  • 1 More Common Mistake People Often Make When Clearing Karmic Complexes

In my last two articles, I talked about karmic complexes and how if we have one active, they often prevent us from healing, changing our lives and manifesting our desires in life.

Here are those articles. I recommend you go and read them before continuing on with this one:

In the articles linked to above, I explained how important it is (if we do have a past life complex) to fully neutralise that karmic complex in order to truly create change in life.

In this article, I want to go into an additional potential pitfall on the path of healing that I haven’t mentioned yet. This is something we do need to bear in mind when clearing a karmic complex.

The common mistake I see people make is that they work on healing downstream consequences of the karmic complex but they never actually touch the complex.

Downstream consequences of karmic complexes include:

    • Present life soul loss/trauma
    • Earthbound spirits
    • Enmeshed earthbound spirits
    • Ancestral earthbound spirits
    • Unwanted influencing energy
    • Negative thought forms

This is not an exhaustive list of auric issues that can stop us from manifesting our desires, but these ones made my list because they are complications of karmic complexes that do not automatically resolve themselves when we clear a complex, and they usually need extra work. Any other auric issues not mentioned in this list tend to resolve spontaneously when we work with the karmic complex.

Example of a downstream issue of a karmic complex

I gave the example in my last article of the woman who had a complex of feeling not good enough and ‘second best’, when it came to romantic relationships. In the example I gave in the article, I mentioned that she had a ‘negative thought form’ (which is a repeated negative thought, like a negative affirmation that has taken up residence in her auric field) that all men are looking to cheat and are bad people.

That negative thought form is an example of a downstream consequence of a karmic complex, and it should be cleared at the same time we work on the complex, or afterwards.

Another example of a downstream consequence is an earthbound spirit attachment. We attract earthbound spirits that reflect our own karmic issues. For example, if you have anxiety and you attract in an earthbound spirit, that spirit will also likely resonate with fear and anxiety.

Healing downstream consequences of karmic complexes is not going to shift the complex.

So, if you work a lot on clearing auric issues but you never see any change or healing happening, it is probably because you’re not getting to the crux of the matter — which is the karmic complex.

If you’re doing soul retrieval with a shaman to gather soul fragments that you lost in this life, but you are not looking at your past life complex or aware of what it is, you’re not getting to the root.

My late past life regression mentor Dr Coletta Long taught the following:

“A painful and fearful childhood is an indication of an even more painful and fearful past life. The roots of the present painful experiences are in a past life. Your childhood experiences are like the strings that lead to the ball of yarn.”

What happens to us in this life doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

What we are living through in this present life is an effect of all we have done, said, thought and felt in past lives. The mechanism through which these things come back to haunt us is through our subtle energy bodies because these are not ‘wiped clean’ from one lifetime to the next. We attract our lives according to the contents of our energy field, which is a repository of all that we have experienced in our previous lives, good and bad.

What we see around us in this life is a faithful reflection of all that we have experienced and done up to this point in the life of our soul.

If we want to change what is showing up in our lives, we need to change the contents of our energy bodies. Our energy body can contain karmic complexes and their downstream issues. And if we’re only clearing the downstream surface issues, but never getting to the root, we’re not actually creating any change.

And if we’re healing things in the wrong order, that’s a mistake, too.

Downstream issues should not be healed before the complex is healed.

This applies especially to enmeshed and ancestral spirits (these are both complications of karmic complexes.)

Enmeshed earthbound spirits are covered here.

Ancestral spirit attachments are ancestors who are either haunting our family line, with their unresolved issues (and they can speak to us through our genetics, biologically). Or they can be spirit attachments that are attached to either us or another family member.

Not all karmic complexes have a strong ancestral component, but many do.

So, again if you’re doing ancestral healing and you’re not looking at why you have the ancestral karma that you do, you’re not getting to the root of what you need to heal. You may be gaining insight on your family’s issues and helping souls to cross over, but if you’re not addressing the karmic complex, you’re not changing what is in your own energy field and what you’re actually broadcasting (and manifesting in your life). You are missing an opportunity to do deep karma clearing that is going to allow you to change what is showing up in this life and it will even change the nature of your future lifetimes.

We choose to incarnate into families that reflect our own karmic patterns. This is by design. This means that our families bring us up a certain way that impacts on us negatively, and so the karmic issues we’re carrying come into our lives again. This is so that we can resolve them and heal them.

When I was working on my own past life complex, I became aware of many ancestors who were haunting my family line and who had passed on their issues and beliefs to my family.

One of them was Ida Sayce, my maternal great-grandmother.

I changed my surname to hers back in 2012 (I won’t go into why I did that because it’s a long story).

Some of my readers thought my name change was something to do with Edgar Cayce, the Akashic Records channeller (because I’m an Akashic Record reader) but Sayce was actually my great-grandmother’s married surname and it’s from the Welsh “sais” — it means Englishman and most of the people with this name live in England, near the Welsh border.

Ida died in the 1950s from complications of multiple sclerosis. After I took on her name in 2012, my health got a lot worse.

I became aware that she was with me around 2015 when she came through in a mediumship reading. The lights in my house had been flashing on and off the week before the reading and the medium mentioned it and told me it was my maternal great-grandmother making that happen. Ida also came through to mediums when I visited spiritualist churches.

By 2021 I had also developed autoimmune issues (not multiple sclerosis but something along those lines) and was quite ill. The illness was very intertwined with the ancestral karma and my own karmic complex.

I had to heal the karmic complex to let go of the illness. Then I did some ancestral psychopomp work on both sides of the family.

After I healed from the illness, Ida told me she was moving on. I felt a sense of completion, and that in healing my own illness, it had a ripple effect backwards and forwards in the family line. Healing the ancestors was another layer of freeing myself up from old patterns.

In my Evolutionary Manifesting course, I teach students to check for not only karmic complexes but also downstream auric issues (like ancestral influences) which are preventing the manifestation of desired outcomes. Then we get guidance on how and when to clear them.

PS. A tip for identifying your own karmic complex if you think you have one: look at the issues your ancestors, parents, grandparents, etc, created for you in your life. These will often reflect your own complex(es) in some way.

Part 4 in this article series on karmic complexes and downstream auric issues can be found here.

  • Common Pitfalls of Contemporary Manifesting Teachings (and how to avoid them)

In my last article, I talked about karmic complexes — deep patterns of thought, feeling and belief in the auric field (originating from past lives) that can cause energetic misalignments to manifesting our desires.

(Not all conscious creators will have a karmic complex, but many of the people I’ve worked with have.)

If you haven’t read that article, I recommend you go read it for some extra background before you continue with this one.

In this article, I want to go into karmic complexes in more detail and the mechanics of how they can prevent some of us from manifesting our desires.

This is what it’s like manifesting your desires when you have a karmic complex

(This is a composite of a couple of real cases.)

Let’s say that a young woman is manifesting a life partner but came into this life with a powerful karmic complex around not feeling good enough. She feels ‘second best’.

In multiple past lives she has been the ‘other woman’ in an affair, and she has accepted that scenario repeatedly. Maybe in her most recent lifetime she was killed because she was having an affair with someone.

In this life, her first boyfriend cheated on her then left her for someone else. In multiple relationships, she’s discovered she was in fact not in a legitimate relationship as she thought, but the other woman. The men who show up in her world seeking a relationship with her are often partnered and looking to cheat.

If she delves into her family tree/ancestral patterns, she may find affairs all over the place and dysfunctional romantic relationships (we tend to incarnate into families which echo our own past life karmic complexes.)

She also has negative thought forms that have taken up residence in her auric field (negative thought forms are repeated patterns of negative thought — like negative affirmations — that we repeat. We can take them from the collective consciousness or create them ourselves.)

Her negative thought forms centre around the idea that all men are bad people and looking to cheat, because this has been her experience.

This karmic complex is active on multiple levels of her energy field — in the mental body (with the thoughts and beliefs attached to it), in the emotional body (with the feelings attached to it), and in the etheric body (where the wound/original trauma is centred), and it may also have manifested in the physical body as physiological dysfunction or illness.

So, all of this busy stuff is going on on the level of her auric field. People are going to perceive it unconsciously as “negative vibes” and respond to her accordingly. She doesn’t know she’s sending out negative vibes (our karmic complex is like the water we are ‘swimming’ in and we aren’t usually aware of it.)

Now let’s look at what happens when this woman with a deep karmic complex around being ‘second best’ manifests a life partner.

First of all, she’s probably going to be skeptical of conscious creation because she will quite rightly sense that it isn’t going to work for her.

But if she does get as far as using techniques (and let’s say that she uses positive affirmations), within days she can set up a positive thought form in her auric field that she is happily partnered.

The energy that goes into setting up the positive thought form goes to waste because it is being contradicted by the many other negative things she is broadcasting energetically.

Positive affirmations are not going to erase any of the negative things she is broadcasting, although they may temporarily neutralise them. In my last article about karmic complexes, I used the metaphor of mowing over a ‘weed’ in your subconscious mind with positive affirmations, rather than pulling it out at the root.

The positive thought form “I’m in a happy relationship” and the negative thought form “all men are cheaters” are clashing. If she manages to manifest a relationship, it will be in alignment with her belief “all men cheat”.

She may be successful in manifesting a partner but it probably won’t be someone who is a very good partner to her.

With a karmic complex active, you may be able to manifest your desire, but either you won’t be able to sustain it, or you may in fact find after a little while that your manifestation is a lemon (this is the most common scenario.)

Through my experience working with clients, karmic complexes are one of the main pitfalls people encounter in conscious creation.

And if you have a karmic complex active in your energy field that is broadcasting the opposite of what you’re trying to manifest, you will need to neutralise it once and for all (and not just with daily positive affirmations).

We can overcome our karmic complexes (and now is the best time in human history to do it, in this Information Age). Our desires are the impetus needed to overcome any complexes which are holding us back on the soul level (and some souls struggle with the same karmic complex for lifetime after lifetime). For many of us, our soul’s purpose involves overcoming them and creating something different.

In my Evolutionary Manifesting course, which is coming out in the next few months, I teach people how to find out what they or a client are really broadcasting energetically. This course teaches a method to research any karmic complexes (for oneself or one’s clients) that are interfering with a desired intention.

Let’s look at some of the other problems with manifesting teachings (and how to avoid them)

    2. LOA coaches and teachers in ‘holiday lifetimes’

One of the things I’ve observed as an Akashic Record reader is that some people are here in what I call a ‘holiday lifetime’.

Having a holiday lifetime means that a soul has decided to put their karmic complexes or negative karmic patterns ‘on ice’ and have a lifetime where they are resourcing themselves on the earth plane & experiencing something positive that will be useful for a future incarnation.

These souls have usually had difficult incarnations back to back, and they need a break and a positive experience on the earth place this time around.

They don’t have karmic complexes active in their energy body and so they aren’t broadcasting anything that goes contrary to their desired intention. It’s not because they have transcended their karma, it’s that they have a life purpose which is not at all about cleaning up negative karma.

Some LOA teachers and coaches come from this place. They’ve never had to clean up karmic patterns or had energetic problems run really deep. They sometimes invalidate others who do and tell them just to “affirm and persist” because that’s what works for them. They don’t know they’re in a holiday lifetime, and they don’t know what a holiday lifetime is. They don’t know what a ‘karma clean up’ lifetime is either.

If you’ve struggled a lot in life, don’t learn from people who say that they manifested all their desires in a short time, with no struggle. This is not an impressive achievement for someone in a holiday lifetime and they will know very little about how to work with someone in a karma clean up lifetime.

Seek out manifesting teachings or communities with people whose path is similar to your own. Healing is unnecessary for people in holiday lifetimes. It is totally necessary for people in karma clean up lifetimes (aka people who have brought through karmic complexes) in order to manifest their desires.

My Evolutionary Manifesting course teaches readers to find out which type of lifetime you’re in or the kinds of lifetimes your clients are in (this is something that can be researched in the Akashic Records.)

People need conscious creation techniques that are right for the type of lifetime they’re in, and this applies especially in the beginning of the journey.

Let’s look at the next common problem with contemporary manifesting teachings.

    3. Some people do not have the energy to manifest their desires or clear and neutralise their karmic complexes

To be able to clear a karmic complex that is preventing your desire from manifesting, you have to first be able to identify it (hard to do.) Then you need to choose the right modality to address it (there are only a few healing modalities that fully neutralise karmic complexes — most modalities only provide insight on the complex, make a dent in it or weaken it somewhat.)

But before you can neutralise a karmic complex, you need to have enough energy to do so.

Some of the Evolutionary Manifesting reading clients I’ve worked with have depleted energy fields. To manifest your desires, you need an energy field that is large, healthy and replete with energy that is flowing well. I have a scale that I use to measure the energy field and there is a certain place on that scale that you need to be at, at a minimum to manifest your desire or neutralise a karmic complex. (And this principle applies especially when a person is working full time or has many responsibilities, such as taking care of children.)

This puts some people in a catch-22 scenario because they don’t have enough energy to neutralise their karmic complex, but if they don’t neutralise the complex, they will have a harder time keeping their manifestation.

How do you build your energy field and amass energy to do all of this?

Through LOA techniques and other healthy living practices.

You can also build your energy field by cutting off negative thoughts and keeping a mental diet, although this can sometimes be an uphill battle for people with severe karmic complexes.

If you’re very depleted in your energy field and don’t have enough energy to manifest your desire, in order to build your energy field, you need different techniques from those that many LOA teachers recommend. For example, I don’t recommend Neville Goddard’s SATS technique for someone who is very depleted – it tends to create a lot of importance when people are doing it from that place.

In an Evolutionary Manifesting reading, we learn to measure the energy field, find out how much energy is available to create, and if it’s too low, the reasons for that. We also get guidance on how to increase energy, and a timeline of how long it will take to do so, before we have enough energy to either manifest our desire or neutralise our karmic complex. (We also talk about the techniques that work best for people who are very depleted.)

An Evolutionary Manifesting reading provides a timeline of the manifesting journey for the next 6-24 months based on where the client is right now.

Many people can manifest their desire within months following this process, but some people in an intense ‘karma clean up’ lifetime might have a more extended timeline.

This brings me to the next point…

    4. It’s not a good idea to use LOA techniques and use karma clearing work at the same time.

As mentioned, we must have the requisite energy before we can neutralise a karmic complex.

LOA techniques build energy and are high vibrational.

Healing work (or neutralising karmic complexes) is energetically depleting and it is low-vibrational work because it addresses wounding.

So if you do healing work and use LOA techniques at the same time, you’ll be using more energy and losing a lot of it to two modes of conscious creation that neutralise one another.

In the Evolutionary Manifesting modality, we get guidance around which one to do next, and how long for. And then which healing modality is needed to clear the karmic complex that is preventing the manifestation of our desire.

When clearing karmic complexes, you do have to be quite strategic about the modality you choose, because healing work depletes the energy field and is energetically “costly”. Once we have built our energy field through LOA techniques, we need to go straight to the modality that will fully neutralise the complex. We do not do years of therapy where we go over old negative stories that will deplete us. This wastes valuable energy and will not clear the complex. When we’re ready to clear a complex, we also do not use healing modalities that are particularly depleting but do not yield the result of fully neutralising our karmic complex.

An Evolutionary Manifesting reading will tell you what to do next, which modality is right for you, and will tell you the root causes of energetic depletion so that once you’ve cleared your karmic complex, you have the energy to manifest your desire.

Onto another point that Spirit tells me is important with this whole process…

    5. If you do healing work to neutralise a karmic complex, it’s better to do in a short burst, and then go straight to LOA techniques afterwards.

People should not be in ‘healing mode’ long term — this is too depleting.

Most people need to amass energy through LOA techniques and focus on positive energies, and then do a short burst of karmic complex neutralisation, and then move back to LOA techniques straight afterwards.

Some people make the mistake of sitting long term in the low-vibrational energy that clearing a karmic complex will bring into your life.

For example, if you do a past life regression, you may encounter traumas from past lives and that repressed-low vibrational energy will move to the forefront of your energy field temporarily as you do the work necessary to clear it. It is necessary low-vibrational energy that you’re sitting in, but you must move out of it in order not to stay there over an extended period. However, our instincts often take us further down the road of healing (because ‘like attracts like’ and we usually go in the direction of the state we’re already in.) We often feel like we have more healing to do, even when we don’t have the energy needed to do it.

That is why it’s necessary to follow healing work with LOA techniques, and it should happen straight away.

People with karmic complexes are like big ships on the ocean going in a certain direction. Neutralising a karmic complex will turn the ship round in another direction but often our ‘ship’ comes to a stop when we do that, because it took a lot of energy to turn around. So, at that point, we also need LOA techniques to actually fuel a move in a different direction.

The Evolutionary Manifesting modality provides a really clear and holistic roadmap out of unwanted circumstances and into the reality you want to experience. I believe it is one of the most sophisticated tools out there that we can use to help us get to the root of our problems in life, and resolve them for good, allowing us to truly manifest our desires — and keep them.

Unlike most contemporary manifesting teachings, it works for everyone — and not just those who are in holiday lifetimes.

Finally, how can you find out if you have a karmic complex?

I recommend that people simply start with LOA practices before considering karmic complexes.

But you will know you have a karmic complex if you have used manifesting teachings for a good while and you haven’t managed to manifest your desires, or change your state to something more positive. If you haven’t been able to keep up a regular conscious creation practice, that’s also a good sign.

I have further signs about halfway through this article. The harder your life has been, the more likely it is that you have a karmic complex.

How to get clues as to the nature of your karmic complex

The nature of the repetitive dreams and nightmares that people have in childhood will often give strong clues.

Someone whose child drowned in a lake in a past life may have nightmares in childhood about lakes.

If you were imprisoned in a past life, you may dream of being trapped in a room.

A man I read for who had a complex originating from a lifetime fighting in the Finnish Civil War throughout his childhood dreamt of fierce gun fighting.

Dreams in childhood will rarely shed light on the complex in its entirety, but they will often provide clues.

  • How Karmic Complexes Can Hinder Successful Conscious Creation (& What to do about it)

How Karmic Complexes Can Hinder Successful Conscious Creation (& What to do about it)

Over the last couple of months, I’ve been doing what I call ‘Evolutionary Manifesting’ readings for people.

    These readings answer the question:

“Why haven’t I yet manifested my desired outcome, and how can I change that?”

I decided to write a few articles about the most common reasons why my clients haven’t yet manifested their desired outcomes.

Karmic complexes is the main one.

What is a karmic complex and how does it hinder successful conscious creation?

To answer this question, I want to go into the story of Damien Echols.

Damien Echols was one of the ‘West Memphis Three’.

When he was 18, he was (along with two other men) convicted of the murder of 3 eight year olds (Steve Branch, Michael Moore and Christopher Byers) in West Memphis, Arkansas. He was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

The case was a miscarriage of justice and Echols was later released, but not before he had spent over 18 years on death row.

Damien Echols spent much of his time in prison meditating and towards the end of his incarceration, he used Law of Attraction/magick techniques to secure his freedom. He wrote a book about his experience doing this, entitled High Magick: A Guide to the Spiritual Practices that Saved my Life on Death Row. In particular, in the book he shared an affirmation that he used constantly towards the end of his imprisonment to manifest his freedom:

“May I be home, free from prison, living happily with my Lorri (his wife). May it come about in a way that brings harm to none and is for the good of all, and in no way let this reverse or bring upon me or my loved ones any curse.”

He stated that he and his wife focused on this affirmation every day and within one year, he was off death row.

It’s clear that conscious creation techniques can be used to reverse a whole variety of terrible situations.

But how does a person get on death row in the first place?

If we are to believe some conscious creation teachers, a person would end up on death row if they focused on the idea of it, or feared it subconsciously.

But how did an 18 year old Damien Echols end up achieving something like that — focusing so much on death row that he ended up there?

I don’t believe that ending up on death row is a result of where someone is putting their focus. Instead, after 17 years of practising as an Akashic record reader and working with the spirit world, I have come to believe that situations like these are down to karma.

In this article, I’m going to explain how karma interacts with the Law of Assumption and I’m also going to talk about how you can ensure karma is not messing with your conscious creation practices.

Many students and teachers in the conscious creation community do not like the idea of karma.

But the Law of Assumption itself is proof of karma. Karma is a Sanskrit word that simply means ‘action’ — it’s about choices and consequences. Every deed has a consequence. Every belief has a consequence. Thoughts have consequences — they can make us feel bad or they can make us feel good. There are consequences to everything we think, say, do and feel, and that is karma at work.

Karma underlies everything we experience here on earth and it underlies our soul’s path.

There are two types of karma that I want to talk about in this article.

The first type is justified karma. As souls, we are here to evolve our souls and raise the quality of our consciousness. Part of how we do this is by exploring certain ‘themes’ or life lessons. As part of that, we have experiences that are opposites of one another.

For example, in one life, if you do harm to a large group of people, the justified karma that results from that may see you becoming a healer in another life, helping the same group of people that you hurt in a past life.

Justified karma is a belief inherent to many religions, including Buddhism, Sikhism and Hinduism. It’s also mentioned in the Bible (…Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap – Galathians 6:7)

Judeo-Christian teachings have this idea that karma is about retribution, but that isn’t in alignment with my experiences reading for others and exploring my own past lives.

    Karma is about wholeness.

If you have the experience of mistreating someone in a past life, you will later experience what it is like to be mistreated in the same way (often by the same soul you mistreated). Here on earth, polarities reign — as souls, we learn empathy by experiencing situations from all angles.

Damien Echols’ situation could have been the result of justified karma — perhaps a debt that he was settling with other souls. But it’s also likely it was a result of unjustified karma, which I’ll cover next.

Unjustified karma (also known as a karmic complex) is the number one thing that hinders successful conscious creation.

Unjustified karma involves a past life karmic situation that has been rebalanced and is technically completed on the soul level, but which was so traumatic that it has created what is known in sanskrit as a Samskara — a karmic complex. Samskara means ‘groove’ and it is like a groove in a record, which replays a certain situation over and over. This is a wound from a past life that is present in the energy bodies.

One of the features of a karmic complex or samskara is that it is carried over from one lifetime to the next, until it is resolved. With a few exceptions, our energetic bodies are not cleaned or deleted from one lifetime to the next — instead we take the negative preoccupations and unresolved traumas we had from our most recent past life and we carry them into our next life.

(This belief is central to both Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism, and is also widely accepted in the field of past life regression.)

So, a karmic complex sits in the etheric body, it’s caused by a past trauma, and it has attitudes, beliefs, thoughts and feelings attached to it.

Karmic complexes cause unwanted situations in our lives, and they also cause compulsive behaviours.

There are varying severities with these karmic complexes — some are so severe that they can put us on death row or bring about other grave misfortunes. Others are relatively minor.

I can’t say for certain since I’ve not read for him, but it’s likely that Damien Echols had a karmic complex around his freedom or life being taken away, originating from a past life trauma. Karmic complexes involve powerful patterns of thought, feeling, behaviour and reactions that can cause us to manifest certain situations (that match the nature of the complex). Without some additional help from an existing karmic complex, it’s unlikely that a soul is going to be able to manifest something so terrible.

We don’t manifest only according to the contents of our subconscious mind. We also manifest according to the entirety of our subtle energy bodies (of which the subconscious mind is one part). And our energy bodies can contain complexes from past lives, causing us to broadcast the opposite of what we are intending. Our karmic complexes can also influence the kind of childhood we have.

Here are the outward signs that the soul has brought through into this lifetime a lot of karmic complexes to resolve:

    • Abusive parents or family
    • A high ACE score
    • Illness (although illness is not a reflection of negative past life karma in every case)
    • Pain and suffering (emotional, mental, spiritual, physical)
    • Depression and/or other mental health struggles
    • Addiction
    • Abuse
    • Bad luck and misfortunes that seem to come out of nowhere
    • Multiple cycles of things going really well in life and then losing it all, and having to start again
    • Financial struggles
    • Unfulfilling relationships
    • Loneliness
    • Feeling disconnected from one’s life purpose
    • Not enjoying life
    • Struggling to manifest one’s desires or to even keep up a conscious creation practice
    • A strong interest in past lives

Karmic complexes from past lives are the number one reason why some of my clients have not been able to manifest their desires.

Having an active karmic complex when you’re using conscious creation techniques is like having a lawn with weeds on it. You can use affirmations and other techniques to mow over the weeds and neutralise the complex, but if you stop using techniques, the weeds will come up again.

Many healing modalities alleviate karmic complexes somewhat but there aren’t many modalities and methods that fully neutralise karmic complexes. Some types of past life regression are really good at neutralising these types of complex. Revision is another good one for neutralising karmic complexes.

Note that you don’t usually need to do masses of work to neutralise a karmic complex from a past life — often, you just need to do enough to neutralise the complex that is impeding the manifestation of your desire in the 3D.

But first you need to know exactly which karmic complex you carry, and how it is impacting on your life, and your energy field. This is something I teach people to do, for themselves and for others.

A summary of points from this article:

    • Karmic complexes are wounds from past lives caused by trauma
    • They cause repetitive negative thoughts, emotions, behaviours, habits, and attitudes
    • Because they are traumas (and the essence of trauma is to try to find resolution) they set up a ‘repetition compulsion’ in our lives, where we keep manifesting the same unwanted situation over and over in an effort to experience a different result next time
    • In this way, karmic complexes often hinder successful conscious creation
    • Karmic complexes are also sometimes referred to as ‘unjustified karma’ or ‘samskara’
    • ‘Karmic complex’ is a term coined by Dr Roger Woolger, the late past life regressionist
    • Our energy bodies are not cleaned in between lives — we take on the same subtle energy bodies that we had in our last life
    • We manifest our lives according not only to the contents of our subconscious mind, but also according to the contents of our entire energy bodies (of which the subconscious mind is one part)
    • Karmic complexes can cause us to broadcast energetically the complete opposite of what we are intending
    • Not many healing modalities fully neutralise karmic complexes, although many will give insight into karmic complexes or make a dent in the complex. All healing modalities have value for the varying stages of the journey, but when it comes to full neutralisation of karmic complexes, you have to be quite strategic
    • My understanding of karmic complexes also comes from Patricia Walsh’s work – she wrote an interesting book entitled ‘Understanding Karmic Complexes’

Finally, I want to share a quote from Law of Assumption teacher and author Neville Goddard:

“Man and his past are one continuous structure. This structure contains all of the facts which have been conserved and still operate below the threshold of his surface mind. For him it is merely history. For him it seems unalterable — a dead and firmly fixed past. But for itself, it is living — it is part of the living age.

He cannot leave behind him the mistakes of the past, for nothing disappears. Everything that has been is still in existence. The past still exists, and it gives — and still gives — its results. Man must go back in memory, seek for and destroy the causes of evil, however far back they lie. This going into the past and replaying a scene of the past in imagination as it ought to have been played the first time, I call revision — and revision results in repeal.

Changing your life means changing the past.

The causes of any present evil are the unrevised scenes of the past.

The past and the present form the whole structure of man; they are carrying all of its contents with it. Any alteration of content will result in an alteration in the present and future.”

  • Manifesting Money? Take This into Account When Setting Your Intention

Manifesting Money? Take This into Account When Setting Your Intention

This is the first in a series of articles I am writing on how to manifest money. This article covers how to set a good money intention. (And in the next article, I will talk about how to actually manifest money.)

A while back, I wrote an article on how to set an intention when using the Law of Assumption to manifest a desired outcome. I also wanted to write an article on how to set an intention when you are manifesting money, because there are some extra considerations to take into account with this sort of intention.

With money intentions, you need to be specific

Sometimes when people set intentions, they are too vague about what they want. People often try to manifest “more money”, for example. But the Law of Assumption responds to you very literally, so you do need to be literal, explicit and specific in what you would like to manifest.

Let’s look at how you can formulate a money intention for best results.

How to Structure Your Money Intention

    1. Choose whether you are going to manifest a one-off sum or a consistent monthly income amount

In many cases, I recommend manifesting a consistent monthly amount since it is a source of ongoing income.

    2. Choose the amount

    Guidelines for the amount:

    • Choose an amount that feels somewhat exciting but doable for you
    • If you’re a beginner conscious creator, I don’t recommend manifesting more than a 50% increase in your income initially, if you have never made that kind of money before (if you have already made that kind of money in the past, go for it.)

For example, if you currently make $80,000 per year and you’ve never made more than that, I wouldn’t set an intention beyond making $120,000 per year.

Similarly, if it’s a one off sum you’re manifesting, I don’t recommend manifesting an amount that you’ve never had in your possession before and can’t imagine having.

For example, if your current annual income is $40,000 per year, you may not quickly be able to manifest an amount such as anything above $40k or $30k, unless you’ve had those kinds of bigger amounts come into your bank account before. If that’s not the case for you, I would recommend going for $1k or $5k or something in between those amounts and then once you’ve achieved success, do it again with a higher amount.

The successes will increase your momentum and make future manifestations easier.

    Here’s my reasoning behind that:

In my experience, most people who try to manifest large amounts or big jumps in income do not usually manifest what they desire quickly and they give up.

What happens when you set the intention to manifest a large amount or a big income is that you have to become the person who has that amount in their possession and the right self-concept and beliefs to keep it. For someone who is not currently that person, this could be a journey that takes a while and most people give up on the way.

As an example of this, see my blog post about Cynthia Stafford, a woman who won $112m on the lottery in 2007. She says she manifested this money and trained like an olympic athlete for 3 years ‘living in the end’. This is a fairly typical story for someone who is manifesting a big money intention. You have to put a lot of work in. The downside to manifesting a big amount like this is that it can take a long time and a huge amount of focus. Most people are not going to stick it out for years.

But if you go for a smaller amount, you’re more likely to reach your goal, and then you can use the principles of conscious creation to reach a new income goal. It’s better to manifest your desires in weeks or months (not years) and then re-use the process of conscious creation to increase your wealth further.

    3. Next, set any other conditions that are important to you

For example, you may also wish to add to your intention that you want this amount of money to come on part time hours e.g. no more than 20 hours per week.

Or you could state that you don’t want to work more than 40 hours per week, otherwise you may manifest the money you want but you could be working 80 hour weeks for it.

    So, be specific about that.

Alternatively, perhaps as an example you have an abusive boss and you want to exit that situation. In your intention, you will want to state that you make the money you want and you have a great boss.

    4. Decide why you want the money

Ask yourself what the money will be for. A money intention is almost never about the money. Instead it’s about what the money means to you.

Perhaps you want the money so that you can:

    • Spend more time with your children
    • Have more free time
    • Indulge in the luxuries of life
    • Travel
    • Save for a down payment on a house
    • Pay off debt
    • Sleep better at night and worry less about money
    • Be less exhausted by thinking about how you’re going to make ends meet this month
    • Have a more beautiful environment.

This step may not seem relevant at this point, but you need to know what you want the money for once you get into using Law of Assumption techniques, plus ideally you are going to weave your reason for wanting the money into the money intention. So, please explore that now.

So, by now you should have crafted an intention that is:

    1. Either a one off amount or a monthly income intention
    2. With an amount that isn’t going to take you a really long time to manifest (no huge amounts at this stage unless you have received/dealt with large amounts of money in the past)
    3. Perhaps with other conditions
    4. With a reason for wanting the money
    5. If you have a deadline for your intention, state that, too (I only recommend this if an external circumstance is forcing you to set a deadline — don’t impose one on yourself otherwise — I explain why here).

Here’s an example of a good money intention:

“I make $100,000 per year while working 30 hours per week. I have paid off my credit card debt and I am spending more time with my children.”

“I make $75,000 per year, and I have a new roof”

Note that if you want to make $75k per year so you can afford a new roof, don’t intend: “I make $75k per year so that I can buy a new roof”, instead it’s better to say: “I make $75k per year and I have a new roof.”

So, you are not only setting the intention for the money to come to you, but you’re also setting the intention for what you want to do with the money. Make sure your intention contains both.

To go through the steps to set your money intention, I recommend you use this article.

Additional Considerations when Setting a Money Intention

One of the things I’ve learned in the last few years about manifesting is that although you can manifest anything you want to, it is better to create intentions that come from a place of positivity. Your intention needs to be about what you are moving TOWARDS, not what you are moving AWAY from.

If you’re setting an intention because you want to move away from something, you are coming from a place of fear, and that fact will be reflected in your manifestation when it shows up. You can manifest intentions that come from a place of fear, but although you may get what you want, you will also create more fear in your life in doing so.

This is why manifesting money can be tricky. People often engage with money from a place of fear around survival. Money for many people is wrapped up in survival fears. But when you come at money from a place of fear, you will manifest more reasons to be fearful.

Dave Ramsey, a popular personal finance guru calls this ‘Murphy’s Law”, saying that anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and it always seems to happen when you’re least prepared. He has noticed that when people do not have a basic emergency fund, which he defines as $1000 USD, more disasters occur. Peoples’ cars break down and the roof needs repairing. Whereas if you have an emergency fund, you’ll notice things don’t go wrong quite as much. On the level of conscious creation, the reason for this is because when a person looks at a bank account that has nothing in it and they have a beater car that could break down at any time and they live paycheque to paycheque, they naturally feel fear. That fear will create more reasons in your 3D reality to be fearful, resulting in more financial disasters and scarcity.

So, for this reason I don’t recommend setting big money intentions when you’re in an unbearable situation or as a solution to a problem you’re having that is really bothering you. It often won’t work.

Instead, I recommend focusing on what you want instead of the problem you’re having, and manifest that.

So, for example let’s say that you have inconsiderate, noisy neighbours. I recommend you set an intention that you move into a place that is quiet and peaceful. Maybe you want to live in the countryside with no neighbours. Manifest this and give the Universe a chance to bring it to you in any number of ways. You could also manifest money at the same time, but as mentioned above, I recommend that you make your intention a double one (a quiet place to live + the money to have that.)

The mistake people make when they are in bad situations is that they try to manifest bigger intentions, such as a large windfall, and they’re very focused on the money they need to escape their situation. This often doesn’t work because you are trying to move away from something. Instead focus on what you want instead, and manifest that. Manifest the money on top of it (e.g. “I make $75k per year and I have a new roof”), or keep money out of it and just focus on the essence of what you want.

The best money intention to set when you’re in a bad financial situation

If you’re in a bad financial situation, instead of manifesting a lottery win, I recommend you follow Dave Ramsey’s baby steps and intend only to manifest only the next baby step in your plan. So, for example, if you’re $30k in debt and you have no savings, manifest a $1000 emergency fund. Then once you have that, focus on step two, which is debt repayment. (This is effective because having the emergency fund in place will reduce some of the survival fears.)

In the next article, I talk about how you manifest money once you have set your intention. You can find that here.

  • My Most Popular Articles on Reading the Akashic Records

The Akashic Records are an energetic ‘library’ that exists in the spirit world, and they contain information about the life of every soul that exists – past, present and future.

They are a wonderful resource if we want to find out more about who we really are on the soul level and what our soul purpose is!

If you’re interested in delving into this topic to learn more about who you really are, below I have compiled a list of popular posts I’ve written over the last 10 years about the Akashic Records (all of which are newly updated.)

    1. What has your soul been up to between earthly incarnations?

When we die and cross over to the ‘other side’, we don’t necessarily incarnate again into a physical body immediately. Sometimes we choose to stay on the other side and train in a particular area that will serve us or others in some way. These are called “soul trainings” and they can shape what we are good at when we’re incarnated.

Here is an article I wrote about one “soul training” we know of — The Third Order. (There are 14 soul trainings altogether that we know of and I cover all of them in my Akashic Record Reading Program.)

    2. What kind of lifetime are you in?

In spiritual teachings and texts, you may have heard ideas like ‘Earth is a school’ or ‘souls are here to have experiences and enjoy planet Earth’. There is disagreement about whether Earth is a school or a playground but in fact, it varies from one soul to the next. Some souls are primarily here to learn, others to contribute, others to enjoy life here or offer support to other souls. And some souls are here to experience a combination of all of those.

You can read more about this here: Your Soul Chose 1 of These 4 Reasons to Incarnate.

    3. Where does your soul come from?

25% of the souls incarnated here are star seeds — souls who have their origins in places other than planet earth.

Here is an article which can help you to know whether you’re a star seed: 15 Signs You’re a Star seed.

Here is a list of the star seed groups along with brief descriptions of what each group is about and the soul gifts they have:

A Comprehensive List of the Star seed Types

And here is an article about the two categories of starseed soul.

    4. What are you learning in this lifetime?

Most souls incarnate here with a curriculum of life lessons that they are learning. Some souls focus on these lessons a great deal and others less so. Reading the Akashic Records can allow us to know what we are learning in this life.

  • How to Let the Spiritual Realm Help You

How to Let the Spiritual Realm Help You

If you follow my blog, you may know that I have had a few interesting adventures with long water fasting over the last 18 months or so.

Originally I got into water fasting for health reasons. I completed three long water fasts over a period of 18 months, (coached and guided by Tallis Barker of Waterfasting.org.)

What most surprised me about these water fasts was the effect they had on my spiritual life.

I’ve heard stories over the years from friends who took ayahuasca or psychedelics, and experienced some kind of healing, transformation or insight that helped them evolve spiritually.

I’ve never been the kind of person who is open to taking mind-altering substances, but water fasting has been ‘my’ version of ayahuasca, DMT or LSD.

The main spiritual benefit to water fasting, as I see it, is that it switches off the ego and facilitates a shift from ego consciousness to soul consciousness. When you water fast, there’s no energy coming in and the body has to use its fat stores for energy, so it shuts off what isn’t essential.

For me at least, fasting completely switches off the ego.

The ego is the part of us that creates narratives around fear. It’s defensive and survival-based. I believe that the ego has a function that is positive, too. It protects us. It ensures that we get what we need to survive and be OK in the world.

But of course, it often goes further than that and can encourage states like greed, fear, selfishness and defensiveness.

When I water fast and the ego goes quiet, that means the mind goes quiet. There’s a lot of peace.

The last time I was fasting…

    I didn’t worry.

I didn’t have the energy to anticipate what was coming up.

I didn’t have the energy to regret things

I didn’t have the energy to have FOMO or think “maybe I should be doing such-and-such” instead of being where I was

I didn’t really have any negative thinking at all.

On my most recent water fast, I became aware that the world was completely awash with love.

It felt like I was a fish and the love was the water around me.

I became so aware of the grace and love that surrounded me and surrounds us all.

It wasn’t a thought or an intellectual realisation — it was a full body and full soul experience of that Divine love.

I do know that not too many people are aware of this love or live from that place. I personally have to keep remembering.

Sometimes we can’t feel it, see it or know it is there, because:

    • Our culture distracts us and we’re too busy scrolling on instagram and having FOMO or admiring someone else’s life
    • We’re struggling (life here on earth can be tough)
    • We’re having interpersonal challenges where we don’t feel love or loved
    • We aren’t at all attuned to the spiritual realm, so we don’t know the reality of what is available
    • Or we don’t believe in the spiritual realm and we think that life has no meaning

Often in order to get a first glimpse of that love that surrounds us all, we would need to do one of the following:

    • Become a dedicated meditator
    • Have an near death experience
    • Take a psychedelic

But that unconditional love is always there, whether you can feel it or not.

It is in fact the fabric of our world and the afterlife.

It is what knitted your body together in the womb.

It is what heals your body and your mind in the night when you sleep.

It is what brought you the resources you needed, at the time when you needed them.

It is what guided you out of a dangerous situation or protected you from danger

It is what brought you your beloved partner, child or pet.

You are a part of this love.

It surrounds you and supports you in all things, whether you feel it or not.

I know this deeply and experientially, as I walked through the darkest and deepest valley of my life over the last few years and became even more aware of the beings around me:

The angels, the ascended masters, my own higher self, my guides, my deceased loved ones.

So many of them, I call them the multitude. They offered me so much support precisely because I cried out for it.

There are so many spiritual resources available to us and some of us have no idea

The best way to activate these resources is to pray.

Some of us have an uneasy relationship with prayer because it may remind us of unsettling experiences within religion.

But prayer has nothing to do with religion.

God (or Spirit) has nothing to do with religion.

    God is in everything.

God is that love that we are all swimming in.

Prayer is about bringing something that is non-physical into the physical. Law of Assumption and Law of Attraction techniques, such as setting an intention, SATS or affirmations are prayers.

They take something non-physical (a desire) and through the action of prayer, bring it into the physical.

So, for me, prayer is simply about bringing things from the non-physical into the physical. Everything starts as a non-physical thing.

Prayer is also about knowing that we have a Divine spark inside of us and engaging that part of us, and allowing it to guide us to where we want to be.

We are all swimming in spiritual resources and prayer activates them.

Got no money, need to pay the rent by next week but can’t see a way to make that happen?

    Pray

In a toxic relationship that you can’t seem to leave, no matter how hard you try?

    Pray

Know you need to move away from your home town but no idea where to go?

    Pray

Prayer opens up a bridge of incidents that brings you the resources you need.

    How can you pray?

    It’s really simple.

Speak out loud and say things like:

    God, help me, or

    Spirit, help me

    Angels, help me

    Help me to feel better

    Help me to release this

I don’t want to do this anymore, I need your help to end this pattern/situation/relationship

I want X and I don’t know how I’m going to get there — help me

Angels, can I feel you?/ Can you make your presence felt to me? (This is a prayer I used recently and wrote about in this article.)

God, help me to use my platform in the right way. Bring the right people – students and customers – towards me, who need what I am offering (this is one I use in my work.)

Sometimes I pray multiple times per day and it elevates my life and my vibration in wonderful ways.

I love Caroline Myss’s work for prayer.

Here is a free workshop of hers that I enjoyed:

I also love Lorna Byrne’s work, and she has a video on prayer here:

“Prayer is one of the most powerful things in the world — it can move mountains”

    Lorna Byrne

    Prayer & Near Death Experiences

I have read about (and watched many accounts of) Near Death Experiences and one of the things that has struck me about the moment that a person who is dead (or in a coma and on life support), actually comes back into their physical body is that it often happens immediately when a loved ones prays for them, and prays that they come back.

    Prayer can raise the dead.

I don’t think it can raise the long-dead, but it can bring those who are clinically dead back into body, plucking them out of the spirit world and bringing them back.

If prayer can bring the dead back, it can most certainly help solve any of our problems.

As Lorna Byrne says, prayer can move mountains.

  • My Most Popular Articles On Past Lives

My Most Popular Articles On Past Lives

I’ve been writing about the topic of past lives here on this website for the last 16 years. Many of the articles I’ve written are hard to find as they’re buried under new content. This article aims to highlight some of the old content that has been most popular with my readers (all of which has been recently updated.)

Uncovering the Relevance of my Past Lives to this lifetime

A fascination with my past lives (and past lives in general) was the driving force behind me getting into the spiritual field.

I always felt that I had come into this lifetime to heal, or ‘clean up’ something — even as a child I had some inkling of this, even though I had no awareness of past lives back then or what the healing journey would involve. My life truly has revolved around this unconscious desire to ‘clear up’ past life karma over the last twenty years or so. And while I’ve been on the journey, I’ve learned and experienced so much, and almost all of it has been shared on this website.

Below you will find the articles I’ve written with the stories of how I discovered my past lives (through dreams, readings and past life regressions) and the impact these past lives have had on this current lifetime:

    Past Life Healing & Exploration

    Coletta Long

Many years ago I trained as a past life regressionist. One of the trainings I did was with a NZ based teacher called Dawn Grace Kelly, and the other training was with the US based regressionist Dr Coletta Long.

Back in 2013, Coletta wrote a wonderful guest article for my blog about her experiences as a past life regressionist, which can be found here:

  • New Service – Evolutionary Manifesting Reading

In 2021, I was seriously ill — newly diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and unable to work more than 30 minutes per day. I had 5 other diagnoses on top of that illness. I had had some form of depression for the last 22 years. I had lifelong PTSD from things that happened to me in childhood. I was a ‘low energy’ person for around 15 years prior to getting seriously ill. I was living in a property that I couldn’t move out of (due to illness), owned by an abusive landlady and with a next door neighbour who had been harassing me. Bad things were happening in my family that were heartbreaking. My car had been totalled twice and I’d had 3 serious car crashes in 18 months (people kept driving into me.)

You know that saying, when it rains, it pours!

    That’s how it was.

Before getting to this lowest point of my life in 2021, I had come across the Law of Attraction (that was around 15 years previously). At first I was excited by it, but it made no difference to my life and so I abandoned most of the practices. The techniques felt shallow, like putting beautiful icing on a bad cake (as a friend of mine used to say).

But when I found myself at my lowest point in my life at the end of 2021, I realised I was in a “do or die” moment. Either I give up and accept my fate, or I dig myself out of the hole I was in.

I have a low physical pain threshold (and I was in pain), so I realised giving up was not an option. I needed to soldier on and dig myself out.

Over the next couple of years, I studied the following:

    • Conscious creation and the Law of Assumption (especially the work of Neville Goddard, Joe Dispenza and Vadim Zeland.)
    • Eastern spiritual teachings around karma
    • Evolutionary astrology
    • I went back to the past life regression studies I’d done years earlier
    • And I let my Spirit Guides guide me out of the hole I was in

I worked hard to apply everything I learned.

2.5-3 years later, I am free of illness (and free of all pharmaceutical drugs and have been for nearly 2 years).

I’m no longer worried about being ill or getting ill. I have energy. I shed the diagnoses I had. I am nowhere near as troubled by PTSD as I was before. I’ve been free of depression for 2 years now (after 22 years of it in some form). I’m living in a lovely home that’s right for me. I am free of abusers and harassers. I am able to work again in my business and I feel passionate about my work. I have more peace and wholeness these days, and I’m grateful for the things that happened to me, and all that I learned.

At this point, I am ready to share all that I have learned in the last few years about creating change.

I’ve noticed that some people who use the Law of Assumption or the Law of Attraction (I will abbreviate these to the LOA) don’t manifest what they want.

Some of them who do manifest what they want, don’t keep or manage to sustain what they want.

    I believe I know why…

There are two modes of conscious creation, but contemporary LOA teachings often only focus on one mode.

The first mode of conscious creation is amassing good karma and sending out good energy (with the aim of getting good energy back). This is what most manifesting techniques aim to do.

The second mode of conscious creation is paying off a negative karmic debt, and doing “karmic clean up work”. This is sometimes called healing (although it doesn’t always look like healing).

Everyone comes into conscious creation from different places. Some people need the first mode of conscious creation only, and many people need both modes, but at different times.

So, our path of conscious creation is very individual. It probably isn’t going to apply to anyone else.

Some of us have karma to “delete” or neutralise before we can manifest our desires AND KEEP THEM, and others have none and just need to focus on manifesting techniques.

If we solely use manifesting techniques when we have karma to neutralise, we may effectively be putting icing on a rotten cake, and if we manifest what we desire, we will not usually be able to sustain it. We need to sort the cake out first.

I wrote about this concept in this article.

I believe my recovery was relatively rapid because I knew exactly what to focus on, and at what point. My Spirit Guides ‘coached’ me throughout.

In order to be successful at conscious creation, we need to follow our internal cues and intuition in this way. We need to know what it is we need to focus on, or address next.

For those who are unsure of whether they are on the right path or what their internal cues are telling them, I have created a new type of reading — The Evolutionary Manifesting Reading

This reading draws on my 17 years of work as an Akashic record reader and the last couple of years as an LOA coach.

Here is the concept this reading is based on:

We don’t manifest what we want.

We manifest what we are, and who we are being.

According to the teachings of the Law of Assumption, the contents of your subconscious mind manifest your 3D reality. This is correct, but it’s only one part of the story.

The subconscious mind is part of your auric field. The entirety of your auric field (your “being”) is what manifests your 3D reality.

You receive vital life force from the Creator, and you process this through your auric field and condition it with the contents of your auric field (your emotionalised thoughts, reactions, beliefs, assumptions and the dominant energetic “quality” of your being) and you send this energy out from the front of your energy body into the quantum field, and your 3D reality (with a time lapse) re-arranges itself to match the quality of what you are emitting.

Your 3D reality is a reflection of who you are being, in the entirety of your auric/energy field

Your auric field is composed of multiple energy bodies layered on top of one another. It’s also composed of other systems, such as your chakra system, meridian system, your subconscious mind (which is a part of your aura) and all kinds of information about your soul, including the patterns you came into this lifetime with (from past lives) – which can be wounds stored in the etheric body.

Our lives are a perfect reflection of what is in our energy field. The Law of Assumption should be called the Law of Reflection, because life is reflecting us, and our dominant frequencies.

Most of us don’t know which negative frequencies or wounds we are manifesting according to. Our subconscious mind is like a lawn. Some of us have a ‘lawn’ that is covered in weeds (aka negative beliefs) and we ‘mow over’ those weeds with affirmations and other manifesting techniques. Our affirmations neutralise the effect of the ‘weeds’ but don’t get to the root of the problems. We may end up needing to invest a lot of time in the manifesting techniques everyday in order to keep up this neutralisation process, but ultimately it’s hard work and it may not be sustainable.

Some of us may need to pull the weeds out at the root. That is what this reading is about.

Here’s what is included in this reading:

    • I will look at where you are at in your karmic cycle. A karmic cycle usually lasts between 5 and 15 lifetimes. People often need different conscious creation practices depending on where they are in that cycle
    • I will also look up your life lesson for this lifetime
    • I will find out what your soul’s primary focus is for this lifetime
    • I will find out how energetically aligned you are at this time with your intention
    • I will find out how much negative karma you came into this life with and how much you’ve already neutralised (negative karma often manifests as past life complexes, or wounds)
    • I will ask if there is a past life complex (a manifestation of karma) that you are manifesting according to (this is usually a past life trauma sitting in your energy field, with negative feelings, thoughts attitudes and beliefs attached to it). For this question, I am most focused on finding the past life complex that is interfering with the manifestation of your intention.
    • I will find out how this complex is affecting you in your life
    • If I find a past life karmic complex, I will ask if there is a healing modality that will help you (out of all of the modalities I know of)
    • If I get info about a past life or multiple past lives, I will pass that on
    • If you have no past life complexes affecting you, I will ask about present life complexes or attitudes
    • I’ll scan your auric field for other issues that you can address at this time (out of soul loss caused by present life trauma; earthbound spirits (ordinary, enmeshed or ancestral ones); negative thought forms, unwanted influencing energy, leaks or tears in the energy body.)
    • I will also check if you have a “weakest link” when it comes to conscious manifesting — something you are neglecting or not focusing on, that you could benefit from addressing when it comes to conscious creation. I will go over each point in the manifesting process to see if there is anything (or maybe 2 things) you’re missing
    • I will also ask how much vital life force you have available to manifest your intention, and if it’s low, I will find out why and ask for insight on how you can address this
    • I will ask what is the main energetic quality you need to focus on and anchor into your inner world and environment, to help you manifest your intention
    • I will ask which LOA techniques are the best ones for you to use to manifest this intention
    • I will also ask how long Spirit suggests you spend on these techniques
    • I will also channel a timeline for you in terms of the modes of conscious creation – do you need to focus on mode #1 (using LOA techniques) or mode #2 (doing deep inner work/healing)? I will receive a timeline, in terms of “focus on X for __ amount of time, then switch to Y for __ amount of time”.

Once I’ve done the research, we will have a Zoom session. This lasts anything from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours (it lasts as long as we need it to.) I will tell you what I found in your Akashic soul record. If you have a past life complex (or 2), we will discuss and explore the relevance to this lifetime. We can also talk about revising present life events if there are things that happened in this lifetime that are reminiscent of the previous lifetime, and you’re interested in using that technique. We will find a way for you to move forwards and you will have some suggested next steps for the next 6-18 months. I will also send an email after the reading, summarising the suggested next steps.

This is a unique reading and there is no-one else in the world offering this kind of reading, to my knowledge.

    Requirements for this reading:

    • You need to have a specific intention you want to manifest
    • You need to be already aware of the principles of conscious creation.
    • You’ve been working with manifesting techniques regularly already but you feel blocked, stuck or like you’re missing something (I don’t read for people who have no experience using LOA techniques)
    • You’re a committed conscious creator and you’re willing to do the work
    • You’re open to trying new things and to new information (we often have significant blind spots when it comes to our past life karma)
    • You believe in: past lives, the Akashic Records, prayer, karma and Spirit Guides. You know that the Law of Assumption/Attraction is one major spiritual law, but that there are other laws, too
    • You are not in crisis and you have the resources (e.g. time/energy) to do the work you may need to do
    • You are open to discussing your challenges (and potentially, your past) in the session with me. I will also ask you to take the ACEs quiz and ask you for your score at the end of the session
    • You need to send me your DOB, place of birth, name and a recent photo so I can read your Akashic soul record
    • I will also ask if you currently have any physical symptoms of illness (illness is often a reflection of karma) so you need to be open to mentioning any health challenges, too
    • If you have a very traumatic past/ a high ACE score, it’s best if you come to this session having done some previous work with a therapist or a healer. People who have never discussed their negative experiences before may find they experience distress after the session, if we do delve into negative patterns or past life traumas
    • Or if you have PTSD or traumas that are currently affecting you, it’s a good idea to have support set up (in case what we discuss triggers you) since I am not a counsellor or psychotherapist and cannot offer ongoing support to people in that way

This reading takes up to 4 hours to research and deliver.

This reading is only available periodically. There is no wait list. I will notify newsletter subscribers when the session is open again.

    My Experience

    • I have been online as an Akashic record reader and intuitive for the last 17 years
    • I have coached conscious creators for the last 2 years
    • Trained past life regressionist
    • Have done extensive revision work in my own life
    • Was on a healing path for years, including a few years in therapy
    • I have a deep understanding of trauma (past and present life) and how it manifests and affects us
    • I am a warm and gentle guide for your journey, and someone who loves to see people succeed

    FAQ:

Can I have this reading if I’ve had an Akashic record reading before?

Yes, but you will need to let me know your life lessons (plus percentages of completion) along with your life focus, if you know it.

If you’ve already received that info before and I research it again, I’ll receive less relevant information this time.

Are you going to “clear” my blocks in my akashic record, in this session?

I hardly ever do that. I used to offer it many years ago but it took me a while to realise that it didn’t work well for unravelling deep past life karmic complexes. Clearing in the akashic records worked best for mild past life trauma and past life vows, so I mostly stopped doing it. I prefer past life regression for past life healing (or present life revision, if there is a situation in this life that is reminiscent of a past life).

But if I find something in your soul record that I think can be shifted by prayer, I will tell you and I will suggest something for you.

Will I have to do further healing sessions with you?

No. I don’t currently offer any kind of healing myself.

I may direct you to someone in my practitioner directory or somebody I know who offers a particular type of session if I’m told you could benefit from it, but I don’t get any commission or reward from doing so. This is all about what works for you and what will help you.

Will I need financial resources to fulfil the recommendations you will give in this reading?

Not necessarily. For example, if your guides think you need to do inner child work next, you may be able to find free inner child resources or low cost resources, like books.

Revision may be recommended for some people, and this is free.

Can I have further LOA coaching after the initial reading?

I don’t believe in the benefits of ongoing coaching, like a weekly or monthly thing and I don’t want to work in that way with people. I believe that once we’ve learned how to consciously create, and we know what we need to focus on, we need to just go away for several months and do the work.

But I am open to supporting people who are doing revision work independently and I am also open to speaking with you again if you need further help, but I don’t offer this until at least 6 months have passed since your initial appointment.

Where does the info in this reading come from?

I will tune in to your akashic soul record and also get any additional info from your Spirit Guides.

Will you tell me about all of my past life complexes for this lifetime?

No, we will focus on what is most helpful for the next 6-18 months, and what is going to create a shift now.

I will cover maximum 2 past life complexes. You may have more (I did.)

Do you guarantee any kinds of results for me?

    No.

My results are not at all typical. I got extraordinary results because I was so tapped in to my intuition and I worked so hard at creating change. I also had time and some money to spend. Getting significant results often involves time and effort.

Your results depend on you, and I don’t guarantee them or take any responsibility for them. Please don’t sign up for this reading if you’re looking for a spiritual magic bullet.

I don’t have any experience using LOA techniques. Can I still apply for this session?

You must be currently working with LOA techniques.

If you want to apply for this session in the future I suggest you start by reading everything in the ‘foundational’ section of my free LOA guide and begin a daily conscious creation practice. That way, when sessions are available again you will be eligible to apply.

    Apply for the session here.

Before we get started, you may be curious about the name of this course ‘Evolutionary Manifesting’.

What does it mean and why this name?

As part of my journey of creating better health, I studied Evolutionary Astrology. According to evolutionary astrologer Steven Forrest:

“Evolutionary Astrology is a name used to describe a style of astrology that understands each person’s birth chart as a map of the soul’s evolution.”

An evolutionary astrologer can read a person’s birth chart, and know things about what their past lives were like. They can find out where that person is in their karmic cycle, why they may be struggling with certain patterns, and what the soul is learning.

(This reading teaches you to do something similar, but through the Akashic Records, and with the aim of helping people to manifest their desires.)

That is why I have called this modality Evolutionary Manifesting.

Evolutionary manifesting points to the idea that how effectively we manifest depends on the amount of our past life karma, and if we have some, how effectively we can neutralise it. It takes into account the idea that we are on a soul on an evolutionary journey and that this is not the only lifetime we will live.

These are ideas that are rejected by some in the wider LOA community and the results of this can be seen all over the place in these communities — people who have no idea why they struggle to manifest their desires, or what they can do about it. Many people have been “affirming and persisting” for a desire for years, with no results to show.

PS. You can find out more about the upcoming Evolutionary Manifesting course here.

  • How to Create a Profitable & Fulfilling Spiritual Business in 2024

How to Create a Profitable & Fulfilling Spiritual Business in 2024

There are two ways I see people commonly fail in the area of spiritual business.

    1. They start a social media account and try to turn it into a business

For example, posting Tarot card readings or inspirational quotes, and trying to monetise that.

    2. They start a more general site about spirituality…

…Often involving general written and video content about spirituality.

Most people can’t make either of those scenarios profitable

I’ve been in business for many years now and I’ve had time to see the ventures that succeed and those that fail.

I’ve seen plenty of people with thousands of Instagram or Facebook followers shut their account down and go back to a day job, because they didn’t make enough money from their social media page.

And I’ve seen so many people start a more general site or blog and then give up after a few years because it didn’t gain any traction (this is a very common outcome!)

Instead of either of those options, here’s what I recommend instead for aspiring spiritual business owners:

Work out what problem you’re going to solve for spiritually-oriented people, train in solving that, and then go offer it.

What kinds of problems do spiritually-oriented people have?

(In brackets after each problem, I’m going to suggest a solution that you can train in)

    • Bad relationships they want to move on from, but feel unable to (Cord cutting)
    • A traumatic past (past life regression, Craniosacral therapy, tons of other modalities – some spiritual, some psychological)
    • Not knowing why they are here; feeling off track with their soul’s purpose (Akashic Record Readings)
    • At a choice point in life, and unsure how to proceed (Tarot readings)
    • Living in a home that has bad energy (space clearing)
    • Can’t get what they want out of life (manifesting or Law of Assumption/Attraction coach)
    • General curiosity about past lives or Spirit Guides (my Intuitive Reading Program is unavailable at the moment as it is being updated, but will teach people how to do these types of reading)
    • Needing guidance on the topic of relationships (Tarot reading or relationship readings based on Akashic Records info)

So, train in something – ideally something that you have benefited from yourself.

Offer it low cost or free initially to get some practice.

    Build your client base.

    Do a great job.

    Aim to be of service.

Market yourself based on the problem you’re solving for people.

As you attract more people and get better at what you’re doing, put your prices up.

As you learn things through working with people, create content (articles or videos) to answer common questions, and educate people about what you do.

Then add the social media accounts at this point, if you want to.

Perhaps train in something else, to add a new service to your business (many spiritual business owners have trained in multiple modalities or more than one, at the very least.)

Keep it all about what other people want.

Don’t focus on what you want.

All of us want to earn a good living and be successful, but to succeed, we need to take the focus off what we want. It’s about helping other people get what they want, and doing a really good job.

This is the most direct route to building a good spiritual business.

Focus on delivering services initially, not on creating content.

It can take 1-3 years to train in something, and get going with your business.

Anyone who says you can do it all in 6 months isn’t being realistic.

Many people will need to pursue training while working in their job.

    The value of client work

My client work has been a rich source of knowledge and learning. I created my online courses to give my clients what they were already asking for. Some of the content that went into those courses came from my client work, too. The articles I write are often inspired by what my students and clients ask me, or want to know about. Relationships feed into my business (and show me where people need help or clarity). I can’t see a time when I will ever stop working with clients.

So, if you are trying to create a spiritual business without a group of people that you are working with, it is much harder and it can get stale quite quickly.

    The myth of passive income

A past student of mine recently asked me how she can create a passive income with her spiritual business.

There was a passive income craze maybe 10-15 years ago, where everyone was pursuing passive income.

I’m sorry to burst anyone’s bubble but ‘passive income’ isn’t ever completely passive. There is nothing you can do in a spiritual business where you just set something up, put no work in and it generates a profit, month after month. The only way you can make that work is by hiring someone to work for you and running ads, but you need capital to invest for that kind of situation.

I was ill in 2022 and worked an average of about 2 hours per week, and still made a full-time income. That’s about as passive as it gets, but bear in mind I worked for 15 years to develop my website before I took that time off, and it’s not something I would want to repeat year after year, otherwise the business would eventually stop making an income.

My online courses seem like passive income for me, but they are not. I have to update them (I am doing this at the moment) and it can be a lot of work. I am constantly adding to them and gleaning new insights which need to be integrated into the course. People need tech support accessing their content at times. People sometimes have queries that need answering before they sign up. Students have questions. I write articles and send out newsletters reminding people that these courses exist. There is a fair amount of work that goes into these so-called sources of ‘passive income’. It’s really quite active, actually.

Don’t follow get-rich-quick schemes. Focus instead on helping others, and good old-fashioned service. If you keep building that year after year, you may eventually have something that can make you an income while you take a break.

You might also want to check out my Spiritual Business Workshop if you’re interested in learning more about the marketing side of a spiritual business.

    In summary…

It is possible to create a successful and profitable full-time or part-time spiritual business by offering services. Many of my students have done it. Some of my students used my trainings to augment their existing offerings in the intuitive and healing arts, and become even more successful.

I believe that offering services is the best way to go about creating a successful spiritual business.

By contrast, I don’t know anyone who created a successful spiritual blog without working with clients. I also don’t know anyone who was able to quit their day job to run a spiritual Instagram account. I only know people who have failed at those things.

    Energetic Principles

Don’t forget that you can do all of the above and still fail at spiritual business. In order to be successful, you may need to work on consciously creating a successful business and a healthy income. For this, I recommend ‘The Abundance Book’ by John Randolph Price.

  • Why I Think Giving Future Predictions Is Not a Good Use of Psychic Abilities

Why I Think Giving Future Predictions Is Not a Good Use of Psychic Abilities

As a psychic, I almost never give predictions and in this article, I’m going to explain why.

    How predictions work

I believe that maybe between 5 and 25% of our life is planned out before we get here (although the number of pre-planned events varies from person to person).

Often we decide before we incarnate whether we will have children, and how many. Sometimes we have a soul contract to get into a relationship with another soul. Other times, we will make a contribution to a field or industry. Or it may be that we are meant to live in a certain country.

So, some of our life may be set in stone (although the timing of these things often won’t be fixed.)

The remaining 75-95% in terms of what we choose in our lives are probabilities, not certainties.

We do come into this life with certain probabilities, and these are based on our past lives.

Our past life karma is reflected largely in the childhood and family that we choose, and then our formative experiences condition us to make certain choices later in life.

For example, if you have spent many lifetimes being the ‘other woman’ or ‘other man’ in an affair, you will come into this life with the likelihood that you’ll do this again. You may be unmarried but in a longtime affair with someone. You’ll have a childhood that teaches you that you are ‘second best’ and don’t deserve a partner of your own.

Another example is if you grow up around addicts and you’re abused, neglected and traumatised. There are certain probabilities that arise from that.

You’re less likely to go on to lead a successful, content life. Maybe it’s 70% probable that you will become an addict, and it’s 30% likely that you will recover from those early childhood experiences and heal yourself.

Or in the example of the person who keeps getting into affairs, maybe they are 80% likely to be an affair partner and 20% likely to leave that kind of relationship behind for good.

When psychics are giving you a prediction, they can only predict with some degree of certainty the 5-25% that is set in stone (and even then, they can get it wrong because no intuitive is ever 100% accurate.)

When psychics are making a prediction based on the other 75-95% of your life (that depends on your free will), they are going off probabilities. And those change based on what you’re doing and what kind of attitude you have.

That is why predictions are sometimes wrong.

I also think that getting predictions based off probabilities can sometimes be harmful and mess with peoples’ heads (and their free will).

For example, let’s say that a young woman in her twenties is told by a psychic that she won’t meet her future husband until she’s 37 and she takes this on board. Perhaps she has opportunities to go on dates, but she declines and puts her focus elsewhere, because she thinks she isn’t going to meet the right person until later.

It’s possible that this psychic was correct and she isn’t going to meet her person until she’s 37.

It’s also possible that the psychic was basing their prediction on probabilities, or that they were just wrong.

Maybe this young woman missed her opportunity to meet the right partner when she was in her twenties because she took this prediction on board, As a result, she finds a partner later and ends up having one child when she actually would have preferred more than one.

This is why I believe predictions are in some cases harmful.

Even if she is going to meet her husband aged 37, the prediction isn’t going to change that, so why tell her?

And then you have the people I’ve come across who were in abusive relationships and one of the reasons they can’t let go is because a psychic 10 years ago told them this person will be the love of their life. So, they stick around waiting for the relationship to turn into the fairytale they were told it would be, when it never will.

I’ve also come across people who did a University degree or chose a career they hate because a psychic predicted they would, and their parents took that prediction and ran with it. When people are young and unsure of what is right for them, they can easily be influenced to do something they wouldn’t otherwise do, based on a prediction.

So, for all these reasons, predicting the future is often one of the less helpful ways to use psychic abilities.

The only times I would give a prediction is:

    1. When I felt someone was heading for a bad outcome but it could be changed (but in my experience, many people who are heading for a bad outcome are learning something in particular and not interested in course correcting)

    2. When I felt certain that someone had a beautiful, bright future ahead of them and I knew telling them would make them happier

I have been given future information in the past about my own life but I don’t like it. I have an agreement with Spirit that I want to know as little as possible and that they are only to tell me if it is something really necessary.

A better use of psychic abilities

Personally, I find it more helpful to look at questions like:

    • What is your purpose in this life & what are you learning?
    • Did you bring any negative karmic patterns into this life?
    • How have they manifested for you?
    • What can you do to change them?

This is the sort of thing that can shift outcomes for people and where I’m headed in my work.

As I said, this is my opinion, based on my experiences. I realise that others may disagree.

PS. If you want to shift the probabilities of your life, shed past life patterns that are keeping you stuck, and get on your highest timeline (even if the odds appear to be stacked against you), check out my free Law of Assumption guide. In this article, I describe how I did this for myself.
