Before I go into the 3 signs you have an Akashic Records Spirit Guide and what that means for your soul’s path and purpose in this lifetime, I just want to clarify some key terms…

What are the Akashic Records?

The Akashic Records are an energetic repository of information about souls, places, objects, animals, businesses and more! Everything that exists here on Earth has a file in the Akashic Records. You could think of it like a ‘cosmic Google’, but one that not everyone naturally accesses. The Akashic Records contain so much information that it can be overwhelming.

If you think about walking into a big library, a University library, for example, you know you want to research something in particular, but you don’t know where it is. You’re going to need to ask a librarian. That’s what it’s like in the Akashic Records — you need a guide — someone to help you find either your own soul’s ‘book’ or someone else’s. We call this book which contains the story of a soul since the beginning of time, the ‘soul record’. Everyone has a soul record in the Akashic Records. 

So, the soul record has many chapters and many pages. Rather than sitting there and flipping through every page of this enormous book (with no idea how to find the info we need), what we can do instead is ask an Akashic Record Spirit Guide a particular question and then they will find the relevant chapter and page of the soul record, which contains the answer, and they’ll relay the answer to us. 

In the Akashic Records, we can ask questions like the following ones (about ourselves or about someone else):

• How many past lives has my soul had on Earth?
• Have I had more male or more female lifetimes?
• Tell me about the past life that is impacting most on my present life experience
• Which primary life lesson is my soul learning in this lifetime?
• What is the role my soul is very comfortable with and has gone back to time and again in past lives?
• What is my soul’s purpose?
• What are my soul’s gifts?

If you do a course to read the Akashic Records (such as my Akashic Record Reading Program), you will be assigned an Akashic Record Spirit Guide, so that you can find the answers to such questions quickly and easily. I do a ceremony for you and ask for you to be assigned such a guide so that you can read for others or for yourself in the records.

But, you don’t always need a teacher (like me) to assign you a guide in this way

Sometimes Spirit assigns you an Akashic Record Spirit Guide when you didn’t ask for it, and maybe you are not even consciously aware of it.

Here are some signs this is the case — that you have an Akashic Record Spirit Guide even though you perhaps have never studied in this area and never done an Akashic Record reading for anyone!

1. You’ve often dreamt of being in a library with spiritual beings (or you have had at least one memorable dream of this kind)

Many of my previous Akashic Record Reading Program students have told me that they have regularly dreamed of being in a library setting, studying or reading with other souls. 

This library is a universal spiritual symbol for the Akashic Records and it usually means your astral self has spent time in the records while you were asleep and out of your body. 

Let’s have a look at the second sign…

2. You’re a psychic who has never formally trained in reading the records, and you have never been assigned an Akashic Record Spirit Guide but you sometimes retrieve the following for your clients:

• Past life stories
• Info on soul gifts
• Info on a soul’s purpose
• Info on life lessons

Getting info like this for clients usually means you have an Akashic Record Spirit Guide on your team, whether you’re aware of it or not.

Now onto the next sign:

3. The third sign you have been assigned an Akashic Record Spirit Guide is that you have channelled a guide who appears to be in a library setting or maybe you keep seeing the inside of a library when you meditate 

Perhaps you have managed to make a connection to a Spirit Guide, and you get the sense that your guide is a librarian or is in a library setting. Maybe you ‘see’ this clairvoyantly or you just know that your guide has some kind of connection to a cosmic or energetic library. 

If you have channelled or seen in meditation a guide who presents as a librarian, this is a sure sign that you do in fact already have an Akashic Record Spirit Guide. 

So, what does it mean if you have an Akashic Records Spirit Guide?

There are a few possibilities…

#1: First of all, it could mean that in between lifetimes, you’ve been a ‘life review counsellor’ on the other side. 

For example, all souls if they cross over fully to the other side will get what is called a ‘life review’ once a lifetime is over. A life review is a chance to see the events of the lifetime, like a slideshow of key scenes at a minimum. 

The life review also allows the soul to experience the events of their lifetime from the point of view of all souls involved. They get to feel the impacts of their actions, both positive and negative.

It is the beings in the Akashic Records who facilitate this life review — because this information for the life review comes from the Akashic Records.

And occasionally, I’ve read for clients who have had this role in the Akashic Records between earthly lifetimes – they facilitate life reviews for other souls and help and counsel them to integrate what they see and experience. 

(I actually have this training myself which may explain my work in this area!)

I call the souls who have engaged in this type of activity between lifetimes ‘life review counsellors’.

Life Review Counsellors are beings who help us with our life review when our incarnation is over.

When you die, you obviously shed the physical body. You will also begin to shed certain human aspects such as any negativity or pain you were holding. Sometimes this healing lasts several days (or longer) in linear Earth time. This healing is part of the wider process of embodying everything that you learned in your lifetime and integrating all your experiences into the fabric of your soul. The negative falls away and the learning and wisdom remains.

The Life Review also plays a strong role in the spiritual ‘shedding’ and ‘integrating’ process that occurs after death. During the life review, the soul reviews the experiences of the lifetime that has just ended. The soul will often replay and relive particularly important scenes of the lifetime, like watching a movie. The soul can also experience certain life events from the perspective of another soul who was involved in the situation.

For example, let’s say that during your life you caused great pain and suffering for someone. As part of your life review you will get the opportunity to experience the situation from the point of view of the person who was hurt. By doing this you have the opportunity to learn more and reach a greater understanding of your role in the situation and of the consequences of your actions.

The Role of the Life Review Counsellors

As part of the life review, souls come into contact with Life Review counsellors who can help them to evaluate what they learned in their most recent lifetime. The Life Review counsellors hold a sacred space for the soul who is undergoing their life review. They do not advise nor do they purposely lead the soul towards a specific conclusion – instead their role is simply to help souls receive the learnings from the events of the lifetime that has just gone.

What this means for who the client is now:

It probably won’t surprise you to hear that clients who have previously held the role of Life Review Counsellor are natural born counsellors! These people are great listeners. They can help people to see their patterns and life lessons just by holding a sacred space and listening. Other people will instantly trust these souls (even if they have only just met!) and will open up to them about their issues and life story, often in the most unlikely of places – at the bus stop, in the supermarket, or on aeroplanes! They really excel at holding a clear, non–judgmental space for others to reflect upon and discuss their lives.

This is an excellent soul training to have for career roles such as psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, counsellors, professional intuitives and other roles that involve helping others to heal emotionally and come to terms with their life events.

So, in summary, souls who have served in this way on the ‘other side’ have been involved in an activity that also involves working with the Akashic Records. If you are a life review counsellor, it’s also likely you’ll have an Akashic Record Spirit Guide who is on your Spirit Guide team, whether you read for others in this lifetime or not.

#2: If you have an Akashic Record Spirit Guide, another possibility is that you’re in what I call a ‘karma clean up’ lifetime

This means that you came into this life with karmic complexes and part of your path in this lifetime is to become aware of your past lives and their impact on you, so you can clean those past life blocks up.

Therefore, your Akashic Record Spirit Guide could be feeding you info on your past lives, through channelling, dreams or spontaneous recall.

Signs you’re in a ‘karma clean up’ life include a fascination for past lives in general, and a lot of problems in this lifetime that you’ve had to work hard to overcome.

#3: Finally, if you become aware that you have an Akashic Record Spirit Guide, it could also mean that your purpose in this lifetime is to read the Akashic records and give readings to others (or perhaps just for yourself).

Students have sometimes told me before they signed up for my Akashic Records training, that they have dreamt of being in the Akashic Records and had met their Akashic Records guide in a meditation or a dream, long or shortly before they signed up. It seems that Spirit knows our plans months, years or lifetimes before we do.

It always blows students’ minds when the spirit guide they once saw or dreamt of, makes an appearance again when they start the course!
