In this article, I’m going to share the most common signs of an energetic money block that has its origins in a past life. Or, as it’s more commonly known on my blog, a past life karmic complex that is affecting you in the area of money.
If you have enough money in your life and you’re financially comfortable, this article probably won’t be of interest to you. But if you’re in the situation where you could use more money in your life, keep reading to see whether this energetic issue could be affecting you.
First of all, I want to address the elephant in the room, which is that there are systemic conditions in place making things economically difficult.
Yes, there are people hoarding large amounts of wealth that they don’t need, meaning there’s less money to go round.
Yes, house prices are insanely high in many countries, scuppering many young peoples’ chances of getting on the property ladder.
Yes, prices have gone up a lot over the last 5 years.
But there are people out there who are financially comfortable and doing OK, in spite of that. They sometimes find ways to avoid or work around these problems, or they remain unaffected by them.
We can’t fix the wider systemic issues singlehandedly. We can only fix things for ourselves singlehandedly, and that’s what this article is about.
Here are some signs you came into this life with a karmic complex that is affecting you in the area of money.
(And just a reminder that a karmic complex is a wound originating from a trauma that took place in a past life. The wound is usually connected to some kind of defeat, and as a result the past life self comes to a certain traumatised conclusion about what happened. This sets up an energetic block in the energy field that is taken from one life to the next until it is resolved. This block has negative beliefs, thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and behaviours connected to it. The nature of trauma is to repeat itself in a bid to seek resolution, so it can also bring echoes of the past life trauma in our lives once again.)
Here are the signs that you have one of these blocks affecting you in this lifetime, in the area of money:
1. You earn good money but you spend all of it
Maybe unforeseen things happen to you in life, and you have no choice to spend all the money you make. For example: medical crises, broken down cars or expensive issues with property.
Or maybe your life is too stressful, you enjoy spending and it gives you a lift, and so you end up without any savings.
Perhaps you dislike negotiation and you always accept the first thing you’re offered in terms of a salary or a purchase price.
Or you have a particular expensive problem that keeps repeating itself.
Let’s look at the next common sign of a financial karmic complex:
2. You give your money away
One of the things I’ve often seen with karmic complexes is that people do receive money but if they have a karmic complex involving worthiness they’ll find someone they consider more worthy and pass that money onto them instead. Meanwhile, they were the one who really needed that money!
I remember seeing this with someone who had a small amount of equity on their only property they had just sold. Equity they very much needed in order to have housing security in their future as a middle aged person. And instead of keeping it, this person gave a good chunk of their money away to a snooty charitable organisation with someone at the helm who had personally treated them unkindly. And this organisation was not thankful and did not even need the money!
I know someone else who came into money, really needed that money and yet gave it all away to someone they knew who had an expensive addiction (that money was gone within weeks.)
People who have karmic complexes will often make decisions with money that don’t make sense. And then beat themselves up afterwards once they ‘come to’ and realise their mistake.
3. You know what you need to do to make money but you’re not doing it
This one probably applies most to people who have their own businesses. If you have had the same ‘to do’ items on your list for years (items that would increase your income) but you can’t bring yourself to do them, and you do need the extra income, you could have a karmic complex affecting you in the area of finances.
4. You live in fear when it comes to money
If you are consumed by a fear of not having enough money, this is a sign of a karmic complex. It’s normal to feel fear if the bank balance gets low and you don’t have savings, but if you stay in that place of fear and lack, and the bank balance never increases, you likely have a karmic complex connected to money.
5. You undercharge for your work and don’t ask for raises
This one applies if you know that your services or time are worth more, and you’re receiving less than others do for the same experience and comparable work. Yet, you can’t bring yourself to increase your rates or ask for more. Doing so would make you feel guilty or bad for those who can’t afford to pay you. This is often indicative of a karmic complex resonating with unworthiness.
6. You attract financial exploitation and users
For example:
- People in your life borrow money from you and don’t repay it
- You have a partner who doesn’t sufficiently contribute financially or to the household, despite being able to
- You have a business partner who takes advantage
- You have a long history of being overcharged and scammed.
The pattern here is that you do make money, but others benefit from your money, and you don’t.
You might also be surrounded by jealous people who think they are entitled to a slice of what you’ve got.
7. You’re financially successful but feel constant anxiety it will disappear
In this scenario, there is no lack of money. But there is an inability to enjoy the money, an anxiety that it won’t last, and a feeling of lack that is not matched by the reality of your financial situation.
In short, you have success and/or wealth, but you don’t have peace. This is also a sign of a financial karmic complex.

In my next article, I’m going to go into how financial karmic complexes manifest in practice. How do they get established, and how do they still affect souls, sometimes many lifetimes later? And how can they be fixed?
In my upcoming articles, I will present case studies to demonstrate how all of this works in reality.
PS. I am currently running a sale on my Evolutionary Manifesting readings. The sale will end on 15th November at 10pm EST.
My full, extended readings are being offered at $205 off and my shorter readings at $50 off.
The wait time is 9 weeks and most of these readings will be completed over the Christmas holidays (I only take a couple of days of the holidays off work!)
