiritualists that shared information that I hadn’t really come across before about the spirit world, about their experiences of the spirit world and what it was all like. And it just blew my mind and it kept hitting me in that part of me that I felt could recognize my truth, and it just kept hitting me and saying, “Yep, this is what I believe.”

So I graduated in, I think it was 2006, and a couple of years later, I was working in a language school in Spain, in the Spanish Pyrenees, and I think that this was my… Yeah, it was my second job that I’d had out of university. And I was quite pretty unhappy. I was teaching English, I was also teaching French to Spanish speakers, and I was just unhappy for various reasons. It just wasn’t quite what I wanted to do with my life, and there was this feeling that I knew that there was something different that I was supposed to be doing. I knew there was something more to life than just this job. So I was on this search or this quest for information and knowledge, and I think it did center very much around past lives. I had always had a fascination for past lives, and I came across the website of a woman who offered Akashic Record readings. And part of the reading was about past lives.

Prior to this point, I’d also had a past life reading, I think it was a few years earlier. It wasn’t a past life reading, it was a psychic reading, but it had a past life component to it. And when I asked her about my past life, she said to me, “The only thing I can tell you is Tuscany in Italy. That’s all I can see.” So that was all she told me. And then when I came across this woman’s website and she was offering Akashic Record readings, as I said, that had a past life component, I felt really drawn to it. It was a very expensive reading, so I was a little bit hesitant, but I just kept coming back to it. I just knew that it was my next step. And the night before the reading, I actually had a dream of the actual reading where she was telling me certain things about who I was on the soul level. And the amazing thing was that, when I actually had the reading the next day, it was the same as my dream.

So the things that I had been told in my dream were things that she told me in the reading, and they weren’t general things. They were really specific things that an Akashic Record reading goes into. That I now, I do these Akashic Record readings for people myself now, and that I go into. So it was quite specific, the information in the dream and the information that I got in my reading that corresponded. So that was really interesting, and I was just blown away by the reading. I thought it was brilliant. It explained so much to me about my life lessons, the things that I’d struggled with, the way that I was feeling. Interestingly, she also told me about a past life that I had in Tuscany, in Italy. And the situation that she told me about from the previous lifetime, I was working as a governess, and I was in a situation that was very similar to the situation that I was in at the time that I had the reading. So obviously in real life I was also working as a teacher. So there were just some parallels. So that was really interesting.

Yeah, so I decided to train with this woman and do her correspondence course or her online program to learn to read the Akashic Records, and that was over 16 years ago. And one of my first clients at the time was my boss at the language school because he was really interested in all things psychic and spiritual. And so I did a reading for him. It was not actually… I did an Akashic Record reading for him, but I also did a general reading even though I had no clue how to do it. But the feedback that he gave me about the information that I got was that it really resonated with him, and then he was blown away by the Akashic Record reading that I did as well. So all of those experiences, when you put them together, even though I was hesitant, and I was doubtful, and I think I was also quite skeptical in some ways because I had this really analytical side to me as well. But when I put it all together, there were just too many coincidences, the dream, and, yeah, there was obviously something to it. And there was also an experience that I had around this time that really pushed me over the edge from being unsure to being completely sure that the spirit world was real, that all of this stuff was real, and it was a mediumistic experience that I had.

So I was asleep at the time, and this was around 2007. And so I was asleep in the accommodation that my boss had provided for me as part of the work arrangement. And it’s like I felt this knock on my head. Somebody hit me on the side of my head, and I woke up, and immediately after I woke up, I could see in my mind’s eye… So it wasn’t a spirit that was in front of me, it was in my mind’s eye. I don’t think I even had my eyes closed. It was almost like there was this screen that I could see with my eyes open with this spirit on it. And it was the spirit of a man, and he had dark hair and dark skin. He didn’t tell me his name, but he gave me a message which was, “I’m so glad that your boss took my wife on holiday.” And I thought, “Well, this is strange.” I didn’t know what that was about. And he showed me this image of him in a caravan or an RV with this woman, and he got out of the RV and disappeared, and then my boss got into the RV with the woman. And he also said to me, “By the way, I built the building that you’re living in.”

So I didn’t really know what any of this meant, but I told my boss the next day, and he said it was the spirit of his wife’s first husband who had died of cancer. So she’d been married to this man, and he died really young of cancer, and then she met my boss later. And before he died of cancer, before he had been diagnosed with cancer, they planned to make a trip around North America in an RV, or a caravan, or whatever. And they couldn’t do it because he got cancer. So they never went on that trip. But then when my boss met this woman, they ended up taking the trip together, the trip that she hadn’t been able to take with her first husband. She went with her second husband, which was my boss. And my boss also told me that this guy had built the building that I was living in. So he was a builder. He actually built it with his own hands. So when I heard this, I was like, “I guess all of this stuff is real. The spirit world is real.” So that was my first awakening.

Okay, so the second awakening that I had, which was a couple of years ago, and this wasn’t so much an awakening because I’d already knew the spirit world was real. I’d been doing, since that time that I had that first awakening, I’d been doing readings, Akashic Record readings and other types of readings for people, on and off for about 16 years. Sorry, 14 years by that point, by the time I had my second awakening. So the second awakening was about my own power to create my reality. So around two years ago, well, building up to two years ago, my health started to fail. Maybe around 10, 12 years ago, things started happening that weren’t good.

I had really bad allergies, really severe allergies that nothing seemed to solve. I developed asthma for the first time as an adult, had all kinds of digestive problems that I hadn’t had before. And over the next 10 to 12 years, it just seemed to go downhill, and I got sicker and sicker, even though I was doing things like eating 10 portions of vegetables a day and living in a healthy way, like exercising and all the rest of it. My health just declined gradually over that period, and it came to a head two years ago when I was diagnosed with a really serious autoimmune illness. And it was pretty devastating because it was very debilitating, and when I looked into the prognosis, it wasn’t good. Most people who had this diagnosis became disabled and were no longer able to work. And it usually happened after between five and 20 years. So people tended to stop working and really struggled and lived half lives from what I could gather.

So that was pretty devastating to me, and I was really ill. And then also, what I hadn’t mentioned was that during that 10 to 12 year period when my health was declining, I had seasonal affective disorder. Actually, I’d had that since the age of 16. So I had winter depression, and that got worse and worse as the years went on. And I also found that I was frequently depressed outside of that winter period. I was also depressed in the summer. So I was really sick with all of those things about two years ago. So I felt like I had two choices ahead of me. One of them was that I would accept what had happened and I would decline and just possibly have to give up work because I wasn’t able to work at the time. And then the second path that I saw was that I would possibly learn how to heal myself, and I think I was really skeptical of this path.

I didn’t know that I could heal myself. I knew that I could heal myself emotionally and spiritually because I’d been involved in healing modalities, but I didn’t have an understanding of how that could affect my body or how I could make changes to my body, because it seemed to me like the more I lived in a healthy way, the sicker I got. The more vegetables I ate, I went on a vegan diet, I was vegetarian, I was, as I say, exercising, I was detoxing, and I was still unhealthy, and lacking in energy, and depressed. So it seemed to me like the more I did, the worse I got. So yeah, I didn’t have an understanding of how I could heal myself physically, and I didn’t really believe in it, probably because I’d been raised by somebody who was so scientific and involved in the medical field. And of course, conventional medicine teaches us that we cannot heal ourselves, we cannot cure incurable illnesses.

So I decided to take that second path of trying to heal myself. And I started off by doing a program called the DNRS program, which was a program that was actually based on spiritual principles, although it was not marketed that way. And it was about focusing… Well, doing positive visualizations every day. It was also about elevating mood throughout the day and interrupting negative thoughts. And basically, it was a program that was based on the law of assumption. And the law of assumption is a philosophy that is kind of similar to the law of attraction, which is something that I had discovered and kind of dismissed about 15 years earlier, because I could never get it to work for me. So the law of assumption was a philosophy that was popularized by Neville Goddard, who was an author, and a lecturer, and a mystic from the 1930s to the 1970s in America. And yeah, I started to look into these law of assumption teachings. And the law of assumption says that what you see in your 3D reality is a product of what is in your subconscious mind.

It’s what you are subconsciously assuming and believing and what your identity is, whereas the law of attraction was more about that you attract based on how you are feeling. So the difference between the law of assumption and the law of attraction was that the law of assumption was more about your world is a reflection of what you are being, what you are embodying in your subconscious and in your energy field. And then, as I said, the law law of attraction is more about you attract according to what you feel. So the law of assumption says that if you want to change your 3D reality, then you have to change who you are being. You have to change your identity, and then as a result of that, you change your beliefs. Maybe you change your feelings, and you definitely change your thoughts as well.

So to give you an example, let’s say that you are poor and you don’t have enough money, maybe you’re in debt. If you want to change your reality according to the law of assumption, you need to embody the reality of somebody who has money. You need to be somebody who has money. So that means that, not just that you feel like you have money, but you think thoughts are in alignment with that, and you change your concept of yourself and your identity. So maybe you affirm things like, I have always been good with money, things like that, to change your identity. So I, at this time, read a lot of books. I read Neville Goddard’s books and listened to his lectures. I read a really good book by Dr Joe Dispenza, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, which Dr Joe really does get the teachings of the law assumption. And I also read books by Joseph Murphy and Vadim Zeland, who is a Russian quantum physicist.

So I applied these teachings, and what I found is that they did in fact work and that it was not a scam as I had feared when I first discovered these ideas. So in terms of the results that I had, I let go of the seasonal affective disorder. So the winter depression disappeared, and I’ve had two winters with no seasonal depression, after having had 22 years of seasonal depression. I stopped having a depression in general, stopped having depressive symptoms. I no longer had complex post-traumatic stress disorder from my difficult childhood. I’d suffered with that throughout my life, and I let that go as well. I became asymptomatic in the very serious illness that I had developed a couple of years ago, and I no longer had the allergies that I had suffered from in the past. And also, I think I forgot to mention that I also had really severe asthma that often landed me in the emergency room after a virus. I only got asthma after a virus, but it was really debilitating, and that disappeared pretty much as well.

So that was my second awakening, an awakening to the idea that I really was the creator of my reality, that I could change who I was being. I could change how I was feeling, how I was thinking. I could change what I was envisioning and imagining in my mind’s eye, what I was daydreaming about. And I make it sound really simple in this video, but there was a lot of work that I put into it, and I go into that on my blog. I’ve published lots of articles about it. So if you want to read more about how I did that, you can go to www.annasayce.com, and I’ll put a link in the description as well so that you can go and visit my blog and read articles about how the law of assumption works and how you can use it in your favor in this way.

So both of those awakenings were really exciting, but I think the second one was the most exciting because it was an awakening to my own power, and I realized that I could be what I wanted to be. I could achieve whatever I wanted to achieve because if I’d achieved this, then that meant that I could achieve other things as well. So yeah, those were my two awakenings. So I hope that you enjoyed listening to the story of my awakenings, and as I said, please share your story if you have had a spiritual awakening or you’re currently going through one, as I would love to read about it. Okay, thank you for watching.

Neville Goddard: How to Do the Revision Technique

In this article I’m going to cover:

    • How to do the Neville Goddard Revision technique
    • How it works
    • And who can benefit from it.

I am someone who has revised over 100 memories from my childhood and it has changed my life. I think that this technique is fantastic and I am excited to share what I have learned about how to do it.

If you don’t want the preliminary info and just want to skip straight to the revision instructions, click on the link just below:

    Otherwise, read on…

    What Is Revision?

Neville Goddard talked about the revision technique in his 1954 lecture ‘The Pruning Shears of Revision’. He recommended that his students revise their day on a nightly basis by re-imagining any events that were unfavourable, and essentially re-writing them so that the events were what they wanted to experience.

This is what revision is: it’s re-imagining the past not how it was, but how you wanted it to be.

    How Does Revision Work?

To understand how revision really works we need to understand how we create our reality here in the 3D.

Here’s how it goes: first of all, you receive vital life force from Source or Infinite Intelligence (of which your soul is a part). This life force passes through your subconscious mind and then your subconscious mind conditions that life force with whatever it contains — which is mostly your beliefs, assumptions, and self-concept.

That conditioned life force is projected out into the quantum field, and your 3D reality re-arranges itself to match whatever you are projecting. So your current 3D reality is a perfect reflection of your subconscious mind and its beliefs, self-concept and assumptions.

Consciously manifesting a new outcome is all about changing what your subconscious mind holds within it, so that you can manifest something new.

We normally do this through visualisations/SATS, affirmations and other techniques. Manifesting is all about successfully impressing the subconscious mind (often through these techniques) with what you want to see in your life.

Do you know what impresses the subconscious mind most powerfully? More powerfully than any affirmation or any visualisation?

Negative events from the past, and especially ones that occurred during the time when you were forming your self-concept and beliefs (so, from the first 20 or so years of life.)

Negative events from our formative years are powerfully impressed onto the subconscious mind, and result in limiting beliefs that can be tricky to change later on. These beliefs sit in our subconscious mind and we manifest according to them.

Therefore, if you truly want to experience something different in your 3D reality, you may need to not only ‘insert’ a new story into your subconscious mind, with affirmations and SATS, but you may need to also ‘take out’ the old story, using revision.

I believe that revision is the missing link for many conscious creators who are failing to create what they want.

If you are fighting an uphill battle to forget the old story and shed the ‘old self’, you probably need to revise.

If you say affirmations and use SATS but the past still looms large and you struggle to stay positive, you may need to revise.

Neville Goddard said that revision is the most powerful technique for manifesting, and he also said that if you take only one thing from his work, it should be revision.

Below I provide detailed instructions on how to revise.

Here’s how to revise an unfavourable memory from your past

    1. Take your past memory that you want to rewrite and write it down at the top of a piece of paper. Ask yourself, how did you feel during this event/interaction? Write that out.

    2. How did you want to feel? It’s usually the opposite, so write that out.

    3. Then come up with a revised scenario with the person involved that would make you feel that opposite. Write out a detailed scene on paper of how you wanted it to go.

As an example, let’s say someone is revising being hit by a caregiver in childhood. In that memory, they felt unsafe and unprotected. The opposite of this is feeling safe and protected. To achieve this, they could revise that that caregiver instead protected them in a similar situation where someone threatened violence. Maybe they had a nanny or a babysitter who threatened to spank them if they didn’t behave but the caregiver stepped in and fiercely protected them, by firing that babysitter and telling the babysitter “this is non-violent household, therefore you no longer work here”. Or alternatively, they could revise that the caregiver tells them after a fight with a sibling that “we never use violence in this household.”

    4. Revision is SATS, but for the past, so once you have your scene, get yourself into a meditative state. Do a few minutes of mindfulness meditation at least before you revise, where you focus on your breath for several minutes.

    5. Then play out your scene in imagination, in detail. Do it from the first person perspective and try to add as many details as possible

    6. Loop it between 3-7 times, or until you feel a sense of emotion and the scene takes on tones of reality. For example, if you are revising the time a caregiver hit you in childhood, until you feel safe and protected. Once you feel the emotion you want to feel, you’re done

    7. Then this is not 100% necessary but at the end I like to either burn or shred the paper with the details of the old memory.

The old memory should now fade into the background once you’ve done it and seem “less real”. If it still troubles you, it usually means that you haven’t revised it in a way that convinces your subconscious and you may need to come up with another scenario, or that you simply didn’t loop it enough.

    My Experiences with Revision

I first came across revision watching some videos by YouTuber Missy Renee (who is one of the few LOA YouTubers I think is worth listening to) She talked about how she had manifested the life of her dreams — she was in a happy relationship, had the home of her dreams and had a successful business.

But earlier in her life it had been a different story. She grew up in a dysfunctional family and her childhood had negatively affected her, especially in the area of romantic relationships. She had been in a good relationship with her now partner but ruined the relationship because of all her insecurities which came from things that happened to her in childhood. She also said she suffered from addictions and mental health issues.

She said she revised 200+ memories from her long term past and this is what completely changed the trajectory of her life in terms of what she was manifesting.

My ears really pricked up when I heard this.

I also came from a dysfunctional family and it had affected me in many areas of life, particularly with my health and romantic relationships. I often felt like manifesting a better future was an uphill battle — it was definitely a battle I could fight, but I was ‘brute forcing’ it with mental diet, affirmations, and SATS. These did actually work, but I felt like I was fighting against a force that was perhaps more powerful (aka the past) and it seemed to repeat in a couple of ways, in spite of all my good work.

Revision appeared to offer a way to completely move beyond the past so I grabbed it with both hands.

I revised 100+ memories from my childhood. I listed out all of the memories from my life that I wanted to revise and then I started with revising those memories that were from the first 17 years of my life.

I revised them all over a period of 2.5 weeks (which admittedly was way too fast, and I don’t recommend this.)

The effects of the revision were amazing. I felt like I was in a different reality afterwards and I was. My health improved. My finances suddenly became even more abundant than they were before. An avalanche of good luck events occurred just in the space of one month. Certain positive habits that I’d struggled to keep up on a daily basis suddenly became easy to do.

It was as if I had all this good luck in escrow and the revision made it so that I could receive it. I felt more empowered. I could also drop the affirmations and strict mental diet that I was doing to manifest, because I didn’t need those things anymore. I had already become the ‘new self’ with the help of revision, so saying affirmations was no longer something I needed to stay on track with my manifestation, but instead something I sometimes did just for a nice boost of positive energy. My thoughts naturally aligned themselves with my desired reality and no mental diet was needed after the revision.

Note that I have done many healing modalities over the last 12 years, and nothing I’ve done in the past compares to the results that came from revision in terms of clearing a karmic complex. I want to qualify that by saying that the other modalities I’ve done (such as cord cutting) have helped me a lot in the past and I still recommend them, but revision has a power that surpasses the other measures I’ve taken, specifically for clearing karmic complexes.

I feel like I have become the person I would have been, had those events in childhood never happened. I don’t know if the revision changed the past, but it certainly has changed me.

A psychic in my circle who didn’t know I had just done a lot of revision said to me afterwards “Woah, what have you done to your aura! You have just released a ton of karma through forgiveness and now you’re free.”

This was just some more external validation (which I didn’t really need, because I already knew on the inside) that I really was in a new reality.

I still have revision that I’d like to do (I’m only about 40% complete on all the memories from my life) but I’ve done enough to understand why Neville Goddard said that if you only take one thing from his work, it should be revision.

The fact is, revision changes you and your subconscious mind. The past doesn’t stay in the past. It often impresses your subconscious mind with its unfavourable outcome and then goes out into the future. It takes huge conscious effort to stop the past repeating itself.

Why not make it easier on yourself and revise?

Revision essentially pulls the negative memory, and the limiting beliefs associated with that memory, out at its roots. Saying positive affirmations when you have negative past memories and limiting beliefs is like mowing a lawn with weeds on it. You can mow over the weed and it disappears for a while. (This is what affirmations will do.) But revision pulls the weed out at its root so you no longer need to keep mowing it. So, if you do feel ready for revision, this could be one way of manifesting your desired reality without having to work as hard for it over the long term.

The people who could not manifest the life they wanted

I recently listened to YouTuber Brian Scott of ‘Reality Revolution’ read an essay written by a man called Israel Regardie, who was a student of Neville Goddard’s in the 1940s. Israel Regardie said that when Neville gave lectures teaching people how to use the Law of Assumption, there was always a small disgruntled group of people among his students who could not get the Law to work for them at all.

They would become frustrated and angry with Neville, and call him a fraud.

I believe that these people were probably the ones who needed to revise their long-term past.

They were trying to manifest certain things, but their past was overriding their efforts because their subconscious mind had been so impressed with past negative events.

(This is what happened for me when I tried to use the Law of Attraction and ‘the Secret’ when I discovered it 15 years ago. I just couldn’t get it to work for me.)

The fact is, Neville Goddard came from a loving family and had a pleasant childhood growing up in Barbados. He said that his mother instilled a sense of self-worth in him. So, therefore Neville likely had a high self-concept. This is probably one of the reasons conscious manifesting came easy to him.

Some of his students likely didn’t enjoy a loving childhood or a high sense of self-worth. That may have been why they couldn’t get the law to work in their favour.

Based on my own experiences with revision, I suspect revising their long-term past could have been the missing link for some of them. (However, Neville didn’t start lecturing about revision and how to do it until later in his career as a Law of Assumption teacher, so perhaps some of these people missed out on the opportunity to revise.)

Here are some ideas on how to use revision to consciously manifest more of what you want

    • Take the ACEs quiz for childhood trauma and then revise any ACEs that came up for you
    • For better finances, revise your childhood so that you grew up wealthy — Missy Renee talked about revising her childhood (she grew up in poverty) to one of abundance. She said that after she did this, her poor family became very wealthy, in actual 3D reality
    • For better health, revise any childhood illnesses
    • If you are struggling with your health and you experienced childhood trauma or abuse/neglect in childhood, revise those events. Studies show that having experienced a lot of childhood trauma is associated with poor health later in life. By revising, you might remove the effect those traumas are having on your health
    • If you have a health problem, revise the diagnosis and imagine the doctor telling you they made a mistake and you don’t have the illness
    • If you are struggling with money, revise any events where you struggled with money in the past, for example any bankruptcies or a bad credit score
    • To manifest an ex back or a new relationship, revise any past relationships that went wrong, and take a look at the childhood events that may have screwed up your love life in the past. Events from childhood often repeat. For example, if you were betrayed in childhood and had an untrustworthy caregiver, you will often choose an untrustworthy partner. If your caregiver was violent, you will often end up with a violent partner. If your caregiver or a sibling rejected you and turned away from your attempts to connect, you will often experience rejection in romantic relationships.

If you know you had a rough childhood but you lack clarity about the events that negatively affected you, therapy may be helpful for you before you revise.

If you’re going to revise lots of memories from your long term past, revising chronologically is better

I wrote out a list of memories I wanted to revise, then put each one on a separate paper. Then I ordered them chronologically and revised them in order. I’m a professional intuitive and my Spirit Guides told me to do it this way. Their reasoning was that if you revise earlier stuff first, it ‘loosens’ the later memories in your subconscious mind.

Here are some of the disadvantages of revision, that you should bear in mind when using this technique

    1. Revision can be hard and tiring, and it is stressful going over difficult past memories

Many people do not want to revisit the past. I get it — I was the same. I found revision somewhat stressful and painful, emotionally speaking.

Therefore, you shouldn’t do revision if you’re going through some really bad stuff in your life and you’re not emotionally stable. You definitely shouldn’t do it if you’re in crisis. It requires inner resources and is best done when you’re in a stable situation.

If you choose to do a lot of revision, you should also pace yourself.

Don’t do what I did and revise 100 memories in 2-3 weeks. That’s way too much and resulted in negative short-term consequences for me, such as complete emotional exhaustion. You need time to integrate the shifts that come with revision so I personally would restrict revision to a few memories per day.

Dr Joe Dispenza says that the body is the subconscious mind — it reflects perfectly what is in your subconscious. Your body actually needs time to integrate the new story of your past memory once you’ve revised it. So, make sure you pace yourself to give your body time to catch up. If you do too much revision in a short period of time, you could find that you develop temporary physical symptoms while your body struggles to integrate the work you’re doing.

Using yoga or body-based healing modalities (such as massage therapy or Craniosacral therapy) after revising can also be really helpful to help integrate the revised story into your body, and allow it to ‘catch up’ to your new story as quickly as possible.

    2. Revision is an advanced technique

Not everyone who needs to revise is ready for it for these reasons:

Firstly, it requires some level of belief — if you’re new to the LOA and not sure you believe in it, you’re not ready for revision. You need to test the Law instead and prove to yourself that it exists, then come back to revision once you feel more confident that you have the ability to change your past.

Secondly, in order to revise effectively, you need experience in getting into a meditative state and visualising — if you have no experience of SATS, you should do at least 3 weeks of SATS before using revision.

    3. You may need to do a fair amount of revision in order to create change in a significant life pattern

This technique can require quite a bit of work…

…As an example, let’s say that you are always rejected in romantic relationships (maybe your partners have all ended up leaving you or cheating on you.) If you want to use revision to change this pattern, I don’t believe it will help to just revise the last time a partner left you. For this scenario, I’d make a list of all rejections and include:

    • All the times you were rejected in childhood or adolescence by caregivers, siblings or peers (because for this to still be happening in your adult life, you can absolutely be sure that someone taught you in your formative years that you are “second best”.)
    • All the times you were rejected by potential partners
    • All the times you were rejected (left, cheated on, etc) by partners.

Then I’d revise the lot, starting with the earlier memories.

I don’t believe we can always see change in a life pattern from just revising one past scenario. Instead, I believe we often need to go right back to the root and then making a comprehensive list of everything that stemmed from that — and revise it all. It may take some time, but in my experience, it is so worth it.

And if you don’t have the time/energy to revise everything, go back to the root cause (the earliest memories or memory) and revise those. That will yield the biggest benefits, in my experience. I’ve only completed 40% of the revision I would like to do (I have around 250 memories), but my guides told me I’ve already experienced 80% of the total benefits that I can experience from revision because I’ve revised the memories from the first 17 years of my life (aka the root causes). So, this means that revising the earliest memories is going to give you the biggest bang for your buck, energetically speaking.

Just one more tip for revising:

Make sure that the new memory you choose to over-write the old one, is realistic enough

Personally, when I was revising my 100+ memories, one of the main themes I saw for revision that didn’t work, was that I sometimes used unrealistic memories.

I’ll give you an example. When I was 17 I went to Switzerland to work in a hotel during the summer, to help me to learn French. The hotel was a bit isolated and the woman who owned and ran it was a bully. I spent 2 awful months there, and I felt isolated and was bullied by this woman.

First of all, I revised this memory so that the woman was a really good person. But the memory wouldn’t stick at all and the revision didn’t work. My subconscious mind just wouldn’t accept that she was a nice person. I looped it so many times, but it didn’t work.

In the end, I had to revise it so that she was horrible but I left and went home on the day I realised that. In the memory, I saw myself leaving early on, with a sense of respect for myself and feeling empowered. That was what I needed. My subconscious mind accepted this memory with no problems and I only had to loop it a few times.

So, when revising a memory, if it’s not working, check that your memory is realistic enough. If your revised memory takes place in an ideal world where everyone is wonderful and everything is great, the subconscious mind may not be convinced enough for the revision to stick. So, sometimes instead of making the revised memory 100% ideal, you may need to just make it good enough, so that any harm that did happen to you, no longer happened in the revised memory.

    Does revision change the past?

I believe there is no past, just as there is no future. Time is a clever illusion. You are not moving through life in a linear fashion, as you think you are. Instead you are moving through a variety of states and it’s all happening at once.

Therefore, the past only exists in your memory. You change it, and you change you, when you revise. Studies show that we alter our memories every time we bring them to mind anyway. Why not alter them in your favour?

    Further Resources for Revision:

And finally, let’s look at what Neville said about revision in his book, the Law and the Promise:

“Nothing stands between you and the fulfillment of your dreams but facts — and facts are the creations of imagining. If you change your imagining, you will change the facts.

Man and his past are one continuous structure. This structure contains all of the facts which have been conserved and still operate below the threshold of his surface mind. For him it is merely history. For him it seems unalterable — a dead and firmly fixed past. But for itself, it is living — it is part of the living age.

He cannot leave behind him the mistakes of the past, for nothing disappears. Everything that has been is still in existence. The past still exists, and it gives — and still gives — its results. Man must go back in memory, seek for and destroy the causes of evil, however far back they lie. This going into the past and replaying a scene of the past in imagination as it ought to have been played the first time, I call revision — and revision results in repeal.

Changing your life means changing the past.

The causes of any present evil are the unrevised scenes of the past.

The past and the present form the whole structure of man; they are carrying all of its contents with it. Any alteration of content will result in an alteration in the present and future.

Live nobly — so that mind can store a past well worthy of recall. Should you fail to do so, remember, the first act of correction or cure is always — “revise.”

  • My Health ‘Bridge of Incidents’ over the Last 2 Years —What Does Manifesting Better Health Look Like in Reality?

My Health ‘Bridge of Incidents’ over the Last 2 Years —What Does Manifesting Better Health Look Like in Reality?

Note: this article was written a while back and I’ve written something more up-to-date (with some new insights in it) here. I recommend reading that, instead of this older article.

As you may have noticed, I talk a lot on this blog about the Law of Assumption, a law that was popularised by the New Thought philosopher Neville Goddard’s work which is kind of an alternative to the Law of Attraction (it’s basically the same law but it’s presented differently and it uses some different techniques from the Law of Attraction or ‘the Secret’.)

2 years ago I discovered the Law of Assumption because I had a serious health issue. I am not going to say what it is in this article but if you want the full details you can go here to read the backstory of what I was dealing with at the time.

So this month (November 2023) marks 2 years of my journey in healing and restoring my health.

Here are the changes have I seen in my health during the last 2 years:

    • I no longer have seasonal affective disorder and I haven’t had it for the last 2 winters (I had it for 22 years prior to discovering the Law of Assumption)
    • I no longer suffer from depression or have any depressive symptoms (that’s not to say I don’t ever get sad, it’s just that now these emotions pass through me and then I revert back to a state of inner peace and being OK)
    • I am asymptomatic in the dis-ease I detailed here (I don’t know if I’m in remission yet because I haven’t tested my blood in a while.) If any symptoms do occasionally crop up, I change my emotional and mental state through affirmations, visualisations and who I am “being” as I move through my day, and symptoms, such as any pain melt away on the spot as I’m doing these things. It sounds miraculous but I’m not kidding!
    • I no longer suffer from C-PTSD
    • I no longer get any symptoms of environmental allergies (I was extremely allergic to wattle and silver birch trees in the past and had to move out of the Marlborough, NZ area in 2015 because my allergies were so severe 10 months of the year in that place.)
    • I’m at my ideal weight and have hardly any belly fat. I am metabolically healthy, my blood sugar is stable and don’t get ‘hangry’ if I miss a meal
    • I no longer get the severe, inhaler-resistant post-viral asthma that used to land me in the ER on a nebuliser machine after I had a virus. Instead I take a few puffs of the blue inhaler following a virus and that does the trick. I don’t need the inhaler the rest of the time and I no longer need oral steroids for asthma
    • My peak flow has increased by 50 points
    • I don’t go into anaphylactic shock anymore
    • I don’t suffer from chronic bronchitis or chest infections after a virus anymore like I used to
    • I hardly ever get colds or viruses
    • I’ve seen a lessening of DSPS, my sleep pattern is so much more consistent, and I’m getting up earlier than I used to
    • I don’t have the on-and-off acne problems anymore that I used to get
    • My gut health and digestion are now very good and I have no symptoms of ‘leaky gut’.

However, I still have certain physical restrictions that I impose on myself for my wellbeing. I still don’t go out in the sun much and in the height of summer I don’t go out in it at all. I also don’t consume alcohol, gluten, refined sugar or caffeine. I know that these restrictions will disappear at some point, as I progress in my journey.

But overall I’m extremely happy with the changes I’ve seen. After not being able to work for some of 2021-2022, I have enough energy to work part time in my business. I spend the rest of my day taking great care of myself through cooking, eating good food, taking walks, and meditation.

All of the above has been achieved without the use of pharmaceutical drugs.

(A couple more notes: Soon after I started experiencing the ‘dis-ease’ I referred to above, there was some doubt cast by my integrative rheumatologist as to whether I was dealing with a temporary (drug-induced) version of it, or whether I had the long-lasting form of the dis-ease. Testing later showed I appeared to have the chronic form.

Note that I use the word ‘dis-ease’ here because I believe the roots of the issue were in the mind and the spirit, in that I was embodying a state for many years that was a state of ‘dis-ease’ – not being at ease with myself or the world, and this manifested in my physical body.)

Why I’m sharing this with you

I have had some Law of Assumption coaching clients who got a session with me because they wanted to heal a long-time health issue, and they have asked questions like: what can I expect when manifesting for health? I wanted to write this article to be transparent about what the journey can sometimes look like when you’re bringing your health back from the brink and creating massive changes.

With this article, I’m not suggesting that anyone take the same health measures that I have. I believe that good health comes from the mind-body connection above all. I believe that if you manifest health, the measures that you need which will improve your health will just appear in your reality and seem like good options to take. So, that’s why I’m not recommending anyone do the same things I did.

The main reason I am writing this is to be really transparent about what manifesting better health and the subsequent bridge of incidents can actually look like in practice. It does contain quite a bit of what would normally be private info, but I’ve decided to be open and share it in case it helps others.

I also want to dispel the myth that when we manifest better health and we’re starting that process from a bad place, we tend to just miraculously wake up one day with all our health issues gone. I do believe in miracles for sure (and I’ve experienced many ‘mini miracles’ along the way that propelled me along my path) but the scenario where things change overnight hasn’t been the case for me so far.

(Just a heads up also that this article contains an overwhelming amount of information, and may be quite boring for anyone who isn’t manifesting big health changes. When I was sick I threw the kitchen sink at the problem and I think some of the measures I took were probably unnecessary. So if you read the rest of the article and you get discouraged because you think you need to do all.the.things., don’t be discouraged – this is just an honest review of my journey but doesn’t mean you need to throw the kitchen sink at your issue the way I did – in fact, I don’t recommend that at all.)

OK, so let’s go back to the beginning.

In November 2021 I was ill in a variety of frightening and life-limiting ways and I knew I was on a downward spiral if I didn’t make a change.

The first thing I did was go on the Wahls Protocol for autoimmunity, which was a really solid way to kickstart the process of healing. I’m not on that anymore but I was on it for a while.

Then I did the DNRS program, which is a program for creating better health through the principles of the Law of Assumption. All of the principles of LOA are in there, except the person who created that program doesn’t present the program as a spiritual teaching, which I think is really clever, because people of all faiths who would be put off by the LOA get to do this program.

Instead the founder of this program presents the science behind the principles, and how they help improve health. Yes, the Law of Assumption is backed by scientific principles and if you do the DNRS program, or read Candace Pert’s book Molecules of Emotion or Bruce Lipton’s book The Biology of Belief, you will learn how.

I’ve been doing the DNRS program on and off for 2 years. This program (and by extension the Law of Assumption principles it is based on) was what helped me to kick depression, SAD and C-PTSD. This program also helps with other health conditions. Please note that I am not an affiliate of this program. (I am only mentioning it because I did it, I love it and it’s amazing for creating changes in your health.)

I then took other health measures that came to me as ideas. I am not sure if all of them were necessary and part of the bridge of incidents, because at this point in my recovery I was trying really hard and throwing a bunch of stuff at the wall to see what stuck.

    Here’s what I did next:

    • I came to the conclusion that Big Pharma probably didn’t have my best interests at heart. I wasn’t too aware of this before, but I read extensively about it and as a result I decided I was going to come off the antidepressant I’d been on for 2 years, because it artificially raises serotonin. There is evidence this raise in serotonin may over-stimulate the immune system, which was not helpful in my particular situation.
    • I also decided I wouldn’t be taking any disease-modifying medications unless I was dying or in grave danger of organ damage. (This is something my inner teachers and guides were very clear about.)
    • Similarly, I got rid of the IUD I had, because according to research presented by the American College of Rheumatology, there was some evidence that there was a connection between IUD devices and the onset of autoimmunity involving the joints. I didn’t know if this was a factor for me, but I decided to get rid of it anyway.
    • I started eating mostly organic food – everything I could buy organic, I bought organic (this wasn’t a big change for me since I already ate some organic food)
    • I bought the best water filter money could buy and started using it
    • I got a shower filter
    • I reduced toxins with my cleaning products, toiletries and items in my house (although I was pretty aware of this, prior to this time and I didn’t have a lot of items to get rid of)
    • I started reducing my exposure to EMFs by switching off my internet or phone when I wasn’t using them
    • I threw out most of the synthetic fibres in my home (especially the items in or on my bed) which contained suspected carcinogens and I favoured natural fibres
    • I became interested in biofilm and their probable role in the dis-ease I was dealing with. I started taking the biofilm-buster serrapeptase and various herbs. I took high dose serrapeptase for breaking down biofilm for around 18 months.
    • I faced up to the fact that I had a years-long, out of control chocolate and sugar addiction and I cut it out of my life for the most part (it took me around a year to kick the addiction and stop bingeing on chocolate. I now occasionally have a piece of chocolate – maybe once a month.)
    • I walked for 15-60 mins every day – no matter how tired or symptomatic I was, I did at least 15 mins of walking
    • I started being more disciplined about restricting light by switching off all lights (and only using salt lamps) and by turning off devices or using blue-light blocking glasses after 10.30pm, since blue light blocks the production of melatonin, which is a hormone essential for staying healthy
    • A very kind reader of this blog offered to give me distance Craniosacral therapy to support my healing so I had some Craniosacral sessions around that time, too.

I also started doing Dr Joe Dispenza’s guided meditations daily. I haven’t been consistent with this (I go through phases where I’ll do them everyday for a few months and then I’ll have a break). I think these meditations are really powerful for improving health, because similar to the DNRS program, they take your body out of a fight/flight or stress state and into a state of growth and repair, which is necessary for healing.

I also did 9 months of acupuncture and was told I had a “yang deficiency” which was at the root cause of the dis- ease (more on that later.)

OK, by this point I was ready for bigger life interventions…

…and whatever my higher self needed to do, in order for me to heal, I was ready for. And so bigger life changes started to unfold that were taking me towards a deeper level of healing.

I said goodbye to family members who were triggering huge stress for me. I distanced myself from a couple and cut others out altogether.

I lost a few friendships that weren’t serving me or had slightly toxic or draining dynamics.

A hobby I had and the community connected to it (both of which weren’t really serving me anymore) were cut out.

I moved out of a toxic living situation that was causing chronic stress.

I became someone a bit different. I became more assertive. I started defending my boundaries vigorously where I’d let them slide before.

For the most part, I lost the subtle but lifelong underlying “victim mentality” that I was carrying in my psyche.

I had been a “freezer” in the past (I used to often freeze in stressful situations) and that stopped happening – instead I started to fight and stand up for myself.

A bunch of things had to happen in my life that looked like negative events, to teach me these lessons. That was all parts of the bridge of incidents and it was painful at the time, but I now see these things as big blessings in disguise.

    My self-love increased massively.

I healed my past and I healed the break in my heart that had been there since childhood or perhaps before I even came into this life, and much of this healing came via mystical experiences through Dr Joe Dispenza’s work.

I did so many of the free coherence healings that are offered by Dr Joe Dispenza’s students, over a period of 18 months and these resulted in big emotional healings.

I also had mystical experiences while meditating with Joe Dispenza’s meditations, including one where I was visited by an unmistakable spiritual presence that I believed to be Jesus. While this was happening in the meditation and I was communing with the beautiful energy I recognised as Ascended Master Jesus, someone sliced open my neck and I felt a hand that went into my neck and squelched about, doing something in there. It was frankly one of the weirdest experiences of my life and I still don’t know why a spiritual being was messing around with whatever is inside my neck.

When I came away from each of these experiences, my health got a bit better overnight.

I used Neville Goddard’s revision technique to revise 100+ negative memories from the first 17 years of my life (and I believe this also helped a lot.)

OK, now onto the intervention which was possibly the biggest part of my bridge of incidents.

Through coming off the antidepressant I was on, I had terrible withdrawal symptoms for about 4 months and I discovered the work of Dr Kelly Brogan, who is an apparently discredited psychiatrist who uses natural health measures to help people to come off psych medications. Wikipedia and other health websites online don’t like her and say she’s a conspiracy theorist and a quack.

I used her book ‘A Mind of Your Own’ to help me drastically reduce the withdrawal symptoms. The measures in it really worked. I was suffering a lot at the time and I was very grateful.

I learned that she trained with Dr Nicolas Gonzalez, another medical doctor who was once a conventional oncologist but started treating cancer patients with alternative methods that he learned with Dr William Kelly, who took the research of Drs. Henry Beard, Francis Pottenger and Ernst Gellhorn and put that into practice with his patients. Dr William Kelly had pancreatic cancer and used alternative methods based on the aforementioned research to shrink his tumour and live several decades after he was diagnosed — an outcome that was virtually unheard of in conventional cancer care.

Dr Nicolas Gonzalez took care of many pancreatic cancer patients who had similar miraculous recoveries using these alternative methods.

Dr Gonzalez also had a protocol for other dis-eases, including the one I was dealing with. The dis-ease I was dealing with was one that, according to Dr Gonzalez (and the research of Drs Pottenger and Gellhorn), was caused by over-activation of the parasympathetic branch of the nervous system (which appears to correspond to the yang deficiency in Chinese medicine.)

According to Dr Gonzalez, diseases related to the over-activation of the parasympathetic branch of the nervous system include: allergies, eczema, depression, chronic fatigue, autoimmunity, asthma and chronic bronchitis/chest infections. I had had all of these.

This is the intervention that has brought the biggest leap forward for me. The protocol involves taking large doses of pancreatic enzymes (which modulate the immune system and bust bio-films), certain nutrients that stimulate the sympathetic nervous system, helping to bring the parasympathetic branch back into balance. It also involves glandulars and a diet that is specially designed for parasympathetic over-activation. And it involves detoxification methods which have been invaluable for me and seemed to bring life back into me, bit by bit.

When I started using this protocol, my leap forward happened.

Interestingly, using this protocol is one of the things that allowed me to stop ‘freezing’ in stressful situations (which is how over-activation of the parasympathetic nervous system manifests) and I started to fight and stand up for myself more (when the sympathetic branch of my nervous system was being stimulated through the protocol.)

The endgame of this protocol is to bring the nervous system back into balance and then the measures are no longer needed.

I found this protocol by accident, as often happens when you’re on your bridge of incidents. I didn’t go looking for it.

If you’re interested in these ideas, you can watch Dr Gonzalez give a presentation here or find his website by searching for “The Nicolas Gonzalez Foundation”. He’s deceased but there are practitioners of his methods worldwide.

As a final note, I also practised water fasting, which I believe helped my body to rejuvenate. I did two long water fasts of 7 days and 12 days which helped me (after the 12 day fast, the anti-depressant withdrawal symptoms I’d struggled with for months, finally disappeared for good.)

    A Blessing in Disguise

I am so grateful for the appearance of this dis-ease in my life. If it hadn’t shown up, I probably wouldn’t have discovered the Law of Assumption or been forced to test it out. I wouldn’t have had this opportunity to heal my heart, and to make long overdue changes to my emotional life and behaviours. I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to become someone new — the person I always wanted to be. I have conquered fear and trauma and I now know myself to be the creator of my life (or perhaps more accurately, the co-creator of my life, since I do believe my higher power or higher self is in control of how things manifest for me, and when.)

    Just a note on timelines

I have consulted with several people who had naturally healed the issue I was dealing with, to find out more about what their process of natural healing looked like.

For many of them, I noticed that restoring their body took 3-7 years when done naturally and thoroughly and that the ones who didn’t heal fully had only used ‘matter to matter’ solutions like diet or lifestyle interventions. The ones who healed completely and fully with no further health issues after years of being healed, had either applied the Law of Attraction or The Law of Assumption, along with other lifestyle interventions. (In this article, I talk about how the Law of Assumption intersects with the other laws of nature such as the law of rhythm or natural cycles), and I do think this often applies to manifesting health.

Basically, if you have abused your body and been ill for 40 years, then don’t expect to get well in a weekend. It may take time to move to a reality where you have optimal health.

Also just a note that I believe the physical interventions that I am using – such as the Gonzalez Protocol – are not the answer (at least to the autoimmune dis-ease) on their own. If I drop the ball and enter an undesirable emotional state for an extended period of time (such as a return to feeling powerless or scared), the Gonzalez Protocol stops being so effective. Dr Gonzalez said that healing is 100% physical, 100% psychological and 100% spiritual. You may need all components to heal a serious health issue. If I remove the spiritual (manifesting) component which is allowing me to experience a physical shift with the Gonzalez Protocol, the results disappear. Therefore, the Gonzalez Protocol may simply be a ‘permission slip’ for me to move into a state of better health, although having said that, if I take that component away, I don’t do as well.

A final note also that the autoimmune ‘dis-ease’ I am in the process of shedding is something that can go into remission and then cause a relapse. Stress, in particular, can cause a relapse and the waxing and waning is all part of it. My (thankfully) very open-minded primary care physician has been impressed by the results I’ve had in changing my health, but it would perhaps not be viewed by some in the medical field as a special achievement that I’ve got so much better at this point in time, although I personally feel it IS a special achievement because of how ill I was 2 years ago and the fact that people tend not to get better or go into remission without pharmaceutical drugs. The other challenging health conditions that I’ve shed indicates that my health is on the up and up. This is the overall pattern I’m aiming for over time.

And the last thing I want to say is that it’s possible that some of what I did to create change in my health was unnecessary. As mentioned, I was throwing the kitchen sink at the problem, and that is why I did so much. The steps that I believe were necessary in my journey to get the results I’ve had were (1) DNRS, (2) Joe Dispenza’s meditations and coherence healings, (3) Revision (4) The Gonzalez Protocol and (5) Removing all pharm medications and interventions along with the conventional medical idea that the body is flawed and makes mistakes. I had to totally unhook myself from the philosophies that underpin the current medical model, which says that autoimmune dis-eases cannot be cured.

  • Are There Any Limits to Using the Law of Assumption?

Are There Any Limits to Using the Law of Assumption?

I’ve noticed that some hardcore followers of Law of Assumption teachings insist that literally anything is possible, because Neville Goddard gave a lecture in 1969 entitled “All Things Are Possible”, where he quoted the Bible and specifically the book of Mark, which says “All things are possible to him who believes.”

Such hardcore believers of the Law of Assumption say things such as:

    • It’s possible to bring back those who are long dead using the Law of Assumption
    • Its possible to change species
    • It’s possible to change ethnicity
    • It’s possible to defy gravity.

These believers state that these things are possible, but they have not shared their success story of being able to achieve these things in 3D reality, and nor have any other Law of Assumption students.

Therefore, there are clearly limits to the Law of Assumption. The Law of Assumption is just one spiritual law that governs reality here on Earth. We can use it to manifest certain new outcomes, but there are other spiritual laws and laws of nature, and the Law of Assumption doesn’t trump other laws.

Here are some examples of other laws:

The law of oneness — we are souls who are energetically connected to each other by virtue of having our spiritual origins from the same Source/God/Creator/Infinite intelligence. We cannot sever this connection and we will always be a part of the whole, whether we like it or not

The law of gravity — if you jump off a cliff, you’ll fall to the ground

The law of natural cycles and rhythms — if you want to have a baby, that baby isn’t going to gestate in one weekend. The sun will definitely rise and set tomorrow. Autumn will follow summer (at least in locations where there are defined seasons.)

These are just a few examples of the laws that govern earthly reality.

You cannot manifest any of these laws away using the Law of Assumption.

Here are the current limits of the Law of Assumption, as I see it:

You can’t change ethnicity. I’m clearly a white woman. I’m not going to be able to change my DNA and become a black woman or a Chinese woman, no matter how much I may want it or visualise it.

You can bring the dead back if they’ve just died from a heart attack or drowned 10 seconds ago but you can’t bring the dead back once they’re verifiably dead for a while & buried or cremated (although you can commune with them in their non physical form.) The only way currently you can permanently reunite with the dead is to join them in the non-physical realm, which is obviously not recommended unless you want to lose your life.

You can’t change species. No woman can give birth to an animal of another species nor can any of us grow wings and fly.

You can’t defy gravity, at least not at this particular moment in time with our current technological capabilities.

The body is capable of miraculous feats of healing, and almost every part of the body (including organs) can be regrown or regenerated but no-one who was born without a limb has ever grown one. (I’m not saying that this will never be possible in the future, but right now it appears not to be.)

There are also the limits of particular physical attributes (such as height and age) that you may need to work within.

For example, I am 5ft tall and pushing 40, with no experience or training as an athlete. It’s unlikely that I’m about to start a career as the world’s most talented NBA player.

Likewise, your 100 year old great-grandmother is unlikely to break the women’s 100m sprinting world record.

I can’t believe any of the above needs stating and that people would argue these points, but there we go.

Yes, Neville Goddard said anything is possible BUT Law of Assumption teachers such as Neville and Joseph Murphy never talked about bringing the dead back or jumping off cliffs and defying gravity. They qualified “anything is possible” with talk of manifesting ordinary things, such as a job, improved health, money or love.

    • Have a ruptured relationship with a loved one that seems like it will never be restored? You can reconcile and heal the relationship – anything is possible
    • Been homeless and on the street for 10 years? You can manifest a home and even live in great luxury if you want to, in the future – anything is possible
    • Have a dis- ease that you’ve been told you can’t heal from? You can regain your health – anything is possible
    • Aged 80 and never had a romantic relationship before? You can find a partner if you want one – anything is possible.

Those are the sorts of seemingly unlikely or impossible outcomes I believe they were referring to.

It’s fine to be excited about the Law of Assumption and its possibilities, but the best use of this Law is to make your 3D life better, not to attempt to defy the other spiritual laws and laws of nature. We each have an allotted amount of energy available for conscious (or unconscious) creation each day. For the most part, using this energy in an attempt to defy the other laws that govern earthly reality, is a waste of energy.

P.S. I predict that we’re a long way from being able to resurrect the dead or switch species using technology, but having said that, there may be some value in manifesting technologies that we require and that are currently not in existence (and perhaps this was also a part of what the book of Mark was referring to, where it is stated that “all things are possible to him who believes”.) So, for example, if you were born without a limb and want to grow one yourself, it might be worthwhile to focus on the technologies that may be in the pipeline to do that.

  • Why I Don’t Believe in Spiritual Enlightenment as an Ideal to Strive For

Why I Don’t Believe in Spiritual Enlightenment as an Ideal to Strive For

I was sitting in a pub with a group of house sitting friends a few years back (when I was still travelling the world and house sitting full time.)

One of them mentioned the spiritual website I had (the others at the table weren’t aware of what I did for a living) and said “Come on, Anna, don’t pretend you’re not an enlightened being.”

Their comment was sweet, but it reflected one of the misconceptions about people who teach spiritual modalities.

    That we are enlightened.

Or that enlightenment exists as a state that one can permanently enter.

    Is any state ever permanent?

I don’t believe enlightenment exists as a permanent state, but only as a temporary state of high brain-heart coherence, and the joy and bliss that arises out of that.

I certainly believe in amassing wisdom over multiple earthly lifetimes. However, through my studies in past life regression, I’ve also seen that evolution and the amassing of wisdom isn’t linear. In one lifetime, we may be wearing a “costume” of an “unenlightened” person. As an example, maybe we struggle with substance addiction and never reach our potential. Then in another lifetime maybe we have amazing talents, and we fully reach our potential. Maybe we even teach others to do so, and we are held up as an example. But I don’t believe we ever truly “arrive” on a spiritual level. We’re in a constant, non-linear journey of remembering who we are on the soul-level – pieces of the Divine, or units of the wider higher consciousness.

In my experience (after 16 years in the spiritual field), enlightenment is often used as a way to control spiritual seekers and gain authority over others.

One of my teachers back in 2010 had a public list of enlightened people, where she used her intuitive abilities to assess who was enlightened and who wasn’t.

According to her previous students, this woman ran a cult where she would excommunicate any followers who challenged her authority or disagreed with her, even on minor things.

She claimed she was enlightened, and anyone whose politics or ideas she disagreed with were slammed as low vibrational and unenlightened. It was effectively a list of people she liked and disliked, but her followers put it on a pedestal as a source of truth, and she claimed that as an enlightened person, only she had the ability to discern who was truly enlightened.

This teacher had some great ideas and techniques to teach, but by the time I found her enlightenment list, I realised this was someone I could no longer learn from.

I have also seen similar teachings from David Hawkins (who wrote Power vs Force.)

Power vs Force is a popular spiritual book that has many interesting insights in it. Where I disagree with this book is that a scale or hierarchy exists and an individual’s vibrational state can be accurately measured on a scale. I’ve found that a person’s state of consciousness can vary throughout their lifetime and it can even vary from one day to the next (ever had a noticeably bad day where you felt crappy, relative to the kinds of days you normally have? If so, you were in a different and possibly “lower” state of consciousness that day.)

Dr David Hawkins also held himself up as an enlightened being who was the only one capable of accurately assessing who was enlightened and who wasn’t. Interestingly, as an avid consumer of Fox News, many of the politicians on the American political right (such as George W Bush) were considered high vibrational people who were on their way to enlightenment, according to him.

Talk of enlightenment has become a red flag for me.

For these reasons, if anyone claims to be enlightened or offers to teach me “enlightenment”, I run away in the opposite direction very fast because it is a sign of someone who is (consciously or unconsciously) fond of hierarchical spiritual groups and seeking to place themselves high up in that group.

Instead of holding enlightenment as an ideal, I prefer self-realisation and the fulfilment of one’s earthly potential.

The only yardstick I use to assess spiritual ideas is: does applying them make my 3D world better in some way? Am I happier and healthier?

If so, I like these teachings.

That’s why I like intuitive development (because tapping into the spiritual realm gives me tremendous emotional and spiritual support.)

And also why I like the Law of Assumption (to manifest new outcomes in the 3D and improve my mental/emotional state while I’m at it.)

But the pursuit of enlightenment isn’t for me. And please don’t call me enlightened either. I’m a work in progress and a lifelong spiritual student who is teaching what I’ve learned in the past.
