A student (who is doing my Akashic Record Reading Program) recently asked me:

Would it benefit me as an Akashic Record reader to train in astrology?

Would reading a client’s natal chart add another dimension to my Akashic Record readings?

In this article, I’m going to talk about the connection between astrology and the Akashic Records…

(Just a heads up that if you have no training in astrology, this article may not make sense to you — this is an article for those with at least a bit of a background in the topic!)

The natal chart in astrology is a reflection of what is contained within a person’s Akashic soul record and it can often yield similar results as an Akashic Record reading (but with some key differences…more on that below).

By reading a person’s astrological natal chart a very skilled and experienced astrologer (who also has training in evolutionary astrology – the branch of astrology that delves into the soul’s journey across lifetimes through the natal chart), can potentially tell clients about the points that we cover in Akashic Record readings, such as:

• Soul gifts
• Past lives
• Soul purpose
• Life lessons.

BUT there are three key differences here between the 2 modalities that are worth noting:

The first one is that giving Akashic Record readings (the way I teach them) is simpler and easier than giving an astrology natal chart reading. To do a good job with an Akashic Record reading requires less skill and experience.

Here is what Google says about becoming a proficient astrologer and how long it takes:

“Becoming a proficient astrologer is a lengthy process, typically taking years of dedicated study and practice. While some individuals can grasp the basics in a few months, achieving accuracy and intuitive understanding can take 5-10 years or even longer, depending on the individual’s learning pace and dedication. Some sources suggest that achieving a level of expertise where you can effectively advise clients might take up to 20-30 years.”

That timeline estimate might be a bit on the long side, but all the same, I don’t think anyone is going to become a proficient astrologer in a matter of months.

By contrast, it typically takes my students a few months to get to the point where they can give a good Akashic Record reading. And it will never take them years.

It requires more skill, experience and time for an astrologer to be able to hit the main points in an astrology reading that an Akashic Record reading will typically include. It also definitely takes strong intuition. It will probably also require some training and experience in evolutionary astrology in order to get the kind of detail that an Akashic Record reader can get in an Akashic Record reading.

The second key difference between the two modalities (Akashic Record reading and astrology)…

…Is that astrology will yield information on soul gifts, but it doesn’t necessarily tell the client where those gifts come from.

So, for example, a natal astrology reading might tell you that you have a communication or teaching soul gift but it won’t usually tell you that you have this gift because you belong to a particular soul group of origin. In essence, an astrology reading will often successfully highlight the gift but not the reason it exists.

An Akashic Record reading on the other hand will usually tell you where the gift came from and why you have it.

The third difference: clear-cut information

An Akashic Record reading will provide very clear-cut information on the various points. For example, there are 88 life lessons that I know of that a soul can be learning in any given lifetime, although most souls will be learning a few at a time. When Akashic Record readers get information on a client’s life lessons, it’s clear cut and simple – the primary life lesson is going to be one of those 88 life lessons and it usually won’t take less than a minute to ascertain which one it is.

Astrology readings on the other hand involve weighing up different aspects and factoring everything in to come to a conclusion – in my experience, it’s more complicated (and more work) to come to the same end result.

Case Study + Examples

I’m going to take the example of my natal chart and demonstrate how it is reflected in the soul profile that is reflected in my Akashic soul record.

My soul profile

• I am a Sirian soul, by origin (you can read about the Sirian soul group here.)
• My Archangelic realm of training is the third realm. This is the realm of balance, beauty, aesthetics, harmony, elegance, perfection and justice. (The Archangelic realm of training is an energetic ‘place’ that all souls train in before they incarnate on Earth in order to be transmitters of certain energies once they arrive here.) The Archangelic realm is reflected in the approach that we bring to our lives and our work. Having the third realm of training means my soul brings the energies of balance, justice and aesthetics – I’m often told my website is beautiful (although I did not personally design it!) and the content I provide is ‘grounded’ or balanced, so my realm of training is quite reflected well in my work.
• My main life lessons are moderation and power (you can read about the life lesson of moderation here. Power as a life lesson I haven’t written about much on my blog.)
• One of my archetypes is ‘communicator’, which indicates a life purpose involving imparting information and a soul past that has involved developing communication skills. (No doubt my work on this website is a continuation of this!)
• I have a secondary ‘Godspark’ at the throat chakra, which also indicates a life purpose involving communication and teaching. Here is some info on secondary Godsparks (scroll down to point #2 – about one quarter down the page – to read the info on secondary Godsparks).

How this is reflected in my natal chart

1. Aesthetics and balance

I have Libra rising, which has a very similar energy to the third Archangelic realm of training that I described above. (Souls who have libra rising are lovers of beauty, elegance and harmony.)

In addition, Venus is the most prominent planet in my natal chart, which also reflects the third Archangelic realm of training.

2. Communication soul purpose

My north node is in Gemini (in the 9th house). Here is some info online about that:

“Individuals with the North Node in Gemini in the 9th House are meant to embark on an expansive journey of self-discovery through education, travel, and intellectual pursuits. They thrive when they embrace their intellectual curiosity and explore a variety of belief systems and cultures. This placement encourages them to communicate their philosophical and spiritual insights, promoting a sense of open-mindedness and adaptability. Their life purpose often involves sharing knowledge and widening their horizons through global experiences.”

This Gemini north node is reflected both in my communicator archetype and in the secondary Godspark that I have at the throat chakra.

3. ‘Power’ life lesson

Pluto is in my first house, which indicates there has been/will be some learning in this lifetime around the theme of personal power.

4. Futuristic, progressive energies

My sun sign is Aquarius. The energy of the Sirian soul group is quite an aquarian one in that Sirians have a strong desire for spiritual evolution and progress.

5. Past lives

I can see by reading my Akashic Records that in my past lives there has been a very strong connection to nature and the land & many farming lifetimes. I come from a family of gardeners and farmers. This is reflected in my Taurus moon.

These kinds of parallels can be seen not just in my chart, but across the board for all clients.

Would it benefit astrologers to learn to read the Akashic Records?

Yes, potentially. Reading the Akashic Records would lead astrologers towards similar conclusions about a client and his/her life much more quickly and in a more clear-cut way, and provide extra details and additional information on where the soul gifts come from, as well.

However, whichever modality a practitioner chooses, both essentially will lead to the same kinds of information.
