I wanted to create an article about ‘old souls’ because there is a misconception floating around (in regards to what constitutes an old soul) that I wanted to correct.

Many people think that an old soul is someone who is very ancient and therefore has a lot of experience incarnating here on Earth. This is one type of old soul, but there is another type too, and in this article I’m going to go into the two types and their differences.

How do I know this?

I have amassed this knowledge through my work reading for people in the Akashic Records. When you read a person’s akashic soul record, you can gain very detailed information about the soul’s past. I’ve read for thousands of people over the years and so I’ve had the opportunity to see patterns over the years.

Let’s have a look at the first category of ‘old soul’:

The soul who has lots of experience on planet earth

Some souls have had hundreds of lifetimes on Planet Earth, and as a result they know their way around being incarnated as a human. Note that whether or not you’ve amassed hundreds of lives here on Earth will depend largely on your soul group of origin.

The soul group of origin is the ‘place’ that your soul chose for its first several incarnations, as a new soul. On the soul level, we tend to be heavily influenced by the place(s) we choose for our formative incarnations and they become a part of us.

Here are the soul groups with a lot of experience on Planet Earth: the Mintakans, Sirians, some Blueprinter sub-groups, the Pleiadians, the Alpha Centaurians, the Hadarians and the Polareans.

What Most Defines this Type of Old Soul:

EARTHLY EXPERIENCE + ETHEREAL WISDOM. They tend to be quite streetwise. They know how things work here on earth. They tend to be more adaptable, independent, and courageous than souls without the same experience. If you come across someone who is courageous enough to, for example, travel overseas alone, or strike out on their own as a self-employed person, that person is likely to be a more experienced soul in terms of earthly lifetimes. They have experience that they can draw on from past lives and this experience gives them skills, knowledge and confidence.

They have often tasted many religious paths, and have come to spirituality because they have evolved beyond the rules and dogma of religion — they’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt.

They’ve been all of it. They’ve been: the mother, the farmer, the warrior, the poor person, the rich person, the prostitute, the sociopath, the patriarch, the merchant, the child who dies in infancy, the leader of the tribe, the upstanding pillar of society, the criminal, the artist, the outcast, the priest and the healer.

Because they’ve been all of it, they can often mentor others on their path. They can easily put themselves in other peoples’ shoes & understand other peoples’ paths and points of view.

Because this type of soul has extensive experience living on earth, they also have a lot of experience dying! They have crossed over many times, under many different circumstances. They tend not to be afraid of death — not living their life fully is likely to be a greater fear for these souls than death. They tend to cross over quickly and without needing help from angels or the Third Order. They can also be quite easy to connect with (in terms of mediumship) once they’ve passed away.

Let’s have a look at the second type of ‘old soul’:

The soul who has lots of experience elsewhere, in places of incarnation that aren’t planet Earth.

What Most Defines this Type of Old Soul:

ETHEREAL WISDOM.

They are high-vibrational beings who often feel out of place here.

These are soul groups like: the Parallel souls, the Mission Realmers, the Alpha Caelians, the Nihal souls, and the Arcturians. They bring high-vibrational energies that the earth needs, like for example, the Parallels brings the energy of freedom, the Alpha Caelians bring the energy of sensitivity and the Nihal souls bring unconventionality.

These souls have spent many lifetimes in other non-earthly places of incarnation and they are just as ancient as the other category, but they don’t have extensive experience incarnating here on earth. As a result, they may struggle a bit more than souls who belong to the first category do. They are less street-wise. They may not be as adaptable or adept at making things happen here but they can still bring through some high-vibrational energies that can help us earth dwellers on our path. I often read for souls who fall into this second category.
